Leslie Nielsen passed away ...

This is a very sad loss. Poor Nielsen. Atleast he died in the least traumatic way possible.

Farewell ol' comedic master! May you be making whatever is on the other side wet itself with laughter

Also sad to hear of this, but he passed away with family and friends close by.

I'm sure he'll be cracking them up, wherever he's gone.

Where's that?

It's a place where the deceased go, but that's not important right now. I just had to...

It's weird but just yesterday I had a random thought about how it sucks to hear when famous actors pass away then I saw this thread.

Mr. Nielsen played many wonderful roles in movies I've enjoyed over the years, both serious and comedic. I'll remember him as a good actor who gave me many moments of enjoyment and I suppose that's what any actor would want as a fitting tribute to their legacy.

Yeah, he's one of the few that can make me laugh. Time to put Airplane and the Naked Gun movies next to the Three Stooges DVD's in my library now.

I loved that stretch where he'd go on talk shows with a fart sound maker and would oh so subtly use it while the host was talking.

I loved the Naked Gun movies when I was a teenager.

Thank you, Leslie, and rest in peace.

The scene in the Naked Gun when he is searching an office, opens a drawer saying BINGO! and pulls out a bingo card made me laugh until my stomach hurt.

Sad news indeed.

It's a shame, very sad news.

It's also a shame his more recent movies were (through no fault of his own) so utterly rubbish, it is quite telling when a guy as funny as Leslie Nielsen was can't make your utter tripe of a movie any better.

Dammit, this is another talent lost to us

My favourite deadpan line of his is unprintable on these forums, but relates to his admiration of a certain water animal that had been stuffed.......I laughed so hard a nearly had an accident in the cinema at that, but to be fair, I was a lot younger then

It was one of those two...and yeah it was where he buried his victims in the sand.

Yea Bernie Mac did die from complications from pneumonia....however Mac also had sarcoidosis, which is an autoimmune disease and more than likely contributed to his death.....

Leslie is gone, and it hurts. Sure, not as much as jumping on a bike with the seat missing, but it still hurts. :'(

I <3 Leslie Nielsen. I need to drown my sorrow in a sea of Police Squad.

even if it's 4chan, in their television & film section /tv/ they have a stickied thread for Leslie Nielson and when you enter, the Police Squad theme plays.
