Waiting for Demon Summoning

Thats what everyone is REALLY waiting to see...

Anyone else here only care about demons and what they'll look like and what they'll be capable of?

Also for any mod/dev readers, any idea when we'll see the closed/open beta for this?

Im itching to see them. But more than just the Demons, I wanna see that sexy *** whip!

Honestly, on the list of Dual Pistols, Demon Summoning, and GR in general, Demon Summoning is at the bottom of my list.

Sorry to disagree with you, but DP applies to multiple ATs while DS only applies to one, and GR applies to the entire game. You know what they say about the needs of the many...

Just wait until April, then you can has your demon type things.

I second for Demons info its all about the Masterminds and there powers HAHA JK but i do like MMs more then any other archtype. So yea i want info!

Very eager to get into DS. But I wouldn't say it's the only thing I care about.

This is only a guess about the testing for Demon Summoning, but if they follow the same track that they did for Dual Pistols (which the devs said they really liked the focused testing). I would guess that beta testing for Demon Summoning will start either next week (unlikely) or the first week of March.

Considering that Going Rogue goes up for presale in early March ( http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=210328 ) at which time Dual Pistols will be available on the Live Servers. So if they schedule the same time frame for Demon Summoning testing (one month) and Demon Summoning is planned for release in April on the Live Servers then March will be the test month.

Just a humble guess from me and for some reason it sounds to me like I rambled on way way too much... I think I need more coffee >_<

Maybe they'll use Intimidate and Invoke Panic while screaming SWALLOW YOUR SOUL SWALLOW YOUR SOUL!

Or maybe the Boss is the Cyberdemon. The only way to beat it is to shoot at it until it dies.

For me Pistols has absolutely no draw at all. I refuse to refer to it as DP..... maybe I have a sick mind. I also hate the empty clips animation. Sorry devs whoever designed it its just not for me though many of the other animations are excellent. The flashy animations do come off a bit silly to me at times but they help justify the animation times and recharges. Only reason I even made it was I wasnt able to make a Demon Summoner heh or check out any going rogue stuff.

Demon Summoning intriques me. Ive wanted a new MM set for a very long time. The flaming whip, while interesting just sounds too much like a dominatrix thing. I have the odd quirk of only being able to play characters that match my gender. Male in case you didnt figure that out. Ill just have to wait and see what the animations look like though its not a big deal for me, alot of my mms do not bother with the attacks.

I do have a nagging fear that its going to be a very fire orientated set. I was hoping for something with a good mix of damage types Fire Cold Sonic, and yes I mean all of the above.

Im expecting fire melee pets for Tier 1, fire ranged with thermal ablites for tier 2 and the tier 3 pet Im expecting somewhat of a dominator type firey assault. I hope im wrong.

Regardless it should be something new and exciting and I will be rolling one.

Sadly, there are protip magazines and hint guides selling for $14.99 to $19.99 for games where you basically move left to right and hit the A button.

While we all wait for Demon Summoning power set, I just want to stir some topics about Demon Summoning to keep the excitement and interest... Although this is not an official information please settle down and reduce the flame wars.

I will start by quoting some passages from Desdemona's background information.

I'm thinking that there's going to be something unique and tasty to demons too. With the more recent powersets, they've liked to include some flair. Dual Blades have their combos, and Dual Pistols have their ammo types. I wouldn't be suprised if the Demons' unwilling servitude is shown mechanically. I mean, Desdemona had to tattoo a circle around her neck just to protect herself from the demons she commanded. Perhaps they will turn on us under certain circumstances. Perhaps we have to bind them. Perhaps they are more powerful than other pets, but we have to protect ourselves and our teammates with our unique personal power (Serum/Soul Extraction/Smoke Flash/Repair/Gang War).

Regardless of how they work, when it was announced I wasn't that fussed about demon summoning. But now that we're closer to testing both it and issue seventeen, I find myself getting excited at the idea of them both.
