  1. Not too long ago I asked this same question with demons. A bit embarrassing to ask it again, but as a new PvP'er I like knowing my options first. Now is that so wrong?

Anyway, I was planning to make a new Mastermind, and I'm a big fan of the Necromancy set due to the fact that... well, zombies are awesome. Although I have two questions before I'm willing to make it:

    1) Can Necromancy actually work for PvP? I've heard it can, so long as you have a way to help the pets get into melee range.

    2) If it can, what secondary would compliment it best? I figured it'd be either Storm Summoning or Dark Miasma, seeing as those are best to deter movement while at the same time debuff the enemy. Or maybe I'm wrong and there's a better strategy... I'm pretty unsure. Therefore the question arises, what secondary would work best for Necromancy?
  2. So what we got here is a SS/Regen/Soul brute made by a friend of mine. If anyone can give some critique on how well it'll work, that'd be real great. Be gentle, please.

Keep in mind, I myself am not that great of a build maker, so be as simple as possible if you feel the need to explain anything.

    Demons/???

I've had a friend say actually Force Fields paired with demons could be amazing. There any verification on that? Either way, the sonic and therm ideas do sound pretty nice.
  4. Impervious Fist

    Demons/???

So I'm new to the whole PvP thing. However, one thing that always had my interest was masterminds. Demons especially. Which, lucky for me, I heard that demons can be viable in PvP. No idea if that's true or not, but if it is, anyone have any idea what secondary would be best to pair with it?
  5. Going to need to post the chunk. Datalinks aren't working right now.
  6. Ooh, very nice. Also appreciate it for making it so I can understand it. Thank you for that too.
  7. If anyone could post a Street Justice/Shield build for a brute that would be great.

Only criteria is that it's not too expensive if possible. I'm not very picky, so long as it's atleast decent I'll be happy and that if there are any extra notes that they'd be dumbed down a bit for me. Not exactly a genius with build making. Thank you!

    Perfect answer. Danke.

    Beginning Melee

So I'm on a quest to become atleast alright with most ATs. I've had experience with most of them over 7 years. I started with Controllers, migrated to Defenders, than Corruptors, than Blasters. Now I'm stuck. I want to move to melee ATs next, but I don't have much experience with them. So is there any good melee Primary/Secondary that would be good to begin to get used to it a bit?

That mission was amazing. I agree with that. Especially considering I don't understand the other hero morality mission.
  12. I get the feeling that someone did this already. If not then I'm happy to be the person to ask. Which missions would you say make you feel most heroic or most villainous?

  16. *POSSIBLE SPOILERS BELOOOOOOW*

Never thought about it before, so let's see how many Praetors and other important Praetorians are down.

    Praetorians defeated are:
    Neuron
    Anti-Matter
    Marauder
    Battle Maiden
    Nightstar
    Siege
    Bobcat
    Serene
Shadowhunter (since he y'know, died already)

    And the one's left:
    Tyrant
    Mother Mayhem
    Dominatrix
    Chimera
    Black Swan
    Diabolique
and the forgotten 2, Malaise and Infernal

Hmm, wonder what's going to happen in the future.

Or better yet, with your middle finger and index finger, pick him up by the nostrils and walk out of the mission carrying him like that while walking down the streets of Atlas for all to see. Facing your harmed ones is worse than death, but having a Spines Scrapper pick you up through your nose is even worse than both of those put together.

Also, the alignment powers for full heroes/villains are generally better than the rogue/vigilante powers.

But if I think heroes/villains are unfairly better, and you think rogues/vigilantes are unfairly better, maybe really they all have enough benefits and downsides to about even out.
Well see, this is where I'm lost. See, access to just about everything but contacts on the other side seems a bit better than a new currency. I mean, look at the Statesman and Recluse Task/Strike Forces. You can get 2 Hamidon Enhancements in a day if you wish, along with being able to do any Task Force on any side. All just for losing an extra currency which to me feels like it takes a bit of time to build up.

Now see making that easier to build up would be overkill. What I would like to see is some extra smaller stuff that could add up to one big thing. Like maybe 2 extra arcs specifically for pure heroes or villains (where the villain is actually a villain working for power rather than payment). Although this is only the opinion of someone who believes the Alignments favor the people who are gray. I find that the heroes and villains are at a major content disadvantage, and a small boost of content to just the Red and the Blue sides plus the alignment merits, just may be equal to being able to do 25% of the content from the other side.

tl;dr: My belief is that a tiny boost to the original sides would even it out.

Again, this is in the eyes of someone who feels alignments favor the gray.
  20. I try my best to keep my complaints to myself, but I think it's time to let one out.

This is obviously just picking at the smallest things to some people, and I could see why, but I have a huge amount of Vigilantes/Rogues and now I've finally noticed that to me, I hardly see a point in playing ordinary one-side Heroes and Villains anymore. Let alone any Praetorian now that I've finished all of the arcs and Issue 21 allows starting as any Archetype at level 1. Okay, they get Hero/Villain merits sure, but how is that really equal to being opened to twice as much content as someone who is able to get those merits? Maybe we could get some pure hero/villain arcs, or maybe some other benefit for heroes/villains? Or, maybe, some slight restrictions on Vigilantes/Rogues?

tl;dr: Vigilantes/Rogues have more benefits than Heroes/Villains/Praetorians and I'm mad about it but a bit shy about complaining about it.
  21. Well it's the start of something. If it were Galaxy alone, I don't see the reason why they would use the train icon for the Crystal's marker.
  22. (I've done absolutely no research on this anywhere besides the game itself, so if this was brought up somewhere else than sorry about that. )

When I first went to Oro after the head start and checked my map so I can go to the Echo of Galaxy City, I noticed something. The map marker didn't say Galaxy City, it said "Ouroboros Echo Teleporter." Not only that, but rather than bringing you straight to Galaxy City, it brings up a window, asking where you want to go. Doesn't that seem to imply more areas will be added if the crystal doesn't just port you to Galaxy? Does this mean Galaxy City is only the beginning of the destroyed zones?

    Moral Game

Okay, I never really took part in a forum game or started one before, but I guess I'll leave this here anyway.

Here's what I have in mind. I present a problem like:

"Bar Owner sets bar on fire for insurance money!"

The person below me then provides one or more alignment(s), and how they would handle the situation, and give another problem. Here's an example:

Hero: Save everyone in the bar, bring the owner to justice.

Vigilante: Beat up Bar Owner, and then burn bar again.

Rogue: Figure out how that brilliant man did that.

Villain: Figure out how he profitted from you burning the bar...

New problem: Bus crashes into park bench

    Get it?
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, here's the real first problem:

"Man is loud at the movie theater."
  24. I don't know as much as the next guy about i21, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume real money is going to be used in this new market that's replacing boosters and veteran rewards. If it just so turns out that it isn't free, does anyone think it will be of equal value to the boosters and the other optional stuff we pay to look pretty?
