as far as i know, SOs are not normally available until lvl 22 (minimum because they sell as low a 25s), DOs arent avail until lvl 12 because they dont sell lower than 15.
if anyone got things lower than that, i dont know how.

Any reason you would need them for lvl 8? You'd out level them in a few hours, so it really doesn't seem to be worth the effort.

Well, Yin's Market blueside has SOs at lvl 13 but only one per Origin so I'm not sure how useful that would be for you.

Your best bet is to get a helpful level 50 and duo a series of Ouro missions that contain an AV. Yes, the drop will be random, but some missions contain up to 2 AVs. Drop the 2 AVs, collect the random SO drop, slot if useful and then repeat.

Correction. It makes even less sense than helping a team with a lvl 8 empath.
Sorry to be so rude but a lvl 8 FF'er, even with lvl 10 SOs, is not going to help a team nearly as well as a lvl 50 could.
Higher def % not to mention the opportunity to dip into the medicine pool.
Sorry again but I'm am at a total loss here.
If your plan here is to be a part of the team then I ask why? It's not like you can monitor your team & hand out heals before they are defeated. If your idea is to help & at the same time receive some sort of drop...then this isn't ideal help for lowbies street sweeping.

Why not just grab a bunch of level 10 IOs (folks working on Field Crafter badges have tons of them to get rid of, so they are probably pennies at WW, though I haven't checked recently).
Not your original plan, but it saves you from having to hunt up all those teams for AV hunts.

Why not just grab a bunch of level 10 IOs (folks working on Field Crafter badges have tons of them to get rid of, so they are probably pennies at WW, though I haven't checked recently).
Not your original plan, but it saves you from having to hunt up all those teams for AV hunts.
The enhancement values are not the same, but at level 8, the differences are not really all that mathematically significant, are they?

If I'm correct, then going thru all the arcane manipulations (finding parties to let a really lowbie bubbler tag along) might not be worth the time or effort.

If I'm correct, then going thru all the arcane manipulations (finding parties to let a really lowbie bubbler tag along) might not be worth the time or effort, especially given the random nature of drops to get what the OP needs to slot the character.
It would be more fun to just go ahead and slot with either IOs or green ++ TOs to get going on the reason the character was created instead.
