veteran rewards are...
Thank you for the correction. Is that from the wedding pack? I tend to buy every theme booster pack made available.

Correct, either by purchasing the $20 Mac Special Edition, or its $10 goodie pack.

(Also: Yes! That is a legitimate(?) use of the Greek letter vet chest deco you're seeing there!)
I love the valkyrie pieces. I use the glove, boot, leg, and chest textures a LOT. I use them on Tight, not the top-level Valkyrie meshes (so the gloves and boots, for example, don't have the big bubbles). The chest texture looks great as an 'undershirt' for an armored-type character.

As a side note, "see who can keep the buff pet alive" is a fun little minigame. And buffed, we've had them over the HP of some of the people on the team rather easily.

I was quite bemused to look over and see my buff drone floating with what looked to be 7-8 inches of ice hanging from it. It was a HUGE layer of ice. I wondered how it could possibly still float, but then I remembered it was just a show and I relaxed.
"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"
"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."
As a bonus, you also get the goofiest costume pieces ever made with that pack! Don't believe me? Check out my man CryoPhreak as he models the Valkyrie armor for you!

I opted for a lower shoulder profile and the less ritzy armor pieces, and in THAT configuration, I really like that armor set. But certainly evildoers are terrified by your get-up, right?

I'm pretty sure all of the following things CAME with the original game:
Egyptian headdress (under "hats")
"Spiky" facial hair
Earpiece (or Rhino Horns)
"Organic" shoulders
Horse chest symbol (horsie!)
Heavy Leather belt (aka the hernia truss)
Finned gloves with "Bare Hands" option
Armored legs with Stone option (Sir, old ladies are storing knickknacks on your love handles...)
Flared combat boots
... and that's before we start adding in CoV stuff. Your ability to make a terrible costume is hardly impeded by the lack of the Valkyrie pack.

@Boltcutter in game.
I for one, love the concept of Veteran rewards. I think that it was a cool idea to keep people playing this game
It just adds a hook, to keep people looking forward to something. thats just my opinion though.
Better it is how it is, then they didnt give it to us at all, i say
lame! why are the veteran rewards so lame? like, who cares about extra salvage slots? someone has been playing and paying for 60 odd months and they get this...

And if Vet rewards were better than they are, you would probably post that it isn't fair that veteran players get all that cool stuff that new players don't get.
The veteran rewards are absolutely, 100% free bonus rewards, of course they're not going to be game-breakingly awesome.
And just to stop your argument before it even starts....no you do NOT pay for veteran rewards, you pay to play the game, veteran rewards are just a nice little bonus you get on top of that. Kinda like getting a coffee cup for keeping your bank account open for 5 years.

For 70 month reward, or heck, whenever, it'd be awesome to get 3 additional enhancement slots. Either give them immediately to the toon, or add further restriction to give upon reaching level 50.
This would be an awesome reward, but I can imagine the jealous ragefest from all the less-than-whatever-month-the-reward-would-be-given players. Too bad they can't all put in their time like the rest of us, without whining.

Its already bad enough that you have to wait years to get veteran reward costume pieces. Still say they should atleast make the costume pieces earnable through ingame work.

The extra slots are especially useful on lowbies, and a great boon to my marketeer. The extra slots really do make a difference when doing a lot of collecting and crafting.

I've actually found a few cases where the Greek letters have come in handy. A civilian outfit for my Mind Controller with a T-shirt bearing capital Psi was a "clever" use, and my Wonder Woman and Wonder Girl/Troia-inspired characters both use the Greek capital first letter of their names as a chest symbol.

Well, yeah, the first choice for the shoulders is a tad much... and your model managed to boost the ShoulderHelmets to be even MORE humongous than they normally are... and they are huge to begin with. . . .

Here, I used the shoulders, belt, and cape, for one of my favorite PBs, Anti-Body.

I DO love some of the things I can do with these parts.
I think offering rewards regardless of how "lame" they may be is awesome and I'm not going to complain. However being faily new I have a question regarding them and don't want to make a new thread for it...
How do they count the months? Are they consecutive or is it 60 (or however many) total? Like if I played for a couple months quit and came back would those first two count towards that total?

You have never/will never have a toon wear a trenchcoat?
You have never/will never use a vet respec?
You have never/will never use a free costume token?
You have never/will never use the Sands of Mu/Ghost Slaying Axe?
Are you saying that if/when you do get to 66 months that you will not use those extra slots given to you?
When I first read the OP's post I got the impression this is a case of sour grapes. I.E. The rewards are lame because he can't get instant gratification and get the rewards now.
