I have a friend who plays City, and I'd like to buy the boosters for him because he doesn't have any of them. (Ok, a bunch of us want to each buy him a booster so he gets them all.)
How is that possible?

I have an electric/storm troller, but I know I need to find a better way than "random" to slot her so she performs adequately. I usually team with folks who are so good at what they're doing that my suckiness doesn't matter to them, but I'm sick of being the weak link.

It's kind of funny, there's an alleged "wiccan" here, but the Malleus ( Salem Witch trials, Witch Hunts all together, etc ) actually had nothing remotely to do with Wicca itself. Cool point of fact, that's WHY "Witch Hunt" is used in the way it is. Because they literally weren't actual witches, they were just normal people.. Not Wiccans.. Just.. People..
So, yeah. Actually you really have nothing to be offended about if you're Wiccan even if this is a reference to the Malleficarum because it has nothing to do with you and it's certainly not any attempted jab at you. -
I'm glad they're doing the give-away for the folks who couldn't afford to buy the boosters. I've already got all of the stuff in that list that I want, so I'll just look forward to GR going live and applaud whoever wins the codes in the give-away. It's going to take diligence and speed, I imagine

I agree that Energy Morph reminds one of the Terminator teleport because of the crater and the crouch, but the energy sphere/flash remind me more of Firestar's transformation animation from the 1980's Spiderman show. (and she was a mutant, wasn't she?)

People are going to make naked characters, there's no point in complaining about it. If they're given the option to, it's going to happen. It's not like there are nude male heroes beating bad guys into submission with their "club" or anything. Heck, if this was a certain other game, scantily clad females with the chest slider on maximum would probably have a 10% chance to stun their male opponents ;-) -
Maybe they're just rebooting everything to fix Steel Canyon on Virtue?

I can understand the unwanting of player buffs. I dislike ice shield buffs 'cos I cant see my char underneath it and don't particularly need the extra defence buff anyway. So yeah, I'm all for a built-in option to auto-decline buffage. They're not always desirable, Mystic Fortune especially can be annoying.

While I respect someone's viewpoint that getting random buffs interferes with their choice to not get buffed, telling others that they can't pass out random buffs interferes with their choice to do so. You can't have it both ways, really. -

What I believe is that it will be done in waves, even if it means those of use who qualify for CB won't get in until a week before it goes to open beta.
At this point, I truly don't care if I get in at all anymore... I've started to have a lot of r/l issues coming up. so I haven't spent nearly the amount of time that I'd like to in the game...

I don't get all the angst I've seen in scanning this thread.
I'm a grown-up. With a job. I don't have a lot of expensive hobbies.
I'm choosing the option that lets me play with the new stuff sooner, and the item pack when it's available. Price differences are less than I spend per week on cat litter and cat food. -

Hmm, after reading all of the posts, I'm left wondering something. What do your SG members get out of being in your SG? How does it benefit them? What are you doing for them?
All I've seen is talk about getting your ranking up, and it seems like your SG members are just tools to get you there, instead of people you actually like/respect and enjoy playing with. -

Yeah, my email address hasn't changed in 10 years and I just stopped getting anything fro NCSoft a little over a year ago. -
It's an honest answer. If it would hypothetically take you 2 hours to get them all again, and it would hypothetically take 20 hours for the GM to get them back for you, then it makes sense for them to not do the work. I run into this kind of stuff all the time at my office, and whichever solution is the least amount of work is the one that's approved.
