I'm skeptical--quite a few bugs still on test, although I'm not sure which are game bugs and which are simply overload.

Gotta admit,though--kinda underwhelmed by UM so far. Of course, the water is the bomb, and the shadows are nice,--oh yeah, and reflections are nice--OK, -nevermind.

I don't get it. They have never ever ever ever ever posted a "firm" release date, yet people are STILL asking for it? What part of "beating your head against a wall" don't people understand?

I don't get it. People in this thread are speculating on when the probable release date of issue 17 will be, based on the fact that we have been told it will be in April. Which, honestly, is more than we ever get.

I don't see anyone screaming about not having it yet or asking for a "firm" release date, just people excited and speculating (as people do). Calm down, take a breath, enjoy the sunshine....if you are someplace that is lucky enough to have it today.

If you ask me this issue is altogether underwhelming. The last few updates have be really nice but I guess going rogue got all the attention this time around.

On the main page it still lists the downtime to end at 9am eastern, which is 4 hours ago. The downtime in your link said 12pm eastern, about 1 hour ago.

The Live North American and European City of Heroes servers will be offline for the implementation of a build on Wednesday, April 7th, 2010.

Start Time: 4AM Pacific Time (7AM Eastern Time / 12PM British Summer Time / 13:00 Central European Summer Time)
Expected Duration: 2 hours
Expected Finish Time: 6AM Pacific Time (9 AM Eastern Time / 2PM BST /15:00 CEST)

I can't be bothered with looking at little things when I am feverishly waiting to play issue 17.

BTW now 1 1/2 hours past the other go time.

I pushed my whole schedule back to the afternoon, so I could have the morning free to play the new update. Now it looks like I'll be working while everyone else frolics. *sigh*

I'm not sure what exactly is overwhelming. A complete graphics overhaul, four new story arcs (which introduce a lot of new elements to the game, including branching dialog, contacts with entire different dialog tracks based on your character's sex, moving some major storylines forward, and of course, the doppleganger system, which introduces a whole new set of possibilities to the game), fixing the long needed Positron Taskforce, a new power set for GR preorders, new exploration badges, and a bunch of much needed QoL fixes, including fixing the market, allowing people to give items and influence to their other characters and offline friends, upping the mission count, and adding the ability to find that pesky last "missing objective."

This is one of the best all-around issues I've seen in the 3 years I've been on CoX

As someone that played out his toons all the way to 50 before ever getting a VEAT or HEAT (without PLing), I completely support the change to the requirements. The less incentive we give new players to PL to 50, the better. How many times do we (the collective community) complain about inexperienced level 50s running around the game? One of the reasons people would PL to 50 was just to unlock Epics. I'd rather they get there because they were having fun and learning how to play their alt.
