Do your toons know each other?

I was just wondering how many of you create toons who have some connection to each other.

For example, I have an archery/devices blaster and an archery/traps corruptor who I think of as brothers who chose different paths. I also have an ice blaster and an ice tanker (both mutants) with similar faces and costumes who I consider related. (i.e. the ice mutation runs in their family)

I'm not saying that I do this for all my characters, but I've noticed that 6 of my 15 are connected in some way. Anybody else do this?

Several of mine do, in one form or another.

The ones who are all in the same SG know each other as 'working together', while their counterparts in the villain group know them as 'their nemeses.'

Two of my characters are the same person, separated by 10 years and one becoming a Mender.

All of mine are connected . Good tread/question btw

Most (but not all) of mine are connected through my main character somehow.

All of my wererat-esque characters are brother/half-brothers.

I used to have a fictional 'Port Oakes Tech' institution where all of my teenage supervillains went to, but the only one who survived idle deletion isn't really a teen anymore.

A fair amount of mine do simply by being in the same SG or Coalition. For the most part they're just passing acquaintances, but some have closer relationships. For the most part I keep my villains and heroes separated by server, so I don't really have nemeses among my own characters. This may change with Going Rogue, however.

All but one of my characters on Champion knows about the others. Everyone I have in The Bouquet of Roses knows each other as well as the members of the Villain group Roses gone Wild.

Most all of mine are tied together via our SG/VG (ie. working relationships).

I have a core group of 4 that know each other in terms of being more "family".

That's a really original concept. I like it.

I have a few. Yellow Chaos (Scrapper) and Kaos Blak (Stalker) are brothers and were a team of assassins until Blak switched sides. Yellow is searching for his brother to find out why he became a villain, and possibly kill him.

Robotic Pirate Ghost (Corr) is a crew member on the Paradox, the mechanical ghost ship piloted by Captain Blakstar (future Blaster). Blakstar comes to Paragon City and the Rouge Isles to find Captain Mako and challenge him to a duel. RPG sneaks off the ship and heads for the Rouge Isles to beat Mako before Blakstar can in an attempt to earn the Captain's favor.

So far, I haven't done it with any of my characters--though I imagine my main hero (me) and my main villain (Corrupted Haruspex) will eventually come to blows.

I definitely need to start getting to work on AE arcs ...

Several of my really old characters are a loose extended family (loose by Paragon terms, which means that they're from two different dimensions and three different time periods), and all of my defective robot and cyborg characters were made by the same company. I mostly avoid having my characters get too close with one another. I'd much rather work each individual character into a shared mythology with the people they end up hanging out with than make somebody read a ten-page description of years of RP in order to understand a new character.

I've also known people who name-drop their own other characters constantly in RP, and it can get to be a little eyeroll worthy ("Well, Superduperbobman isn't here, but if he were, I'm sure he'd say...").

Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.

So I have to stop mentioning Baron Von Krass when I use other toons in the VG ? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . I will continue to do so , and no one can stop me , muhahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Yes, actually.

There's my main (A Brute/Scrapper)
My Main's Cousin (A Corruptor/Soon to be made Blaster)
A partially riktified psychic my main rescued (A Dom/Troller/Widow)
The experiment that my main's cousin had a hand in creating (A Stalker/Scrapper)
And one toon unrelated to everyone else who happens to be in the same SG. (Brute/WS when I get a hero to 50)

I hear that Superduperbobman has a real way with words.

What a cool concept! Well done!

As for me, several of my heroes have responded to a summons from my first hero, Melancton. Seems that the Circle of Thorns are another part of an organization that was suppressed after a war lasting a generation on Melancton's homeworld. The war has shifted fronts to Earth.

Another group are all aliens from the same system. They did not know each other before being pulled through a rift in space and time to Earth. I came up with an elaborate time conundrum for them in 2005, which was pretty neat until the Menders showed up and started introducing all manner of potential paradoxes in the time stream, not to mention making my cool plot-line suddenly seem derivative. *Heavy Sigh*

A third group are residents of Paragon City from Baumton. They have come to know each other as survivors of the May 23, 2002 massacre that devastated their neighborhoods and killed everyone else they knew.

As others have noted, any SG members will know each other that way, although unfortunately, they cannot act as a group together. Boy, if I could do a PUG with 8 of my own heroes, we could rock the house... but that is another topic, I suppose.

"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"

"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."

Some of my characters know each other.

Delicious Jailbait and Fanboy XIII go to the same High school on Talos Island, although they are a few grades apart.

Pinwheel XIII and Weapon Canuck are both members of the Canadian Govt's Northern Watch program and have trained together in the past.

Fanboy XIII has actually heard of all of my characters one way or another and is a big fan of them. He is also a big fan of all of your Virtue server hero characters as well.

Thanks. Sister Johanna Sinclair came into the game as a time traveller (her energy/energy blaster powers are actually 'temporal disruption'), and was wandering the timestreams trying to figure out how to get back to her own timeline. Then when Issue 11 came out, the idea of Jo becoming a Mender was too good to pass up, so I created her again, this time ten years into her own future as an energy/mental manipulation blaster, and gave her the name Mender Anomaly.

(They both show up in my Issue 11 trailer.)

But if you want to run with your own characters, create an MA arc where your allies are 'yourself' and just go with it.

Yeah. I kind of have all my heros in my own little SG. 2 SG's accually.. Kind of inherated my buddies guild when he left and i had alts in it. I keep it going... because i don't feel like doing all he work involved in removing my guys and all the loot upsizing my second base with all the teleporters and junk i use in his base... anyways, all my heros kind of make up my own little comic book world. They know each other in the same way the Flash knows Superman. They know each exisits by rarely interacts with each other. (seeing as how i have 2 accounts, some can "crossover with each other if i duel box, but i rearly do more then trade INF.)

Same for villians.

All of my characters know each other because they are all in a tournament competing against one another. Each server is a "team" of heroes or villains and I often imagine their conversations in my mind as I am playing them.

Core Combustion: "Wow... you really shouldn't have tried to take on that whole spawn by yourself... it's not like you're a tank."
Emcee Boombox: "Okay, Core... I get it."
Core Combustion: "You remember I'm the tank right? You're the defender... say it with me... Dee Fen Duuuur."
Emcee Boombox: "Go to hell, Core."

Everyone's progression in the game is measured against everyone else's. All recorded on spreadsheets and all RPed in my mind as to who loves who, who hates who... etc.

I've got married couples, dating couples, arch-nemesis, brothers and sisters, etc, etc, etc...

I've also (apparently) got waaaaaay too much free time on my hands.
