Poor Statesman indeed. A fun thing I have noticed is that pretty much every single time you travel to the 'future' in the game, HE IS DEAD.

Be it the future of operation:destiny, the future of the LRSF, the future showed by Mender Ramiel. etc.

And I can't say I am surprised. The guy has been a non issue since this game was released, many years ago.

Dawnslayer on Virtue.

But he's still at the top of the page, staring down at the right side of your keyboard.

Let's not forget that the only person he loved like a brother, who fought in The Greatest War with him, now wants to kill him.

They should give the brotherly love thing another go - Praetorian-style.

the problem is, the reason WHY Lord Recluse hates Statesman above all else is because Marcus is very STRONGLY about order, but ours has a decent level of conscious to avoid going to the extremes like Reichsman or Tyrant. On the flipside, Lord Recluse is actually a very true Darwinist, meaning he'll allow just about anything if you prove you have the strength for it, and it's why he's accepting of villains even defeating him (but he doesn't like Heroes doing it because he feels heroes will just give their power over to the weak) at the end of the final redside arcs. (Part of me suspected that Operation: DESTINY was because Lord Recluse wants to find a villain who might be a worthy successor. not that he plans to go down, but just in case)
So Tyrant probably just reminds Lord Recluse why he hates Statesman in the first place (as well as believing that Marcus always saw himself as better than him. Something Tyrant probably did when Richter was still alive but Primal Marcus probably didn't) and might even see/use Tyrant to motivate himself (and possibly Arachnos) to defeat Statesman. With a small bit of fear that Statesman's victory over villainy would result in Primal Earth becoming another Praetoria.
This kind of makes it amazing Lord Recluse even tolerates Malta since they too are control freaks (or at least would be from Lord Recluse's standpoint).

Statesman gave us Enhancement Diversification. I say he's getting what he deserves.

P.S. I've decided to name the new couple Statesline. Discuss.

I caught it, but my inner RPer thought: "All things given, I think that's the LEAST of Statesman's concerns about turning into Tyrant."

Drop the Extra 's' and we should call it "Stateline".

Ma'am, you are under arrest. Step away from the keyboard, and keep your hands in the air. The charges are fanfic writing, slashfic, illegal pairing, aiming to disturb, mental corruption and overuse of winkies. Anything you say will be noted and held against you in court. Get in the car. That is an order.

The reason no one comes to his meeting is cause he's a JERK.

I'm not talking about the dev.

The Character has always been portrayed as an arrogant jerk.

He is a jerk pure and simple in any alternate version of him. He's a control freak and took the ***** way out on his powers showing he has no forethought and is a slave to the well.

Never liked the over the top goodness of him too unbelievable.Wish he would die off and get someone in there thats more interesting.

Not on my page. So I guess you can include Admuncher on the list of things that have stomped on States.

Unlike us, he didn't have the benefit of a time traveling fairy godfather from the distant future to clue him in on the actual nature of the Well before he took a sip. He may be a control freak, but you can't site that as an example of lacking foresight.

*cough* He didn't have the person who overthrew Mender Silos helping him. *cough*

Statesman may not have foresight, but he didn't have hardly any physical sight then either. *Corny joke tamborine smash*

Oh, right...

He also drank from the Well because he was faced with two options:

1) A slow, painful death at the hands of chronic mustard gas poisoning, which results in a lot of secondary problems.

2) Drink from the Well and live.

Their real mistake was opening Pandora's Cube Shaped Container Of Fun-Fun Happy Time. I'm convinced the Essence of the Well is actually Pandora, as she is cursed to bring about ruin and discord to humans (in the original myths, not that fru-fru later crap).

I think I'm the only person who actually likes the Faultline/Fusionette pairing.

But then I never really understood the appeal of Shipping or Die For Our Ship.

The graphics by Warden_De_Dios and Golden Girl are hilarious. And many clever quips abounding throughout. Many chuckles and LoLs. Fine thread.

"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"

"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."
