Oh ya, when and where will the preorders be available? Just checked Amazon and they didn't have anything listed yet.
OK, I'm in such a geeky haze right now it's not funny. I have to head off to my Trig exam* in a few minutes and I'm totally not thinking about that.
(* Shadow Ravenwolf is not mathematically inclined. He tries really hard though. Not even Arcanaville could demystify it for him, so we humor him as he heads off to academic d00m today.)
I'd also like a clarification on Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning.
Are users locked out from these if they do not purchase Going Rogue, will they be available to everyone on Going Rogue launch, do you need to purchase the powersets...
Questions about the game, either side? /t @Neuronia or @Neuronium, with your queries!
168760: A Death in the Gish. 3 missions, 1-14. Easy to solo.
Infinity Villains
Champion, Pinnacle, Virtue Heroes

Going Rogue in any shape or form = Two new powersets
No GR, no powers
Pre-order = Unlocked when you get it. (Unsure if that means test or live...I'm..god help me, tempted to say Live.
Answer is definitely 'you need to purcahse' though. Afaik, and as its been made out.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

From how I read it, it's either $30 or $40, but not both. You pay $10 extra, you get $10 of extra things, just like a Booster Pack. Makes sense from their normal pricing standpoint. Also, $30 makes sense for the pricing of an expansion. Couldn't imagine paying $70 total for an expansion.

For the MA additons, what stuff in the non-MA missions is currently missing from the MA?
|
- Hmmm, contact redirection (where a mission sends you to a different contact)
- Outdoor missions (unlikely to happen)
- Escort to glowie objectives.
- In-mission contacts: like the new Cape mission where you engage in boxed dialog with a mission contact, personally I dislike this as only the leader gets to know what happened.
- Simultaneous glowy clicks (many hate them but may have a use if smartly implemented and done as optional objective)
- Doors
- Doors with keys

I'm also curious about the specificity of having access to the new powersets in March and April, and what happens come May. Are they talking about Beta testing for those sets in March and April? If not, why not just say, "...starting in March..."
Also, will Paragon Studios be at PAXEast???
(Sometimes, I wish there could be a Dev thumbs up button for quality posts, because you pretty much nailed it.) -- Ghost Falcon
At least I'd love to be given timed dialog with invulnerability (ally until conversation done) entities to be able to say the story through the characters and not through UI elements like clues and briefings.
OK, I don't get it. Are we talking unlocking Kheldians at hero level 20 and Soldiers of Arachnos at villain level 20, or are we getting whole new epic archetypes?
Pretty sure it's Khelds and Soldiers of Arachnos
American Dawg, Starblaze, Neanderthal Joe, Shining Dawn, Tokamak Dragon, Stinger Incarnate, Burning Tyger, Dover Tornado, Big Roach, Dark Paladin, Archmage Wylde, Kings Row Hornet, Prancing Deer
Avogadro, Science Lord
Edgar Nightcraft, Doc Cicada, Chupa Macabre, Dr Forchtenstein, Blood Shrew
I got to say I love the cut scenes. They are much more team friendly than clues

Will the GR: Complete Collection version be available for pre-order at the same time as the standard version?
|
Alternatively, if I purchase the pre-order immediately, will the "Complete Collection" be available as a $10 Booster?
|
So for example, if there was a 5 mission arc where the contact got kidnapped after mission 3, you'd be able to select a second contact, like a desk and computer to take their place for the briefing for mission 4, and then once you'd rescued them, they'd be back as the contact for mission 5.

Hey all,
Just to clarify before speculation runs toooooo rampant, we're not doing a Nemesis-type system for Issue 17. War Witch |
Granted I thought it was strange at the time since up until today I thought I:17 would be after GR. But chalked it up to him planning just that far ahead.
It really makes more sense now, and I'm fairly convinced that it's a nemesis plot.
"Where does he get those wonderful toys?" - The Joker
Wow. Just wow. This is far, far more than I was expecting today. Now I'm excited!
However, not too seem cynical or something, but can we get some confirmation on this closed beta concerning Europe? For now I'm presuming that closed beta is taking place on both the american and european test servers, but I know that sometimes europe can take a while longer to catch up. As I said, I don't mean to sound cynical, but if we won't get closed beta for another week or so, I won't bother checking my emails.
Also, can't try to get on the test server myself tonight, so can't check myself.
I wasn't around when CoV launched, but they did a pre-order then that netted you access to an Arachnos helmet. They also had a CoV Collectors Edition DVD that got you an Arachnos chest/cape symbol. Does anyone remember if you could preorder the Collector's Edition back then, or if you wanted both the helmet and the symbol did you have to pay twice?
|
Not that I'm a huge fan of GameStop over other retailers, but they're generally very good for preorders if you have one locally. They also allow you to switch your preorder credit from one game to another at a later date... so if there is only a "standard" Going Rogue preorder, you can put $5 down on it and then just tell them you want to get the Complete Collection version instead when you go to pick it up.
