Double exp?

So is there a way determine when the next double exp is? My workplace requires quite a bit of notice for vacation and I've missed two so far?

You take time off from your job to play video games?

I used to take a day off when a GTA or Ratchet & Clank came out. Only the major ones, not like, Liberty City Stories or anything.

Sorry, didn't mean that in a rude sense, just seems crazy to burn holiday time to play video games, that's all. I play on my days off, can't imagine taking time off work specifically to play a game. If that's your thing, more power to you. Sorry for getting people's knickers in a twist.

Considering they do them about every 3-4 months, and the last one was at the beginning of March, I'd expect one in late June, early July. Since that is approximately when GR is supposed to be out, chances are good that DXP will hit around then. Unfortunately, they can't tell us when until the time comes closer, in the event that plans change. Don't want the potential legal hassle of someone saying "you promised us X event on Y date and didn't deliver!"

Historically, double xp weekends have been granted twice a year, once in the winter/spring, and once in the fall/winter. They once made a 12 month calendar, with all of the big events listed, including the various holiday events and double xp weekends (which was fantastic).

As the last one was relatively recent (someone mentioned March, which sounds about right), we probably have a long way to wait. I wouldn't expect it before September/October

I actually kind of hope we won't get a 2xXP at the start of GR, just because I don't want to shoot past the new content and miss it. I wouldn't mind one before then, though - got a few potential incarnates I need to pump to 50.

I don't know any more than anyone else does about when the next Double XP weekend is going to be. I haven't taken off work just for a Double XP weekend, but the first day of the last one just happened to fall on my birthday, and I'd already taken off that Friday anyway before I even knew it was going to be a Double XP weekend to recover from whatever festivities would be taking place (those festivities never materialized, though. The cake was a lie ). My work schedule is pretty standard (weekdays 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), so I'm off on weekends anyway.

Where I work, we submit leave requests by quarter, so I know what it's like to have to ask for time off well in advance. We just had our chance to put in for time off during the July-September quarter, and I put in for a week in mid-July, for which approval is still pending. The main reason is because an old friend of mine is going to be in town that week and I want to be able to spend some time with her while she's here, but I'll probably be getting in some time in-game during that vacation, too.

Yes thanks for some of the replies My thing is I seem to recall we had an all year calender SOMEWHERE we downloaded last year or the year before, it was a standard graphic background from in game somewhere and a blocky calendar layout with NPC birthdays AND listings of Double EXP weekends o.o;

some of ya do not have such luck in employment and are required to work at our jobs. So I don't have the luxuary of doing so and don't get weekends off or however it works.

I really hope they wait until about 3 days after Going Rogue comes out, along with reactivating every account ever created. That way, all the bugs, lag, and server load will be maximized. I love fighting to play the game I pay for on 2xXP weekend when people that are getting a freebie for the weekend clog the game. Good times.
