Yes it's the first look at Mockingbird Lane, the re-envision of the Munsters. I don't like the look of the cast, no heavy make-up no Halloween like costumes. All the things that made the Munsters so likeable. No standing out in the crowd and not caring. Now I will give it a try and try to hold my contempt, but when you've grown up watching the Munsters and Addams Family one may have had some preconceived notions. The one thing I did like was you get to see Spot in all his glory.

Quote:I think this is the problem I have, how can a director be fair to all the characters when he/she would want theirs out in front. And what character would he play? My guess would be the Flash, I just can't see him as Sups, Batman or GL. Now if he want to be WW then more power to himDirecting a movie like this, while also trying to star in it, is going to be a huge problem, I think. The Avengers worked because of how much time was given to each character, without one overshadowing the others. If you're the director and one of the stars, I doubt you'd give that kind of equality.
Quote:The bigger problem, in my mind, is how the DC movies have been made versus the Marvel ones. The Marvel movies tried to tie the characters together in a universe where they all existed around the same time anyways, but operated in different areas. In this way, you could bring them all together when you needed them.
But the DC movies have made the heroes out to be the only hero in their universe. Take the recent Batman movie for existence. SPOILERS!!!!!!!! If Superman and Batman existed in the same universe, at the same time, why the heck didn't Superman come and beat the crud out of Bane and save the day when Batman was gone? If Superman was around and just hadn't revealed himself yet, wouldn't the people of Gotham immediately blame him for not helping them when they were in massive misery? Or what about Green Lantern? Couldn't he have just come and surrounded the nuke in a force field, and fling it into space?
That's going to be a disconnect that the director will either have to address or just ignore, and both are bad options. -
That's right WB is looking at Ben Affleck to direct the Justice League movie, I'm not sure he is a good choice for the directorship, but I could be wrong. It will depend on the treatment of the characters as a whole and how they are all brought together, like it was done in the Avengers movie. If it's done in that style it could very well be great, but that's my opinion.

Quote:Warner Bros. appears to have their eye on Ben Affleck to direct the big screen Justice League feature film. Variety reports that the studio has sent the Argo director Will Beall's recently announced screenplay to gauge his interest in helming.

Quote:DC Comics' answer to Marvel's Avengers, "Justice League" is expected to bring together marquee characters Batman and Superman, as well as Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and The Flash. Affleck has made it clear that he's only interested in directing films in which he also stars -- "The Town" and "Argo" are proof of that -- so its likely that if this pairing ever came to fruition, he would don a suit of his own. DC Entertainment, Warner Bros. and Affleck's reps declined to comment. -

My condolences to the victims and their families. It is a sad day indeed when a joyous time is marred by this senseless tragedy. Christopher Nolan as issued a statement on this tragedy...Quote:He says more just look here---->

Ernest Borgnine has passed away at the age of 95. You made remember seeing him in RED. But I remember seeing McHale's Navy as a kid, watching him pull those fast ones week after week. He was a great actor both dramatic and comedic.

Well blow me down..Seems Sony has gotten Genny Tartakovsky to helm the CGI version of Popeye, no date set yet for release. This should be interesting to see who they get for the voice actors tho. And am interested in what the premise of the story will be.

Interesting interview with the creators of the "Legend of Korra". I haven't seen all the current episodes yet (working 2 jobs can do that to you) but I'm looking forward to seeing the season finale.

My personal favorite book was the Martian Chronicles. First read it when I was a sophomore in HS, was later told that was kind of young to read it, but I didn't care I loved it. I've read it some 5 or 6 times since then, it never get's old. The Illustrated Man is another great book. I have to attribute both my Dad and Ray Bradbury for fostering my love of Science Fiction. I will always cherish his writings. Rest in Peace Ray not only have you earned it, you can write about it so the rest of us can read it when we get there.

Yes the powers that be are looking at rebooting Van Helsing with Tom Cruise. Now I really liked the Hugh Jackman version just not so sure we even need a reboot. Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are spearheading the project too.
Quote:Variety has the news about the latest project Orci and Kurtzman were handed in their two-year, first-look deal with Universal. The duo are also working on The Mummy reboot for Universal and an Amazing Spider-Man 2″ rewrite for Sony. Thats all in addition to their ongoing production on Enders Game, their work on Star Trek 2″ and their upcoming press tours for People Like Us and Now You See Me. Quote:It will be interesting to see if Orci and Kurtzman start from scratch or if they go back to Guillermo del Toros previous attempt to adapt the story in 2010. In all likelihood theyll go back to the drawing board, but we would love to see del Toro help them out, especially since Cruise was going to be involved in his version of the project as well. -
Well according to this article it's official he IS Khan...
http://blastr.com/2012/04/confirmed-benedict-cumber.php
Quote:But for this part I will have to go take a listen to my DVD again...So, according to sources, the always-awesome Benedict Cumberbatch is playing none other than ... Khan Noonien Singh! Well, no one ever saw that coming ... just kidding, guys. The character was originally played by Ricardo Montalban in TOS episode "Space Seed" and again in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
The news just broke over at TrekMovie, who confirm that the Sherlock star has indeed been cast as Khan, the Eugenics War leader and Capt. James T. Kirk's most memorable mortal enemy.
Quote:And again the team kind of already let the cat out of the bag on this one when they recorded the DVD commentary back in 2009 and said they had considered a post-credits sceene showing the Botany Bay, Khan's sleeper ship. -

Friends, I'm thrilled to share this news with you today. As announced at Emerald City Comicon, where I'm appearing this weekend, Paramount Pictures has green-lit a new Star Trek Movie entitled "Excelsior" in which I will play the captain. This announcement is part of Paramount Studio's 100th-year anniversary campaign. The studio has acknowledged the fan enthusiasm for this concept ever since I appeared in command of the vessel in "The Undiscovered Country." J.J. Abrams will direct, with Robert Orci again writing the screenplay.
My co-star in Allegiance, Paulo Montalban, has been cast opposite me to play the mercurial "Agha," the grandson of Khan (played by Ricardo Montalban in the Second Star Trek Movie). Also featured are Gilbert Gottfried (playing a wily Ferengi First Officer) and Lisa Lampinelli (as a Bajoran security officer).
More to come on this breaking story soon. Thanks again for the years of support, and I'll see you on the Bridge of "Excelsior." -

Congratulations, wishing you and intended the best. You should post pic of the wedding later when it happens. I know my BF and I have been playing CoH for nearly 6 yrs now. It gives us sometime together when we are apart.
just my two cents... -
My condolences to you and your family. I know it's hard, I went through just what you are 9 yrs ago this month. Remember leaning on friend right now is not a bad thing, they will help you get through. I am most grateful to my BF and friends they were there for me. Even my Bf's family was there for me. It's sad but it is the one time you find out who your REAL friends are. One of the ways I dealt with it was to make a memorial book which I gave to my Mom that Christmas, it helped me deal with the pain. I later made a slide show of the same photos with music of the different time periods. It was hard but I'm glad I made it.
Also remember how much he loved you, you will always have that. -
Quote:And probably will port over, since Sony has stated they WANT you to cross play your PS3 games with the Vita. Now you will have to purchase both versions of the same game and have the connections with AT&T another $15 (250mb) to $30 (3g) a month. So if the other Superhero game is in the Sony Network currently you WILL be able to download it to your Vita BUT you will need a large memory card to download it on to. Like the 32g so spend another $100 for it and yes the memory cards are proprietary. And now your spending somewhere around $400 to play a game on a smart handheld, cause in reality it is nothing more than a combination of the PSP and a smartphone. Sounds like a Win for Sony and a loose for the gamer. Also one other thing...
Why in the world would Sony want to try and Port City when they have a (putting it mildly...) Supers MMO already that could be ported? And do you really want to deal w/PSN just to access it on the PVita?
No thank you.
just my opinion and two cents. -

Yes Green Arrow is getting a pilot.
Quote:Hadn't heard about this before but will be interesting to see the take on him.The CW has officially given the pilot order for the new "Green Arrow" television series, Deadline reports, though the emerald archer is losing his "green." The show will go with the title "Arrow."
http://www.superherohype.com/news/ar...-a-green-light
Quote:"Arrow" joins two other pilot orders, "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Carrie Diaries,"
Quote:Rumored last September, "Beauty and the Beast" will loosely adapt the television series that ran for three seasons beginning in 1987. It was created by Ron Koslow as a re-imagining of the fairy tale. Ron Perlman starred as Vincent, a beast-man who lived beneath the streets of New York City with an underground homeless community. There, he developed a psychic bond with with Catherine (Linda Hamilton), a District Attorney in the city. -
