Recipes since the market merge

I am not a marketeer by any means but is it my imagination or are people afraid to post recipes because we no longer have a history to draw from to figure out a fair price?

I know I am and it has been almost a week and there are almost no recipes being posted. Any thoughts from the pros?

I'm not posting items until I see some prices for last five, can't speak for anyone else on the topic.

I have a few things that were kicked out of the system and I'm waiting for a while before I put them back in.

Lots of people are taking a break from farming/marketeering/grinding TFs for merits to play lowbies in Praetoria. I notice that there is a very brisk market for level 15 and 20 commons for example. In a couple of weeks, the market will stabilize a bit more.

I can tell you on Freedom server the common IOs like damage, accuracy, ETC are still going for the same price..

I did a spin around the block on the market and nothing really seemed out of the ordinary.. The Salvage prices for some items are still high EG Rune salvage. I just didn't see anything that stuck out as a must buy item because the price was so low or just the opposite for that matter.

FYI, the market is cross server. The market you're seeing on Freedom is the same one I'd be seeing on Virute or Justice.

FYI, the market is not server specific, thankfully.

Fury is right - lots of people in Praetoria right now.

I'm posting everything for 6. This includes Oblit quads, LoTG +7.5%s, Numina's regen/recovery, everything. I figure I can afford to risk it, not that anything's sold for less than a decent rate. Try it!

If there's no history, then I post at a small markup above the salvage and crafting costs.

If there is a history, I see if it is worth my time crafting (several are still sellng less than the cost of the salvage to make them), and if not I list the recipe for 1 inf.

I have noticed the most expensive rare salvage is way down in price. Pangean soils are going for 1.5 to 2m instead of 3-4m

I'm feeling that the market merge is actually the smaller I18 factor on the markets. The introductions of HAMs/VAMs and their reward table will, I think, have a much bigger impact on the markets. My general feeling is that Pool Cs are going to drop, and purples are going to be worth more than ever.

A lot of non-premium pool C recipes are already way down. If it doesn't include text strings like "Numi," "Luck," "Oblit," or "Mira," a lot of Pool C's can be had crafted for 3-8 million. I was staring at crafted Posi procs yesterday that were selling for about what it would take to buy the salvage, and considering vendoring Scirocco procs because they just weren't worth the effort to craft and weren't worth the slots to put up raw.

I don't see purples changing a whole lot, though (other than in the general sense of, "If people don't have to pay as much for mid-range Pool C's, they'll have more to spend on purples"). By the time the new Praets get to the range where purples are slottable, they'll be generating purples. In the meantime, everyone who's been using 50s to grind tip missions to get HAM/VAMs has been (potentially) generating purples. If anything, I've been able to get a number of purples more cheaply than I could before the merge, so supply there seems fine.

I was thinking partially because of extra money to spend, and partially a lowered supply due to more people leveling alts instead of playing 50s for a while, thanks to Praetoria.

I knew the prices for what I was marketing, both from red side and blue side, along with supply and demand both sides, so I had some idea what to bid and post for. I started buying and selling immediately, and there was some very brief big influence to be made during the initial confusion. I think alignment merits will have an effect, but I think it will be slow to happen. Right now, I'm mostly ignoring what I expect the eventual value of things to be, and am focusing on what I think the current value should be. I'm apparently betting differently than some people, though, as I've started accumulating inventory.

A lot of stuff is still to be relisted too. I know i havent put everything back from every character.

Plus some stuff would of been put on by characters since deleted, so will never get put back.

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.

So sad to be ending ):

I've been getting some very good prices selling rare recipes that previously were worth very little now that the pricing history is gone.

Im listing most things I get, but mostly I have been playing at 50.

I'm listing pretty much everything, history or not for a single digit. Whichever I happen to hit.

Thank you, Champion.

This is exactly what I did with my niches. I knew there would be people too timid to post their so-called valuable items, so I went in and pretty much set the prices, high and low, to what I wanted them to be!

Now I am the master! Muhahaha...

I set up a bunch of low ball fishing bids.

If your intent is to confound flippers and help out the little guy, this tactic will have the opposite effect if everyone does it. Flippers systematically set up a spectrum of lowball bids across their niches, hoping to get a bargain. If they get something cheap they will hold it, repost it immediately nearer its true value, or craft it and post the IO at a drastic markup.

Yes, a lot of the time you'll still get megabucks for those recipes you list at 6. But if everyone is posting at 6 many will sell for 11,111, and a minute later they'll be up for sale again at 100,000,000.

If you post things nearer their true value -- and above the flipper's gimme bids -- your items will find homes with deserving little guys and you'll get a decent return. The trick is to dedicate your slots wisely -- don't bother to post things that already have 10-20 already listed with a history of selling for less than 10,000.

Flippers will still be able to do their thing, but their margins will be slimmer. If margins become slim enough the flippers may just move along to more lucrative things.

I'm not so concerned about crafters. They're usually willing to pay a decent price for the recipe and then turn it around for a big profit crafted. They're providing the legitimate service of convenience. If they can find buyers for their overpriced wares, more power to them.

Yeah, I just got a freebird +stealth for 100k. I have a bunch of bids out on those still, I have a few characters who want one.

Level 50 LotG +rech recipes were right around 110 mil when I looked last night, and level 40 Miracle +recov recipes were sitting at about 85. Both of those are lower than I remember them being before the merger, so that's a win-win I guess.

One of those --can't remember which-- was going for 190-200M just before the weekend.

The flip side of this is, I sold a Celerity Stealth for 120 M.

I listed a LOT of stuff high, like 70M, and almost none of it sold. On the other hand, it's not like I'm going to cry about losing the 5% listing fee. On the third hand? More than 5% of it did.

(Don't look at the third hand, you're not old enough!)
