I feel bad for Statesman...
So my only question is..........is Lady Jane - Fusionettes mother?
They both exhibit the same lemming style battle choices.
@Doctor Gemini
Arc #271637 - Welcome to M.A.G.I. - An alternative first story arc for magic origin heroes. At Hero Registration you heard the jokes about Azuria always losing things. When she loses the entire M.A.G.I. vault, you are chosen to find it.
I think I'm the only person who actually likes the Faultline/Fusionette pairing.
But then I never really understood the appeal of Shipping or Die For Our Ship. |
This next line will be my revenge for linking to TVTropes.
You've been warned!!!!!!
Wait, there's incestuous necrophiliac MK fanfic out there? Did not need to know that.
Muahahahahah!!!!!!

Actually it's a problem with a lot of combat NPCs. Based on the new version of Maria's arc the entire Freedom Phalanx except for Manticore have a large does of lemming in their DNA. I think the problem is the devs gave them high perception (to stop them from getting lost) but then set their AI to aggressive so they attack whatever they can see. Statesman and Lady Liberty are by far the worst but Positron is pretty bad as well.
I say FEH to all this Statesman/Tremblor slash yaoi!
This thread is now about BROMANCE~!
Let us celebrate the original CoH bromance: Positron and Synapse!
TOTALLY MANLY!!!!
Positron: "There are no bugs [in City of Heroes], just varying degrees of features."
I love this thread. Tenderly and sincerely.
More Statesman/Faultline! Wait... shipping names! Statesline!

He tried cutting himself once, and nearly sawed his arm off before he could stop.
"I do so love taking a nice, well thought out character and putting them through hell. It's like tossing a Faberge Egg onto the stage during a Gallagher concert." - me
@Palador / @Rabid Unicorn
Am I the only one who likes Fusionette? When most of my highly played characters team up with her the bad guys are usually too busy bouncing off the walls to even know who their fighting...and then they're dead. Fun times!
|
My first mission with her, I was one a blaster, and I was able to basically shoot things before she could see them, and then when they took few steps WHAM! double blaster, double barreled beatdown!
My next time was on a tank, which meant I was able to keep everything taunted AND she provided some MUCH needed additional firepower to compliment my tanker's dismal damage output.
The there was the time I was on a scrapper. ... Poor girl was struggling to keep up with my scrapperlock.

I think his arrogance stems from his Half-Mask-Is-It-A-Mask?-I-Don't-Know compressing his brain. Infact, that's probably the reason he gets curb stomped a lot.
"Blessed with godly powers! CURSED with a stupid mask-thing!"
I was doing some playthroughs of City of Heroes. Now they will serve as memories of a better time ...
I said it first! Statesline FTW! I think Golden Girl should graphic up their lovechild for giggles...and trauma.

I'll pay 20,000,000 Inf for a banner shipping Statesman and Faultline to use as my sig. Something romantic and sweet like this.
*searches* Why, so you did! All credit to you, Utopia. You're onto something awesome with Statesline.

I'm not talking about the dev.
The Character has always been portrayed as an arrogant jerk.
You are correct: Statesman is pretty much a jerk in the comics elsewhere, while in the backstory to the game, he is an inspirational and selfless leader. In the backstory, 1,000 heroes willingly follow Statesman to almost certain death (800 die) in the Alpha Gambit so that the Omega Team could enter the portals and disable them. The arrogant Statesman of the comics could not inspire anyone to follow him anywhere.
Where have you gone, Troy Hickman, a nation turns its lonely eyes to you...
"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"
"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."
