Question: What powers do you want Alternate animations for?
Two handed attack animations on War Mace, Broadsword and War Axe! Either dodgy it up a bit or just have it unselectable when you have shields.

I haven't read the whole thing so if this has already ben suggested or not but can we get the MM pet enforcers aoe attack not sure what its called where they throw a clip in the air and shoot it and it explodes as a choice for dual pistols bullet rain attack. That is the one animation I really hate. Not sure how well the numbers for the two attack line up but I'm sure they can be tweaked to work.

I HATE HATE HATE the demons growl, howl whatever it is. One time every 5minutes is fine but seriously the howl is like every 5 seconds.
Power Thrust instead of the stright arm thrust how about throwing a shoulder? A head down, simi-sideways stance and a quick burst, 1/2 step or full step animation driving your shoulder towards the target. This could also be used for other punch/kick attacks to further "Mix it up" and make a more unique style of melee combat.
Energy Melee: Bonesmasher and Energy punch are kind of boring. You could just replace those with the new superstrength animations, but energied up. The assassin's strike for MA and EM is kind of silly, too.
The total focus animation; it's used in so many powers, yet is so, so, so ridiculous looking.
I'm echoing the idea to include a crystal and a lava customized appearance for granite. Granite's appearance is the reason I never wanted to make a stone tank, but if it was crystal or lava I could definitely see myself playing it, having seen how cool the stone melee crystal effects look.
And then, most importantly, the travel pools. Add some particle effect options to fly (energy flight-esque), some new particle effects and alternate animation for teleport (like maelstrom's!) maybe some special superspeed animations, and a no FX option for all of the travel powers. With some alternate animations, a particle effect-less teleport could be pretty cool looking.
Active (Freedom): Setna (Ice/Psi Dom), Arram (WP/KM Tank), Tesmiel (Elec/SS Tank), Astredax (Robot/Dark Mastermind), Operative Vidali (melee fortunata)
Retired (Virtue): Gaav (Inv/EM Tank), Baqra (Fire/SS Tank)
Probably been said numerous times by now....
Teleport: no more Y-shaped arms over head , maybe the smoke teleport that Belladonna has ? Or even the techy-sort that Maelstrom uses when he ports out of missions ?
Granite Armor: Yes I know its sort of against game-lore , but having it colorable or even have an alternate version of it like the Quarts or even like the Igneus enemy group. You still transform into a rock, and it makes it so you can have a "Lava" Granite armor , and a "Crystal" Granite armor.
I would like a throw grenade animation for dark and rad's toggle debuffs.
Dark Melee (needs me some kicky Dark Melee)
Thunderstrike/Total Focus, and other animations like them: a non-jump-in-the-air animation Archery: Crossbows (pie-in-the-sky, I know) For Blast sets: animations that have the blast coming from the chest area For Psychic sets: alternative animations where the hands are used to focus them, instead of the head (I know this makes little sense, but all of the animations around the head just turn me off of these sets a lot of the time) |
I want to see minimal FX options and alternate animations for Epics powersets. Specially widows.
Epics need to get some love, and power customization even if that comes in form of just alternate animations to dont break the lore.
Another vote for an alternate to Ripper/Eviscerate. Please. Soon. Hurry.
Just to mix up the elemental swords arguement;
Can we get different sword for fire and ice? Because, really, both the scimitar and the greater fire sword and greater ice sword looks...well...a little pants on head retarded frankly. The GIS is freaking massive, but totally disproportionate. And the giant diamond on the end of the GFS? Really?
Clone some shapes from the actual sword sets and make em firey...bingo. Instant win.

Elemental alternatives in the movement powers (or even the Fitness Pool).
Like sliding around on a piece of ice (with skateboard like random 'tricking' when you jump), flight with a fire trail or aura, super leaps that deploy shadowy wings, etc.
Maybe certain powersets could include an alternate movement animation for certain powers, like Super Strength having an option for a booming, camera-shaking landing, or Ninjitsu giiving an option for a blurry, super-speedy looking teleport.

for Fiery Melee why not replace Burning Sword with a Axe or a Burning Hammer Animation.

I don't know if this has been suggested already, but an alternative graphic for the shield buff powers would be great.
Cold Domination I'm looking at you: maybe as an alternative to the "I can't see a thing" ice shields we can get a less obtrusive "cold aura"?
Though alternative graphics for all the shield buffing sets would also be good.

Cold Domination Shields and Ice Armour shields definitely need sleeker animations for people who don't want to look, or make their teammates look, like ice blocks.
I wish all the buffs and toogles had a minimal FX option, like Willpower have.
Some of us dont want our natural origin characters having lights and effetcs around them.
The chest beating animation needs an alternative too.
Question: What powers do you want Alternate animations for?
Every single Dual Pistol attack that involves spinning, leaping, shooting a weapon near your face, over your shouler, behind your back and every other way way WAY over the top silly and dangerous attack. etc.
More Malta Gunslingerish, more Weaver stance kinda thing, please.

Would LOVE to have an alternate to the Incandescent Strike/Thunderstrike/Seismic smash/Total Focus animation where your toon jumps in the air in slow motion and brings both fists down.
Also would love an alternate to the Whirling hands and whirling axe that actually looks like you're dong more than jumping up and attacking the ground in a vicious circular fury. Don't mind it so much for the sword sets, given that the swords are - you know - long enough to reach the enemy when the attack animates.
EDIT - and +1 more vote for the fist animation for solar flare

I would also like to see the claws spinning strike changed to something more along the lines of the DB spin attack.
Maybe add a new animation for eviscerate. Instead of the leaping spin have it more along the lines of a double stab to the middle then ripping the arms out to the sides.
I guess i would love a choice of animations.

My biggies, would be a no sword/sword choice alternative. Oh a nice something for fire sword circle or ice sword would be great.
I agree, some chest eminations would be great too. I guess you could slap your thighs for something like hand clap.
Fist slamming the ground would rock for a few things.
And maybe an alternative to the squat, thrust of assasin strike would be good, some wind up big whopper of an attack. The animation just seems to be lack luster.
I know, make "animation alternative" like power set proliferation, add new animations to a couple sets every issue.
