So sad, such a waste. 
And yes, that is true heroism.
As a husband and father of two small girls I would like to think that I could be capable of such heroism. I hope that I shall never need to know.
Make a man a fire and keep him warm for the day, SET a man on fire and keep him warm for the rest of his life.

I had a friend how did almost the exact same thing, losing his own life but saving his sisters. A true hero indeed.

For those who don't know: The first four dudes in Cannon Fodder are named after the design staff. Richard Joseph, aka "Rj", died of cancer in 2007. It has only increased the tendency for the game's cult fanbase to do everything in their power to keep the design staff alive.
