Also, I hope Kinetics has a power called Whirl Till They Hurl where you use kinetics to make an enemy spin around and around while start the puke emote. While spinning. I eventually dropped Cobra Strike from my Martial Artist, but I'd *never* drop WttH!

I know what you're thinking. 'cursedsorcerer's gonna be pissed when he finds out that Kinetic Melee was chosen over Metal Melee/Metal Armor!'

Well, you're wrong!

Yet again! YET AGAIN! Paragon Studios has YET AGAIN failed to disappoint us!

I know now why people play CO! CO is disappointing! CoH is not! Apparently, MMO players enjoy disappointment! This is also why WoW is popular! It is also disappointing!

well...looking at it...it's nothing like Sebastian Shaw or Strong Guy....it looks more like Ken and Ryu....probably change the name to Chi Melee.

Amusingly, I'm already hearing complaints in-game that "This will turn into City of Dragonball Z." This, in turn, tempts me to make the magical cavalryman summoned by the Dragoon Balls (see your radio/paper mission clues) as a character with this powerset.
You know what? So what? Maybe there will be a spike in Saiyan and/or Namek characters for a while, but after what I predict to be a very short while, the "ooh shiny!" will wear off. The majority of those characters will stop being played, some will be deleted, and while surely some will remain, the usual distribution of creativity will return. The same will happen with "City of Pistols and Demon Summoners," I predict.

Yeah - now that DP has been out for a bit, trenchcoat levels have returned to normal

My obsession with ninja hasn't waned at all, but then I was doing that WAY before the Martial Arts Booster came out.

I'm hoping one of powers is called Fulcrum Punch.

I'm already planning my Kinetic Melee user to be a Captain Falcon homage called either Fulcrum Paunch! or Captain Fulcrum.

Looking forwards to Kinetic Melee. Please, please, someone tell me if Scrappers are going to get Energy Aura as a secondary for this. Why? Because my psychic tai chi practitioner character -needs- this, to be a badass bookworm.

And what would an energy aura have to do with books?

Ok, having just watched the Kinetic Melee animations again, A friend and I would like to know if we can get /tosspizza emote that makes use of one or more of them...

Dear NCsoft, if you go through with this shutdown you've guaranteed you'll not see another dime from me on any project you put out, ever.

I'm not one to trash a set just because it's not what I specifically wanted, but I'd be hard-pressed to hid my disappointment too. Until they say specifically "Staff Melee" I'm taking the pessimistic route. (Ideally of course everyone will win and there will be both.)
Other than the first poster above, where was anything mentioned about polearms/staves?

At PAX East - it was something they said was on their whiteboard/to-do list.

Anyone else see that, especially since they do base the mystical arts in that on real world martial arts (and air bending is based on Tai Chi IRC).
And now all the Aang clones can keep the Naruto ninjas company. *shrug*

Jury's still out, but zounds, those animation times are long. Maybe they're going back to the "slower and stronger" attack concept?

Tales of Judgment. Also here, instead of that other place.

good luck D.B.B.

A psychic barrier field...that is completely vulnerable to psionics >_>

I'll be making a WP/KM Tanker as that seems closer to my Kinetic Martial Artist than the previous Inv/SS but he needs long hair that reaches down his back. Bah, need animated hair now

Have you tried Gravity? That's the most Magnetism like power that I can think of, barring Black Hole.

(I'll admit it - I was underwhelmed. The PAX East audience reaction was puzzling as well - not at all like their first exposure to Dual Pistols at HeroCon, which was met by much oooohing and ahhhing and thunderous applause & cheers. These guys just kinda sat there when it wrapped, I think we were all left with a big mouthful of Meh).

Every time, and I do mean every time a new powerset or costume piece or buff or nerf or...basically, when something changes in the game, someone will inevitably take it as a sign. If it has a noun form, someone has posted bemoaning it as the x in "City of x". Even when it wasn't an overreaction, when there really were a few examples of x, the novelty faded within a month at most, and people went back to the same thing they always did.

SS and SG weren't kinetic melee...they were regular melee, and kinetic absorbing.

HeroCon was all COH players. PAX was not. And Dual Pistols was something the playerbase had been clamouring for since who knows how long ago.

I still think Kinetics Melee looks sweet.
