Couple of PVP Changes with i17

Here are the PVP "changes" for i17:

-It is no longer possible to use Teleport Foe on enemies while they are inside Hospital recovery rooms.

-Dual Pistols (All)/Bullet Rain: Fixed a bug that would cause this power's secondary damage effect to be slightly higher than normal in PvP.

-Dual Pistols (All)/Empty Clips: Fixed a bug that would cause this power's secondary damage effect to be slightly higher than normal in PvP.

-Dual Pistols(All)/Swap Ammo: Fixed a bug that would cause the ammo powers granted to the player by Swap Ammo to not apply if the player was in an environment where temporary powers are disabled.

-You now respawn with full health and endurance when you spawn in a hospital in Bloody Bay, Siren's Call, Warburg, and Recluse's Victory.

The TP Foe one is good news (I guess?) but it's also an indirect semi-nerf to PVP IO farming if you can no longer TP a hero into the vill base in WB. I haven't tested it yet becuase I'm at work. It's not a big nerf but the vill hospital did give IO farmers some protection from griefing at least.

The last one about respawning at full health. Wow! They actually fixed something they broke. Maybe they'll reverse us back to i12 soon...Ow! A pig just flew out of my behind so yeah i12 is on the way back. Finally.

Now we start spamming bug reports that the Protective Phase power causes travel suppression!

Not really pvp related but they screwed up villain heavies in rv. They start at 1 end and have .10 recovery. Hero heavies are untouched.

Also there was a lulzathon were people kept saying they nerfed sharks, while they were getting farmed by said sharks. Good times.

Duel me.
I will work on my sig pic more when I have time.

Jesus they really are 100% incapable of doing anything without adding 5 new bugs in the process, huh?

I object to the use of the word "griefing" to describe killing somebody in a PvP zone.

Maybe they're intentionally making bugs so they can fix them and ignore the actual ones >.>

Oops. It's not that they were untouched; hero heavies suffered from the exact same problem during closed beta. I reported it and it got fixed. I guess nobody was playing villains in CB to check their version.

I agree that anyone in a PvP zone is fair game to be attacked. If you don't want to open yourself up for attack, then stay out. Don't get angry when someone ganks you.

But attacking someone who isn't fighting back is pleasure being had at the expense of another and if that isn't the clearest definition of "griefing" I don't know what is.

Kill afk-ers if that's what you want to do, but let's not pretend that is what you are "supposed" to do. Killing people who are afk is called "farming."

Never argue with stupid people. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I actually did raise this issue early on in CB. Ignoring players is what they do best.

I'm not sure what you are getting at, Optical-Illusion.

I think people who attack afkers confuse what they "can" do with what they "should" or are "supposed" to do.

The devs never said that you must mindlessly attack everything in a PvP zone. There are plenty of times when you prep for battle and lay out boundaries and set parameters. If two PvPers preparing for battle were discussing terms and one suddenly jumped the other guy when he said he had to get a drink for a second before the fight, that wouldn't be what the player "should" do. Sure, they "can" do it, but for social reasons, they don't. Usually. And you surely wouldn't say that they guy who beat up his opponent while he was afk for a second pre-fight was "PvPing". That's griefing, in my book.

For that same reason, I don't attack afkers. If someone wants to fight me, I'm game to go at it. Or not. But, on the other hand, if I happen to be afk, I don't get angry at the guy that attacks me. The zone is set up for PvP and if I go there I'm opening myself up to all sorts of things like that.

I see PvP as Player versus Player, Not Player versus Non-Player. Attacking someone who isn't fighting back is, as I said before, "farming."

You're the one that seems confused. There's absolutely nothing that you "should" or "are supposed" to do, when playing a video game you pay money to play. You can do whatever the hell you feel like doing, as long as you're not breaking any rules.

Optical_Illusion, please feel free to play however you want. And if I happen to be afk when you attack me, I promise not to be upset with you. But, I surely don't have to like you for it.

Fair enough. I'm not confused and I'm not complaining about how you or anyone else plays. Play however you want. If you have fun doing it, by all means, do it. I don't suggest you stop. Attack all the afkers you want. I'm fine with it.
