Reps are slow today. There is already a thread on the forums.

But I like the video and setup of it. Can't wait for Part 2.

Good stuff, looking forward to more.
Also, I've decoded your 'lumberjacks' code and i've decided it to mean that the 'blur' is feature. Make it so!...Either that or you're making a 'Calm Bus' a GM.

I haven't had a chance to watch yet, but...

Demon Summoning - Masterminds
Kinetic Melee - Tanks, Scrappers, Brutes and Stalkers
Electric Control - Controllers, Dominators'
Dual Pistols - Defenders, Blasters, Corruptors

I believe that covers all the non Epic AT's.

Mind you, I'd love to see more than that, but hey, this is good too.

Well, like I said, there could be more... haven't watched it yet.

I'm hoping for more proliferations and such, myself.

It does look gorgeous and nice job with the video!

I have to admit, I'm curious if we'll be able to get any official word on the glow glove effects (possible combat auras or something? Just intrigued here, is all) and whether that effect on that jumping character (While Ghost Falcon is mentioning Power Customization) is an effect in the game or a post processing effect done in video editing.
Again, just curious

Power Pool customization is a long process, as it needs to include some brand new UI designs and figuring out, along with the power effect work, so that bit stands out to some of us, hehe.

Nice job on the video.

(Now, where's the next part??? )

So it appears that all buildings have the reflective characteristic like the AE building does today in CoX so thats cool. Do you think it would be possible to add some more costume customization or is that constrained by the graphic engine. In particular, I played CO for a little while, and the ability to have a shoulder mounted weapon or chest mounted (must admit, they really emulated off war machine/iron man well with these implements..smile) but it would add to the level of competitivness we can bring to the table, especially with DCUO on the way.

Also, with their structure, you can activate multiple weapons at the same time (e.g. shoulder cannon with laser gloves); didn't know if that was also a constraint.

Looking forward to GR and to population growth as a result!!

This game does not support costume pieces as weapons.

Pay close attention to what Champions Online has. It isn't as good as you think. The Power Armor set in Champions does have a shoulder-mounted gatling gun and wrist-mounted bolters. But neither of these weapons are customizable. You can only change the colour of the blasts, not the weapon mesh/skin itself.

Furthermore, the CO gatling gun and wrist bolters are horribly mounted on the skeleton. It's fine if you have an 'average' build character, but if you use large gauntlets or large shoulders, or even simply pull the sliders out a bit...the weapons clip so much they vanish entirely into the character's body. Exactly what happens when you use a jetpack in City of Heroes on a large build character.

The latter reason is why City of Heroes doesn't have much stuff like this. Attachment points on the skeleton are a problem.

Sorry to be nit-picky, but...

Melissa Bianco: "It's kind of like a back-and-forth between the players and the development studio. Players are like, 'I want capes,' we gave them capes."

As I recall, capes weren't an afterthought that were added because players demanded them... rather, they were always planned, but were cut from the development schedule for launch because the tech for good-looking capes was taking a long time. Rather than just slap some static or badly-animated capes into the game to make the launch schedule, the decision was made to launch without them, and add them into an expansion issue.

Not a big deal, I know - but seems a little misleading to include that as an example of how the development team listens to the playerbase. I DO believe that the dev team here communicates with and listens to the players more than most other MMO developers, but there are plenty of better examples to illustrate that point.

False statement is false.

Please don't try to give the illusion that you "actually listen" to the player base when in reality you don't. Need I mention the "new" and "better" pvp?

See the above post for another example.
