roughly 50 toons on various servers (many are abandoned) and only one toon has a 2nd build. my NW/Fort.

I haven't used a dual build on my Bane as to avoid the legs.

Of all my characters, only one uses a second build: my badger defender, who has a more solo-oriented build. Not a single other character has one.

My girlfriend has not used second builds at all on any of her characters.

I have about 35-40 characters. One uses a secondary build.

108 Characters. Only one uses a second build and that's just because I like knockback on my SS tank when playing solo, but its not so great for playing on a team.

And I certainly don't need a freespec for each build. I rarely use the one we get, and I think only one of my characters has ever used my vet freespecs.

2 accounts, 50+ alts, used second build on two (a widow and a bane) in order to see how the other half lived.

Might actually use the second build if it was more like WoW, in that it could be changed on the fly and had no cooldown.

32 characters and only 1 uses the second build.

He's a stone tank and while I see a use for Granite I dislike it enough that I left it out of the main build in favor of a Granite only second build for AV's/TF's and the like.

90-something characters over two accounts (most of them gathering dust), twenty-something of those are level 50, NONE use a second build.

All of them still have a full set of veteran respecs and a freespec.

I love leveling but I hate respeccing. A second build is just like a respec to me.

I only use the second build for leveling purpose (i make a first build for leveling, then switch to the second build at around lvl 30 once i start putting some IOs in there, and never look back). It's pretty much a free respec and nothing more.

I play on a single server so i have 16 characters, 12 of them being lvl 50s (and about 5 lvl 50s deleted to make room, none of them used 2nd build either).

I'd rather have stacking free respecs over the issues, than a 2nd one, really.

I've got around 50 characters. Actively playing, at the moment, about six.

I've used second builds three times- and in two cases,have never shifted back to the "original build". [Tanks, going for a solo/team build early in their career;once enough slots accumulate, the same build seems to do both well enough.] The third case is an Empath with Green Machine-style and conventional builds. Duoing with wife's empath? There goes Fitness, won't be needing THAT.

Edited to mention: Regardless of the seekrit hidden agenda of the OP, it is in fact an interesting question.

That reminded me I do have a second character with 2 builds. An empath defender that is heavy on heals for team play and has nothing that doesn't affect her for solo use.

I only play on Pinnacle & have almost all of the 36 slots filled. Five 50s plus one lonely Empath who has been stuck at 49 for over four years.

Never used the second build & have no plans to.

Hmmm...out of my 50's, that's 25 toons, of which none have made use of the 2nd build.

Counting a handful of the non-50's, which is about 5 more, none of them have the second build.

So, none make use of it.

[edit] My mistake, I did make use of the 2nd build on 1 of my 50's, I just never actually did anything with the 2nd build, but I did make it one as in, changed builds and put the slots in their place and then, put a handful of IOs I had on me in it, and then...never touched it again.

Hmm, about 45 chars. None use the second build.

32 characters currently in play of which 27 are 50's, predominantly completed builds. Two out of those utilize a second build, in both cases it's for farming PvP-IO's and reputation - i.e. to fit in a recharge-slotted self-rez.

It's a good feature, but I have no interest in piling up the in-game resources required to get more than one build per character. Apparently it's a feature aimed at those who market-PvP and sometimes take it into the arena or zones, I suppose.

I've only got 3 characters that use their second builds, and that was done pretty much as free respecs (I've since gutted their original builds for IO's).

Hmm. About 25 characters, exactly 1 uses her second build (a hami raiding build on my shield tank). Another used to use a second build back when I dabbled in PvP, but that got gutted of everything useful pretty quickly.

I'll only count my characters that have passed level 10 (40), since the others number too many to count and are too low-level to make use of an alternate build:

Of those, ONE uses the second build (and I was investigating options for one more).

So, that's 2 out of 40.

I have about 20 characters that I regularly, or at least occasionally, play, and at least that many that I rarely or never play.

Of those 40 odd characters, maybe three of them use dual builds, and those are "support" characters (defender/controller/corruptor) with a "solo" build and a "team" build.

It's a nice feature, it's just too dang expensive to me to worry about enhancing two different builds.
