If the standalone still had the same character generator, customization options, and variety of powersets, then yes. I would definitely buy it. I love the game, but can't stand all the losers you have to play it with.
Okay, that's not quite as true for me as it is for others, but I wouldn't miss teaming as long as there were other ways to make great leveling/XP jumps. -
So the new King's Row will be populated by Hollows. How fortuitous that I have a Shinigami Scrapper.

Was very afraid I was too late, but I got one! Thanks!

I needed both a water elemental character and one who would be the Genbu in a Four Holy Beasts group of characters. I killed two birds with one stone by making "Tortuga Misteria", FF/Water. Bubbles are a *kind* of shell, I rationalize.

I have an Illusion Controller who was essentially killed by a Freddy Krueger pastiche and is now a ghost. The torn and shredded patterns work wonderfully for him, especially with a blood-red undercolor to represent wounds.

I prefer to resolve this problem a la the mirror universe conditions of the old Praetoria: you're trading in information, and when you use the Internet you're surfing the money superhighway.
I wouldn't be opposed to renaming it all some generic/obscure word for money, though. I've always been fond of "simoleons." -

I'm sorry the OP had a bad PUG task force. That happens. But as someone who does task forces with nothing but PUGs, on idiot-heavy servers like Freedom and Virtue, I feel confident in saying that that's the exception and not the rule. PUGs are not universally bad. The ITF is not unreasonably difficult. That's all the sympathy you're getting. -
Quote:But in the same way, I've seen 5-7 morons complete the ITF in an hour and fifteen minutes. On pretty much every run I've done with my characters, the key strategy has consisted of "Hit everything with every power you have until it dies or you die." It didn't take purpled-out characters and rocket science-caliber strategy; just hitting things a lot.If you're being facetious, then disregard what I'm about to say.
He's not talking about failing in a "Mission Failed" sort of way, but in a "There's no way in hell we can kill Rommy and his three fluffy friends" way.
If you were being facetious, then try to understand that not everyone is a powergamer, and sometimes you get on a team with 5-7 morons.
I'm not saying that it's impossible not to complete the ITF, but suggesting that it's something that only "powergamers" can pull off is silly. -
I'm not exactly sure what to take away from this other than you had the bad luck to endure a sucky ITF. I've been on my fair share of ITFs, and they're always PUGs; I think once, two people knew each other. I've never had a failed ITF and it's never taken longer than an hour and some change. Shrug.

Quote:I did something similar when I rolled my Broadsword/Regen Scrapper, because I originally just wanted a character who could take advantage of weapon customization. To avoid copyright infringements, I made him a mutant with the ability to rearrange his molecular structure to transform his swords and appearance and have high-speed regeneration. He's also a rabid otaku who cosplays as an Arrancar or a Soul Reaper. Using his mutant ability (and weapon customization and alternate costumes, of course), he can thus fake Shikai, Bankai, and Resurrección.I tend to run with a Bleach-RP group. One of the characters I play (Peacebringer) I actually completely ignore the story of the AT. Instead, I play in human/dwarf, using Dwarf mode as his Resurrección form. Part of his abilities are the complete regeneration of his body... which I visualize with a bony, zombie-like costume change when I am forced to use [Restore Essence].

Quote:Snerk. I wish I really could take a player character with the right AT and powersets through one of the NPC origin stories and come out the other end with signature hero/villain-class powers.Belladonna Vetrano was a lowbie Blood Widow who didn't even take Maneuvers, teamed with Paolo Marino, a newbie Huntsman himself, who got pwn'd by an ambush while doing a Family mission
My Widow would get gunned down by the Family in a second if it would grant her Ghost Widow's mag: ridiculous hold.

I've experienced the same problems with just placing salvage in the interface and setting bids and prices. It is pretty obnoxious. I also don't like how I can't close a salvage description again after expanding it. Scrolling through lists of IO recipes is also annoying because the interface tends to jump through them too quickly; I have to seriously moderate how much I move my mouse in order to navigate the list in detail. And it grinds my gears that recipes that people are simply bidding on get lumped in (that is, highlighted in the interface, whereas recipes with no bids and no supply are greyed out) with recipes that are available for purchase, even if there is 0 supply.

I just got one today. Now I feel special.

Quote:The term I am *really* looking for should be far more infuriating to the above sort of people than "buttcape".... *makes a note to find whoever said "buttcape" first and force them to play OmiKron Nomad Soul*
The term you are looking for is either: Waist-Cape or Tail Coat
Asscape? Fannycape? Heiniecape? Badonkadonkcape? Tuchuscape? Tushcape? Caboosecape? Derrierecape? Kiestercape? Rumpcape? Patootiecape? Poopercape? Analcape? Backdoorcape? Doggystylecape? -

Eh, I'd rather have the game become ridiculously easier. I want Hamidon to die just from having my targeting reticle locked on him. Is that so much to ask?
