What if Mender Silos is not Future or Past Nemesis but rather is PRAETORIAN Nemesis?

Wavicle, Energy/Energy Blaster, dinged 50 in Issue 4, summer of 2005.

There is no Praetorian Nemesis. He died a simple toy maker and nothing more.

Of course, this just presents the opportunity to have Zombie Toymaker Praetorian Nemesis. Bots/Dark Mastermind perhaps?

I happen to think you're right. Both: have the same hairstyle, wear goofy gloves, have varying degrees of Facial Hair (except for Silos, but if he was far, far future 'end of time restored to youth and vigor pretending not to be Nemesis' Nemesis then it'd make sense that he's finally discovered a razor and gotten rid of that horrible mustache), and both are caught up in the awful time-travel mechanic.

... Also, I don't recall having ever seen Nemesis and Dr. Aeon in the same room together with Mender Silos; but you'd think the three top time-travel scientists would have gotten together at least once to go over each other's notes at a Time Travel symposium somewhere...

Actually, at Hero-Con, one of the devs said he died of old age as a simple clockmaker.

But I think that's just what they want you to believe!

Aeon is Steve Martin, Silos is Martin Short and Nemesis is Chevy Chase...purely speculation of course.

Actually, I strongly suspect that the resistance in Praetorian Earth is run by our dimension's Nemesis.

If he didn't already know about the Praetorian dimension, I'd be bloody amazed. Nemesis already has portal tech, has his finger in more dimensions than an Eye-Eye after walking through a rogue Tesseract, and (understatement alert!) is somewhat prone to 'fiddling' with other dimensions (see Dark Watcher, Unai Kemen, Tina Macintyre, the Shadow Shard etc. etc.)

On another note, portals and parallel dimensions have been in the game since Issue 1, as far as I know. Even though the overall in game story moves like treacle in Antarctica most of the time, that's still a lot of opportunity for him to get comfortable.

Of course, there are always the other Nemesis' out there to worry about too, Nemesis Rex, for example. We know that Rex and our Nemesis don't get along, and there's no reason there couldn't be an alternative dimension Nemesis working quietly in the background/underground of Praetoria.

It's all speculation until proven otherwise.
