Missing Beacons
It's an honest answer. If it would hypothetically take you 2 hours to get them all again, and it would hypothetically take 20 hours for the GM to get them back for you, then it makes sense for them to not do the work. I run into this kind of stuff all the time at my office, and whichever solution is the least amount of work is the one that's approved.

Thanks for posting this, I was thinking about doing the same.
This problem also happened to me. I had acquired almost all of the teleport beacons. Now I only have 4 left.
I opened an in game petition but didn't hear anything back so I opened a bug report. My issue was initially escalated to a senior CS rep, but eventually the discussion degraded down to the point of them explaining to me how to get a Teleport Beacon...
Essentially their overall response was that there wasn't any errors in their logs, so they would not be doing anything.
How is this going to be done in 2 hours? It's not like the exploration locations are marked on the map... And why does this become my problem? If it takes them 20 hours, then that's 20 hours less that I have to spend fixing their mistake. Seems fair to me.

After the base maint that was donw a week or two ago I redid our base and found that our RWZ beacon was no longer available. Thru a few back and forth replys from support I was basically told, your sg does not have the badges required for that beacon. Dispite the fact that we had already had it up and running since the RWZ came out.
So instead of fixing the issue we had to just go over the badges, again. It did not take long, but I would have expected them to fix what had broke not wash thiere hands of it.

[/ QUOTE ] I think their point is that it might only take you a few minutes to go back over the locations again (for RWZ, depending if there is a raid or not also).. whereas they aren't going to re-award anybody a badge or item blindly just because you said you had it before. We don't know how much research is involved or how long datamining takes to make sure you earned it before the issue came up that caused people to lose the badges.
If they did it for you, they'd have to do it with everybody.. and people would send in reports claiming to have earned it when they didn't, and support would be either be spending too much time datamining, or issuing badges to people who didn't really earn it.
In short.. I agree it's easier just to say "get them again". This isn't the first time credit towards those badges were lost. We had to run back over the locations last time too.

I think that's the issue. If you're SG doesn't have the badge, that's the only data easily available. They would have to go through logs to see if it was awarded in the past. What if it was received 6 months ago? Would logs even be available?
The exception here would be an SG that actually has the beacon installed. That PROVES they used to have the badge.

I actually already had two teleporters installed with 4 of the missing beacons attached. I suggested they look in my base and at least give me those badges.
You saw the reply.
P.S. I have already wasted 2 hours and only have 9 of the missing badges.

I did not want to post this in the public forums, but support has not given me any choice.
I had acquired ALL hero SG Beacons. I went to add new teleporters and discovered that I was missing all the beacons except for Pocket D and Rikti War Zone. I filed a bug report and heard nothing back for a few days.
I then sent a petition about the problem and after numerous email exchanges here is the response I received.

My ability to do that and help you in the way you want to be helped will take longer than it would for your supergroup to re-acquire the necessary badges for these Teleport Beacons. If it were otherwise, I would help you out. Sorry I can't be more helpful than this.

In short, a release caused me a problem and I am being told that I need to waste my time re-acquiring badges I already had.
Not my idea of good support.
