Quote:I've always loved that. Why can't I help thinking about Tae Kwan Leep and boot to the head?
"You must learn patience."
"Patience. Yeah, yeah, how long'll that take?" -
Quote:I've played a fair bit of Deadlands, and if it was more like that I would have zero problems with it. The way they're describing it though it's a damned collectible card game.Actually that's interesting. Reminds me of the original printings of Deadlands and it's sequel. You used playing cards though out the game. As well as poker chips. I never looked at the D20 version, but I could not fathom how they made those rules into a GURPS version.

Ignoring the 4th ed/3rd ed/etc debates, I was excited about Gamma World.
Then I read this article. Everything's done with cards? That you have to buy ******* booster packs for? What. The. ****. -
Looks interesting. I may have to check it out, if for no other reason than the name.

The Duck Hunt one was absolutely hilarious.

Wow, that sounds absolutely nothing like Still Alive. Very ethereal, indeed.

Quote:When there used to be separate enhancements for Ranged and Cone Range. There used to be separate types of enhancements for Endurance Drain and Endurance Recovery . . . before they were combined as Endurance Modification.
As others have said: No capes. Level cap at 40. Instant healing a toggle. No store markers on the maps.
And later on, the vidiotmap map packs that displayed where the paths were in Perez so you didn't have to deal with the maze. -
There was one person last night who sent me a tell proclaiming their amazement at my having so many badges on my level 8 praetorian. They said they were impressed by my 75 month badge.
I think that's the first time I've had anyone comment on my badges at all. -

I absolutely despise "awkward" humor. Completely hate it. That was one of the reasons I couldn't stand the second and third Spiderman movies. I was starting to get the twinges of dislike for SP when I was watching it from the awkward humor moments, but the way they worked the scenes made it really work and dispelled the awkwardness (for me).

I knew nothing about Scott Pilgrim (outside of a recent familiar in kingdom of loathing), so I didn't know what to really expect when I saw it last night. At first I was put off by it, but after a few minutes I got used to the way they did things in it, and everything started to work for me. Ultimately it was an enjoyable movie.
I was amused though that two people got up and left in the middle of the movie during the showing I was in. But I'm not particularly surprised, given that they were probably in their eighties. -
Quote:Same here. I get scams for Aion, WoW, and rarely for other general NCSoft stuff, and it's not even the email that I use for my MMO accounts. One? I've had several a day show up. At least 10 a week for a while. No WoW account.
I must admit that It's actually died down a fair amount recently, it used to be upwards of 10-15 per day, now it's just 3-4 per day. -
Quote:That's a very helpful link. Luckily my real name is common enough that nothing I found was actually something regarding me, except for one of the usernames I tried (and the two things listed there I'm essentially fine with).www.pipl.com was linked on the WoW boards. Scary stuff. It has my new cell phone number who very few people have, as well as my entire family, and tons of other scary info, all from just my first and last name. Satellite photos of me working in backyard last summer. I'm freaked.
EDIT: Lordy. I hadn't seen you can search by screen name too. Thankfully my screen name is a little more unique, and none of the stuff that did actually connect with me was interesting at least. -
Very interesting read. I'll guess 989,000,000.

Quote:I like this idea as well. The Player Help section would be good for it in my opinion, since it has the guides, the player questions, and several other of the useful information forums. I'd also be fine with a specific Trial Questions (or similar name) forum only.Maybe restrict trials to trials forums? Have a number of trusted community members mods those forums (and only those forums) to remove spam (and only spam).
Thus, new players can ask questions and get help, but the spam is contained, plus there'll be more mods to deal with it in those sections. -

As you say, that's one player on one account. In comparison, on my one account, I sell everything I get (usually on the market) unless I immediately need it for something. So my selling balances out your hoarding. And regardless, the devs look at large trends and the data as a whole as opposed to singular instances.
Honestly, the only reason I personally cared all that much for the prospect of SG base storage for recipes was so that I could give them to friends or alts easier (or have them given to me). With the new emailing system, that point is moot. -
Quote:I get this probably 80-90% of the time at home, but never at work. In both cases I'm using Firefox. At home I currently have AdBlockPlus (but not NoScript) but I was getting this issue before I started using AdBlockPlus. It's annoying, but I'm just going by the thread title and time of the last post and guessing.Don't mean to hijack the thread, but...
I'd rather that than what it does to me: Mark's EVERYTHING read when I log in...about 30% of the time. Nothing more fun than coming in on a Monday morning and seeing "No New Posts" since I left Friday night, despite seeing right there on the front page post dates of that day.
I'm assured by our crack web team that this is caused by the highly unusual browser set up I use -- Firefox with NoScript and AdBlockPlus. -
Yes, I agree completely. It very much had a vibe of a morality check with it. I liked it immensely, personally.

I'm in the same boat. I'm not sure that I've topped 100mil amongst all my characters combined. It actually made me decide to read some of the guides on the market as a result.
