Agreed. The part that really confuses me: how does the game know which costume pieces we have access to if the online store is down? Obviously the game tracks the availability of things like the booster pack costume sets differently than it tracks character slots. I guess the big question is why should it? Change it to using a similar system, tie the slots to the account not the store.

well i could have a place holder on one server, start the actual character on another, then when the issue is fixed, delete the place holder then transfer your toon! done!

And there is another issue: Sometimes (atm) when deleting a toon, it will free up the name like normal. Go into the creator and you won't be able to get the name. Go back to that server list and the name will be on the left, but no toon will be displayed on the right. Have deleted and made several toons today without difficulty...until now. Hope its fixed by the time I get home tonight.

It's even weirder when you think about deleting a character. I deleted a character and instantly had that slot disappear, rather than being able to make another one. Poof! Weird, and the implementation makes no sense.

You guys are really over complicating this.


This issue is a problem so it's obviously not a slap in or on the back, as that is socially accepted as a good thing. We did not see it coming, so it cannot be a stab, or slap, in the face due to our eyes being placed upon our face, which is the organ we use to see.

Through the process of elimination, we can safely proclaim that this is, in fact, a stab in the back.

Quit your moaning, everyone. Every game has problems when a major update/expansion is issued. It's a glitch that will be corrected! Patience, patience, and more patience.... there will be plenty of time to play the new content.

Do you want a tissue? You have some **** on your nose.

Fact is, this is unacceptable. Period. This is an alt-driven game, and large numbers of people have those extra slots. GR even comes with free slots! I have 11 50s and multiple 40s and quite a few lower all on Virtue. I have almost all three pages filled, so I had to roll on Guardian..

But I want to level pact, so I can't level above 5 because when I transfer the pact will break.

This is junk.

Okay, small consolation, but the slots are NOT lost. They will come back up when the store comes up.

Do they need to fix (or, more appropriately BREAK) the link between the store and the redeemed slots (either purchased from the store or from vet awards)? Absolutely. But please don't make it out to be worse than it is:

Slots redeemed WILL become available one the store is back up. Let us give them time to fix it. THEN we can urge them to prevent it from happening again.

Is this a nuisance? Yes. Was it an avoidable issue that tarnished an otherwise relatively smooth release? Yes. Am I more annoyed at Paragon for breaking my surround sound? Yes. Will I get over it? Also yes.

The issue isn't that the slots are never coming back or anything ridiculous like that, it's that we're being forced, if we want to make new characters, to make them on another server, isolating us from our SGs and friends in many cases.

It's.. kind of ridiculous on launch day!

Someone needs to whack these netops guys in the nuts a few times for their monumental failure!

You have to admit... A glitch that prevents people from experiencing 90% of the content in this release is a pretty epic fail. Fortunately I was on promptly at 12 last night and was able to make a toon right before the glitch occured. Still, it was just a concept character and I'm pretty irked that I won't be able to start it over until this gets cleared.

Well, just bought my online GR, to add to the 5 slots I paid $20 for yesterday...

aaand nothing!

But the money's already gone from my account.

Isn't it funny how "issues" with the online store never stop NCSoft from taking my money. Only from delivering the service I paid for.

Taking money and giving nothing of value in return. There's a word for that.

I wouldn't imagine it will last the rest of the day. You may only need to do this for a few more hours for all we know... I'm sure by tomorrow it will be fixed so there won't be that much time away from your friends... It they're you're true friends, they will understand.

OMG this blows! I wish I had known this BEFORE I deleted a toon to make a new one!! So glad I prepurchased GR so I could play right off the bat.
