    Should somebody call 9-1-1?
  3. I have seen and fought against a certain arch/MM blaster in the arena and I can attest they can be effective with a good player and build.
  4. Imp got 1st.

    Captain Mezz on Renegade Reactor took 2nd.

    Majick's Easy Button got 3rd.
  5. Another Double XP Weekend does not seem to be planned for anytime soon. I'm not saying we deserve it or are owed one, just noting that it's been a while now, longer than usual since the last one in March of this year. I'm just beginning to wonder if we will see one again, and how long we might have to wait for it.

    At this point, if there is another one, it looks like it will probably not occur until around February or March of next year, which would be the longest spell we've gone without one, longer than the almost 8-month span between them in June 2007 and February 2008.

    Is there still a place for Double XP Weekends in this game? Have we gotten to the point where such an event doesn't really serve the same purpose that it used to?
  6. You say if you stop doing it for a week prices rise, but do you mean crafted IO prices rise? What happens to the recipe prices? I ask, because in your first post you mention this activity causes recipe prices to rise and crafted IO prices to fall. You conclude that higher recipe prices + lower crafted prices = common good, but I think an argument could be made that this is not the case. What percentage of the population would prefer to buy a recipe and craft it themselves over buying a crafted IO? I prefer buying recipes, so this activity is not to my benefit. That being said, I've done this a lot in the past as well, I'm just playing devil's advocate here. I just think assuming that higher recipe prices + lower crafted prices = common good bears further examination.
  7. Dang it now Mezz and Ra are here too
  8. So do I get all the prizes for being the only one who showed up?
  9. Don't forget base empowerment buffs.
  10. There is still interest, however, I haven't spoken to my team about this in a long time, so I'm not sure if the others are still on board. I think a couple of weeks advance notice would be necessary to reorganize, make sure everybody is still interested in using the same characters they had planned on before, find new teammates if necessary, etc. I have a feeling we may have to find a replacement, which could change the decisions made as to what characters we planned on using, bringing in a different AT possibly. Also, the launch of i19 and the Fitness pool going inherent should be taken account when deciding how soon to do this. A lot of people are kind of in a holding pattern with their builds right now, reworking them, and it will take a little bit of time after i19 to get the respecs done. So, generally speaking, yes, the interest in Justice PvP is still there, but plans made previously as to who's playing what may need to be reexamined, and new characters may need to be respec'd and IO'd.
  11. I'll just add my vote for non-sword animations for the ice and fire sword attacks.

  13. Agreed. While my team is essentially ready, we are still considering other character combinations. We are simultaneously ready and also in no hurry whatsoever.
  14. So I could bid on somebody and make them PvP me in the arena for four hours straight? Hmmm.....

    Hey Pum

    I'm dating myself here, but, wow, that takes me back to high school.
  16. Got a 3rd for my team so I've got a full team assembled. Count us in.

    Team [to be announced] is:

    @Dr. Dositheus
    @Flamecore
    @Captain Mezz
  17. I have a 2nd, so I guess we're looking for a 3rd. Let me know if you want in TT or anybody else. Still negotiating who will play what.
  18. Same here...still looking for a team, have lots of 50s.

    @Dr. Dositheus
  19. I failed at recruiting so I also need a team. I have over a dozen 50s on Justice, and a billion to spend on outfitting one of them with a PvP 2nd build. I'm leaning toward using my psi/em blaster right now, but could be talked into using something else. If anybody needs a teammate, the best way to contact me probably is to send me an email or global tell in-game @Dr. Dositheus because I don't always sign in to the forums.

  21. Definitely interested. I just had this pointed out to me so I may need a team or I may be able to form one, I will ask a couple people and guage interest. 3 more weeks 'til my semester's over so latter half of May would give me a more open schedule and some time to fund a proper PvP build.
  22. Most of the people I know who do this use Comic Book Creator. Just google it and you'll find a download.cnet.com link. There is a 14-day free trial but after that I believe it is $20.
  23. Agreed, a dozen people at most super-PLing is not the root of our inflation problems. I fear, from the tone of Castle's post, that drastic measures to alleviate this issue may be in store for us. I would be for an inf to merits exchange rate, but i think 100k to 1 might be too cheap. 100 million would cap your merits, and 100 million is chump change.
