<--48 I so completely relate to this thread. I haven't logged in for a couple weeks because when I do, I just.... hover in place. Numb.
I wish I had access to all of my toons so I could take some screenshots and collect some bios. Basically visit with each one of them and somehow acknowledge what I had created as I played.

Seriously, though, I saw a great DBZ rip-off toon (years ago). The guy yelled, toggled on a fire shield (he was a fire tank), changed costume to the spiky yellow hair and flew off. It was flawless.

Ok, question that ya'll may be able to answer. I know they said with GR villains could become heroes and heroes become villains. Do they mean ones made *after* GR is released can become heroes or villains, depending on which alignment you start or can existing villains/heroes switch sides? Basically, I'm tying to decide if I should worry about making a stalker now and play through now and experience the villainy side of things or... just wait to level up my stalker as I won't want to level the same stalker twice.

Guys I am wrapped up in some important stuff with my Fiancee for the next while. Trying to get on a bit here and there, but we have so much we have to do now that she is home. I haven't forgotten you, just so busy.

This thread makes me want to stab myself in the temple with a pen. We don't need a dedicated healer class. What stupid nonsense! Please go to the defender forum and read up on how that class actually works. Anyone who thinks we need a healer AT is completely out to lunch.
My main is a Emp def and I love playing her on teams where my heals are only really necessary when we push too hard and aggro too much. It's nice when I can focus on the buffs instead of the heals and get to throw around some damage too. -

Pinwheel, Weapon Canuck and Safeguard are now all in the SG. All three can invite.
I'm having a hellish time because I decided to add 2GB ram to my PC and then upgrade to Windows 7 because COH was crashing without warning. Now it is basically unplayable. I will be grabbing a new video card in the next couple days. -
I would love a science/tech booster that focused on the Rikti.

Booster Pack Power:
Rikti teleporter power that had perhaps 3 locations it went to (predetermined anchors like say, PI at the Portal Corp, Atlas Park, RWZ or something.) and complete with the sound effect. Long recharge like normal.
not sure what emotes.
For other Boosters. I really hope the Mutant pack has some new animal heads, lion, bear, bull, eagle... that sort of thing. -

Challenge yourselves to think about national symbols that represent Canada. Ive been trying for ages to get the look just right for an Aboriginal character Ive been working on. Mounties are distinctly Canadian and they dont wear a maple leaf.
Just suggesting.
There are a few other looks that would certainly be distinctly Canadian without the maple leaf. Mounties being an obvious one, definitely. -

Any archetypes are welcome. The only thing we ask is that the Hero be a Canadian. I think it would be pretty cool for a bunch of crazy Canadians to make a public appearance in AP sporting the Leaf. I'm also very curious to see how many ways people can create a unique look for a Canadian hero.
The Northern Watch category page at Virtueverse has links at the bottom to Pinwheel, Weapon Canuck and Safeguard. Looking forward to seeing all the rest who have piped up in this thread. -

Any reason you would need them for lvl 8? You'd out level them in a few hours, so it really doesn't seem to be worth the effort. -

That's a fairly specific accusation. Personally I'd rather the Devs spent time working on the game itself, rather than monitoring the forum continuously just in case they could post a little bit earlier to save you a little time reading, posting and getting your hopes up about totally unsubstantiated speculation.
It does not in anyway reduce my respect for Melissa and the work she has done and my expectations for great things to come, but I would expect that she will learn from this thread and likely be more careful and more specific in future GR posts. The community has been starved for GR information. She knows it as well as we do. -
I try to keep my characters in character as much as possible. I don't need anyone else to be RPing in the team to enjoy the quirks and humour of some of my characters. Anything said in local is definitely IC while I will bracket stuff in team if it clearly not something that would ever be said by my character. I've seen that sort of method done consistently by others. Never thought they were being attention seekers or anything, just playing by a set of rules they had established for themselves and their toons.
The comment about typing ((OOC)) style not being something that can be a a formed habit is patently false. I have a few friends who accidentally do that when they are in other chat mediums and have to take a mental step back to get OUT of the habit of doing it if they have been playing for long periods of time. I've done it myself on Skype to the amusement of my son. -

As a new player I was a little in awe of these superheroes who flew over me in a fight and blessed me with more energy regen or made me hit harder for a minute or two. I always said when I got there I'd pay it forward. Any time I am in Atlas I make a point of doing a swing around and finding someone in over their head and giving them a nice boost. I usually see a TY in broadcast not long after.
Your mileage may vary, but I think you are in the minority. -
You know. I am excited by this screenshot because it LOOKS SO GOOD. I'm excited that that might also represent unlockable costume pieces. I am one of those players who has every costume slot unlocked that I can as soon as I can. It is one of my absolute favourite features of the game.
There are a lot of things I really enjoy about this game but one of the things that keeps me interested over and above kicking butt as a superhero, is how good I can look with a distinct costume and customized powers when doing it.
I already know I will need to upgrade to take advantage of Ultra Mode and if I wasn't getting married it would be a no-brainer for me.
Until GR drops, I'd like the devs to institute Wardrobe Wednesday and give us a weekly shot of something IN GAME that we can look forward to wearing, unlocking, fighting against. -
I've actually taken the first step and had my character Pinwheel XIII make the SG Northern Watch here on Virtue. For whatever reason it won't let me even open the base editor
but we'll get to that.
Anyone who is interested in giving their Canadian toon a home and perhaps a chance for us to build something fun feel free to friend Pinwheel XIII and message me when we are both on.
Our only rule would be that at least one costume should have the Maple Leaf on it (for screenies).
ps. Safeguard looks like a real Canadian Bad-***.
