Increase PVP IO Drop rate
Personally I think they should add some type of award system to accompany the random drops so we have a alternate source of getting recipes. Something like the merit systems, but less sucky.
Agreed, the drop rate on the PvP IO's are so low it's practically a joke. Nobody farms (effectively) for them anyway, you have to be stacked to be able to afford even one set and indeed they go for billions at WW's. I personally have farmed for weeks just taking turns with a villain friend killing each other over and over with no luck. NCSoft needs to incorporate some kind of system like you mentioned, to put it bluntly "the merit system but less sucky" LOL
i have a couple gladiator's armor i'll sell you blue side. i also have a couple glad nets on the market as well. what i'm trying to say is, buy my IOs.
The Siren's Call bounty system is terribly outdated. They should allow a random roll for x amount of bounty with a chance of getting a PVP Recipe. Then implement this system into other PVP zones, namely WB and BB (In the event that they have some sort of population again).
Rare is understandable, but non-existent and billions of inf is just bad decision making.
PVP Drop rates should be kept as is. Ultra Rare loot is supposed to be ultra rare. If everyone had the shines then there would be nothing for the fabled "casual" gamer to aspire towards getting.
...and that would kinda kill the game completely.
I like that, even at the top end of gameplay, PVPIOs are still rare and hard to come by.
Duel me.
I will work on my sig pic more when I have time.
At the end of the day, i'm all for what the majority of the pvp community wants, but I don't think that is the case here. Either way, back to the daily grind tryna get this blasta ready for the league lol
If you look at last 5 sold & the bidding/selling numbers...there are few PVPIOs that don't have one or two for sale at least. (I'd estimate the glad armor proc, glad jav proc, and panacea proc.) They're all over the market at the moment and nearly all of them are readily available.
This is all relative to wealth though. To your average gamer 2 billion is some sort of achievement. To mid level marketeers it means they're good at what they do. To the top marketeers its nothing more than a weeks earnings.
In short; your tastes don't match your earnings. You're like the kid who wants an expensive sportscar but doesn't have the house/clothing/lifestyle to match it.

It won't change because the market is an influence sink. The higher the prices, the more influence gets taken out of circulation through auction fees, which is what the devs want to happen.
I have a 2 x lvl 50 fire kinioed out and capable of making this 2bill in a week but farming is disgustingly boring. As I said though, it is what it is. I just don't think the one or two people disagreeing here represent the majority of the PVP community.

Colour me confused.

I can accept that. But it plays out both ways especially since we can't really gather up the entire community and say "Hey, so what do YOU think about this?".

If drop rates are so bad, then people will leave the game.
let's wait and see if anyone does.

Someone heard my prayers
There aren't enough PVP IOs on the market at all. So many zeros it's not even funny. The incredible prices are another issue. I've seen PVP IOs sell for up to 4 bill here on the boards. Maybe just remove the 5 minute timer? This seriously needs some looking into. Most PVPers aren't here to farm or grind but to pvp.
