What? That's too bad, I like some of his films. The Naked Gun movies were some of my favorites when I was younger. He'll be missed.

I will say the same thing I say for actors his age. He lived a good life so there is no need for me to mourn him.

says he died from pneumonia...wasn't that the same way Bernie Mac died?

Leslie Nielsen was one of those actors who I just loved to watch. Even in bad movies, he'd always be the one bright spot.

He'll be sorely missed.

his deadpan humor and hysterical plays on words influenced me a lot, loved his work on airplane and the cop show (name escapes me) some of his later stuff was not great, but he worked with what he was given, and when given something good, he was great, will be missed.

It was Police Squad which only had 6 episodes but I just loved it.

Leslie I will miss you, you were one of the greats in my book.

Hard to picture him as a serious, dramatic actor, but that is what he was before Airplane!

One of those guys, who even in the sillier, dumber of his movies, still made me laugh with a line reading and/or a look.

RIP

Yeah, I remember his role that one horror movie, I think it was Creepshow. It was so different seeing him as a villain in a serious role.

Was it Creepshow or The Twilight Zone movie? Where he palyed the guy who buried his victims in the sand then watched the tide roll over them? That definitely gave me chills.

And, apparently, he was the deadpan voice of Generation X/Y, judging by the reactions of my friends. Who knew?

I am serious...

And don't call me Shirley.

Just read about this myself and came to see if it had been posted.

This is one of those times I'm very sad for the death of a person, not because of how the person died or their age or that their life was cut short, I mean he lived a long full life and died in his sleep, not a horrible way to go, but because I feel that our society, and we as a people no longer get to enjoy his presence and his talents.

Obviously he will be missed, it may be time to go buy some of those movies of his I don't own at the moment. So long Mr. Nielsen and thank you.

What a crappy thing to wake up to.

I mean, 84 is a nice run and all. But still, he had such a huge impact on my sense of humor being what it is ... yeah, this sucks.

I mourn him cause even at 84, he was still making movies that made me smile and laugh...I'm saddened cause he'll no longer be making those movies.

Thanks for the laughs, Mr. Nielsen.
