Strange Plant Man Attacks Skyway Police Depatment
In the early hours of the morning the Skyway City Police Depatment was atatcked by an individual belived to be the criminal known as Cactus Brawler. Last seen after shortly after the Rikti attacks he had been belived killed or retired law enforcment authorities.
It is not his attack on the police that raises questions however as the suspect is a member of the anrachist terroirst group known as The Terra Liberation Front, it is his method. Despite damage to property exceeeding $100 000 and multiple injuries to police personel there have been zero fatalities during the incident.
Police were drawn from stations across Paragorn City to drive back this criminal.
Detective Westbrush had this to say
"Obviously the combinded force of the Paragorn Police Division was enough to drive this brute back to the Rogue Islands"
Though the criminal has escaped we at the paper are sure it will be a long time before he has the nerve to attack again.

Warehouse Real-Estate Crash
Temperatures werent the only things rising in the Temperature Industrial district last night. The rubble of the warehouse on 310 Kelvin Road indicate that it was dropped, probably from a height of at least 30 feet.
Mystics from MAGI were on the scene and confirmed that there was magic involved. Why this particular warehouse owned by Crey Industries warehouse was targeted and what was in it are unclear at this time.

Hero Collapses in Nightclub
A member of the Unity Vigil collapsed last night in the Ski Chalet at popular interdimensional nightclub, Pocket D. Ryan Andrews, also known as Cindersnap, was spotted by patrons and staff acting erratically and jerkily before collapsing, being tended to by a fellow member of the supergroup, and wealthy socialite Richard Huntington.
The seventeen year old mutant apparently made a recovery and was able to return home by himself, but various comments overheard by clubgoers included that the young man was 'buzzing', and he described everything as going in 'slow motion'. Whether this is due to some kind of narcotic or other reasons is not yet known, but some critics of metahumans and the various groups state that drug use, binge drinking and sexual deviancy are alarmingly common within the Metahuman community, and implore Unity Vigil commander Zorielle Rolando to investigate the young mans behaviour.
A press release from the PMCD, 'Parents for Metahuman Civil Decency', says "Young heroes are increasingly going off the rails with this Superhero Celebrity Culture the FBSA's hero license policies only help to encourage. These children should be at school rather than patrolling the streets and getting into various misdemeanours. This Cindersnap's behaviour is clearly similar to that of someone on a stimulant, possibly one of the latest new drugs to blight the street, and we demand investigations to protect the children of this city."
Mr. Andrews was unavailable for comment, but a press release from the Unity Vigil states that Cindersnap was not under the effects of any narcotics, and it was simply a side effect of a new manifestation of a metahuman ability.
Hero Blinded
Midday yesterday, the leader of MoX Supergroup, Infinitron was badly injured whilst single handedly stopping a rikti invasion force destroying the Terra Volta power station. Here is an eye witness account of the event, from security guard, Dwayne Johnson:
"Those creatures were terrifying, they were about to kill me im sure when Infinitron came in smacked the [censored] out of 'em. He stormed into the next room in a rage, and methodically eliminated every single of those alien things in there. But as he got to the door at the far side of the room, there was someone else in the way. It wasn't a rikti, the figure wore an arachnos helmet, was armour clad and had claws. There was an exchange of words, and then suddenly this figure just uppercut Infinitron with his claws - smashed straight though his helmet it did. I hid, and this man then led the remaining Rikti out of the building. It was then i managed to get to a phone and phone the authorities."
The description of the assailant ties in with descriptions of an inhabitant of the rogue isles, and servant of Arachnos - Dark Ebon Spider.
Infinitron was taken to Indepence Port hospital, and is said to be in a stable condition, but has lost the use of his right eye. Will this be the end of our great hero? How will he function without depth perception? We wait, and hope. Our prayers are with him.

Galaxy under fire!
Reports from the boardline area of Galaxy city, suggest that the G.R.A.T.A.R.U. Tower complex building has come under what could only be known has a attack from an unknown source, reports from the area say that the whole building as somesort of forcefield protecting it, and the windows have been replaced by armoured panels, eyewitnesses hae told us that there was serveal large blasts at the building, and what appeared to be combat robots of unknown design firing on the building, the area has been sealed off by Longbow, as the fighting as damage the local area.
Sadly we were unable to gain any statements from G.R.A.T.A.R.U. or the Longbow, however they have told us that heroes are adviced not to enter the area, incase this adds to the already choas of the fighting.

Story by the Snitch.
Monster hunting maniacs, the Hyenas, were once again making a name for themselves as they battled the electrically charged Deathsurge on the streets of Cap Au Diable. Deathsurge, a creature seemingly composed of nothing but pure electrical energy, has long been a persistent annoyance to the denizens of Cap Au Diable, as well the source of repeated attacks against the Power Transfer System. In a somewhat short yet visually spectacular battle, the Hyenas managed to totally dissipate the electrical fury saving a number of Cap Au Diables beleaguered citizens in the process.
We at the Informer had a chance to speak to an eyewitness who made the following comments about the battle...
Them Hyenas must be crazy! It seems they were doing everything they could to **ss Deathsurge off, and getting it to let loose with everything it had. Still it must of been part of their plan because the harder Deathsurge fought the more it seemed to falter. I saw some sort of metal ball floating about that was literally sucking Deathsurges electrical discharge into itself. I guess whatever that little ball thing was it was weakening the creature, because Deathsurge was definitely trying to get away from it. Made no difference in the end though because them Hyenas were circling Deathsurge, much like their animal namesakes would do in the wild, cutting off its escape route.
Despite the fact the Hyenas victory over Deathsurge is unlikely be a permanent solution to the Cap Au Diable menace, nobody has anything but praise for the motley looking adventurers. In the past when Arachnos and their Chosen goons have defeated Deathsurge it has always managed to reform itself sometime later. In all likelihood that will happen again, but people are hoping that the Hyenas might be on hand to continue inflicting humiliating defeats until it finally gets the message and decides to move on from Cap Au Diable.
With impressive victories over two of the Etoile Isles greatest menaces, as well as a string of others against the Isles smaller, yet more prolific... Cont Pg.2

Staunching the threat from these caped Vigilantes
a known vigilante(Infinitron *pic Above*)from Paragon city tried to stop a peace treaty Lord Recluse had set up with the Rikti, the peace treaty was going without any problems till the masked madman burst in and began firing upon the aliens left and right. they tried to fight back but unfortunately they were no match for this vile indeviduals onslaught and indeed had there not been an arachnos agent (Dark Ebon Spider *Pic right*) overseeing the treaty there would have been many more Innocent deaths.
Lord Recluse has given a no holds barred interview for the gazette. "we cannot let these masked vigilantes just do whatever they like... they are harming my city and my citizens. on a lighter note im very proud of Dark Ebon Spider who will be receiving a medal of honor for his work, indeed i am proud of all the Heroes that claim citizenship in my isles, its thanks to people like them that these vigilantes from paragon city dont overun these isles with their brand of "justice"." When asked about the heroes that inhabit his isled in actuallity being convicted villains and that there was no peace treaty Lord Recluse responded with "These vigilantes are spreading malicious lies about myself and about my citizens, I mean they even spread lies about my Agent Ebon Spider, they are the ones that fire on a peace treaty but my Agent is the villain for defending them? they even paid off some corrupt security officer to lie about the actions that occurred in the treaty, now I must go" Lord Recluse refused to comment further. The Rogue Isles Gazette has managed to find out that the vigilante that Arachnos hero Dark ebon Spider managed to subdue was admitted to hospital blinded in one eye when asked about what happened Dark Ebon Spider gave the Gazette this comment "I dont see myself as a hero i see myself as the common man using his skills for the betterment of mankind, i simply cannot allow these peace treaties to be thwarted due to Xenophobic Vigilantes thinking they are judge, jury and executioner" Chilling words indeed from the Arachnos Hero.

"Jack Jones, I'm a Freelance reporter and I have an article for your editor."
"I'm sorry, we're not-" the secretary paused, looking confused at her screen.
"Oh... it turns out... Mister Smithson is free now... You can... go through I guess." when she looked up, the doors leading to the hallway were already swinging, she could just make our the back of the young man as he rushed down the hallway. "Sheesh, a thank you wouldn't hurt..."
---
"Jack Jones, Freelance Reporter, Mister Smithsons I've got a killer story for you to print sir." said the young man enthusiastically.
"What? Who let you in here? Listen kid I'm busy-- But I... suppose it couldn't hurt. Give me that!" he said, snatching the peice of paper from Jack Jones' grip.
"Hmmm, hmmm, hmmm... Garbage! Get out of my office!"
"What? But you need to read it again." the young reporter said, raising his tone a little more.
"You think you're the only Psychic to try to pull that balony on me son? I got a damn inhibitor chip in my head to avoid this kinda thing! Now get out of my office before I call security! Unbelievable-Man is a very good friend of mine you know?"
Jack Jones raised an eyebrow and took off his reflective blue Sun-Glasses, placing them in his top brest pocket.
"Oh so you're going to make me call Security huh?" Smithson waved to the security camera on his wall. "There, you happy now?"
"Heh. I think you're mistaken about a lot of things Mister Smithson... The Article, my intentions... but most of all... Your security members, who are quite subdued until I leave the building." his voice remained calm and unthreatening like that of a monk.
"Aw hell. You're good, alright I'll print the damn story, just don't hurt me!" he paused for a moment and glanced at the only window in his office which over looked Steel Canyon. "UNBELIEVABLE-MAN HELP!" he suddenly yelled, springing to the office window and banging on the glass with a clenched fist.
Without seemingly moving Jones was at Smithsons side. He grabbed his arm and threw him onto his desk with just the right amount of force. "Unbelievable-Man is in the Shadow Shard... I checked and besides, what makes you think I couldn't take him down if he did show up?"
Smithson sighed heavily. "Alright, whatever, I'll do whatever you want."
"Yeah..." spoke Jones in a distorted voice as he moved towards Smithson with a hand outstretched, "...I know." The room faded a neon blue hue as small bolts of energy shot into Smithsons temple lobes.
---
"Leanne!?" came Smithsons voice to the secretaries desk a few minutes later.
"Yes... Mister Smithson...?" she replied wearily.
"Get young Jay-Jay a pay-slip and tell Mike we've got a new article to add to the Paragon Life section... Oh and how many times!? I'm out of coffee!!"
Jack slipped by Leannes's desk and placed the palm of his hand and a slip of paper infront of her.
With a self-satisfied smirk beneath his reflective neon blue Sun-Glasses he added, "Hey there beautiful."

Fourth Wall Club Review
by Jack Jones
You've probably heard of the Fourth Wall Night Club if you're a 'somebody' in
Paragon City, but if you're like me and you've only just become familiar with
the name, let me tell you that the Fourth Wall in Blyde Square is the
hottest new club in town.
Originally set up by city hero Stratocaster, the club was given a luke-warm,
welcome from the Hero community, to which it was aimed. Since then the club
shut down and was bought by a Queen (the band) loving friendly Werewolf from
France.
Don't worry, his taste in music gets trendier and the cool, casual Parisian
feel of the club is a welcome altication from the usual blaring beats of
other clubs such as Hyperdrive and Pocket D.
It's definately a classy venue and as such you're going to need to look your
best -- without of course trying too hard -- as you may find yourself rubbing
shoulders with some of Paragons greatest heroes.
The Fourth Wall Night Club is Open every night.
Watch out for news of the next monthly Specials Night - 'Carnivale'.
You heard it here first people.

Local Band Goes Through Super Times
------------------------------------
Local Band 'The Pipedream', recording their debut album currently, have announced a new line up today after a shock annoucement at a record store signing.
Frontman Joey Stahl announced that current bass player Cassie Young would become the lead singer of the band, with him taking a lesser role as lead guitar and the recruitment of a new bass player, yet unnamed.
Fans were shocked at the announcement and some even lambasted the decision, accusing the band of using the female lead to try and propel themselves into starlight. Stahl said that the band had "good reason" to bring Young to the front and that all will be revealed "in due course".
Stahl then went on to say that the band would be out of touch for roughly 5 weeks while they went through some "rigourous practice and honing of skills".
Stahl himself has been seen at City Hall regularly, and has been photographed entering the G.I.F.T offices. Rumours of his voice having a new effect on his fans have been shot down, but with this new singer for the band, the rumours are looking stronger every day.

(The following article and articles of similar tone would be found in newspapers throughout the Rogue Isles, specifically Sharkhead, on 20th January 2008)
Chaos Reigns!
In the early hours of the morning, the peaceful docks of Sharkhead became a warzone as two vicious superpowered criminals duked it out on the deck of an Arachnos frigate.
Lord Darvek and Iron Alligator were engaged in a vicious battle which lasted around two hours and resulted in Longbow forces arriving at the scene and being dealt with by the two criminals, who then resumed their battle. The carnage destroyed the frigate entirely although use of conventional plastic explosive is suspected, as one of the combatants has a reputation for using to utmost effect.
Iron Alligator is a known member of criminal organisation The Corporation and some sources suggest the possibility that he is Mark A. Scale, a young man who went missing in Louisiana, USA around ten years ago. Iron Alligator is also wanted by Arachnos for going against laws passed by Arbiter Bishop that all mutants must swear allegiance to the state, along with several other infractions such as vandalism, theft and murder. Very little is known about Lord Darvek apart from the bounty that had been set prior to the fight. It is believed the fight was started over an attempt to collect the bounty.
This terrible battle cost at least 20 Arachnos shipmen their lives, as well as unknown amounts of collateral damage. Unknown amounts of Longbow operatives were slain in the chaos, and some witnesses claim that Paragon hero Commander Beet attempted to apprehend Darvek during and after the fight.
The LRS Garm was originally besieged by Lord Darvek at around 2:51 AM, who allegedly made short work of most of the crew. Iron Alligator then appeared and challenged...(cont. on page 2)
Reports of Sprawler sightings in Dark Astoria, City Hall deny his existance.
Another apparent sighting of the mysterious figure known as Sprawler was reported to the PPD earlier this week. Strangely, the mayor went out of his way to hold a public appearance and made it very clear that "Sprawler does not exist in any way or form." What is even odder, is that this was 10 minutes before the report was made.
So is this Sprawler character really just a man in a rubber suit? Or is he a darker side of the already pitch black underside of the Government. I know which one I'm voting for, and it's got a much better story to it.

On The Receiving End!
It looks like the Sky Raiders may very well have been given a taste of their own medicine according to a number of rumours circulating of some sort of attack upon their offshore platform in Sharkhead Isle. Despite stormy weather conditions, a number of Sharkhead citizens witnessed a large explosion on the platform About 9.30pm Friday night. It is unknown exactly how much damage the explosion caused, but several gun turrets were rumoured to have ceased functioning.
Early speculation was that harassing Longbow forces may have infiltrated the platform in order to disable its defences before an attempt to take the facility from the Sky Raiders. This theory has since been dismissed because of the almost total absence of besieging Longbow troops thanks to Fridays storm conditions.
Another popular theory is that the platform was actually infiltrated by agents acting on behalf of Arachnos. Although Arachnos seem content to allow the continued presence of the Sky Raider platform, no doubt thanks to it keeping large numbers of invading Longbow continually occupied, the two groups are far from being on friendly terms. It seems quite probable that Arachnos had dispatched agents to exploit the raging storm and consequently the reduced surrounding Longbow presence in order infiltrate and steal some valuable technology or information from the Sky Raiders.
Observers both on shore and from nearby vessels said the platform appeared to be in a state of general commotion before the Sky Raiders seemed to manage to restore order a short time later. As soon as the storm had passed Longbow once again returned in order to renew its seemingly futile siege against the platform, no doubt kicking themselves for a missed opportunity.

"In the early hours of this morning, the dedicated Rogue Isles Police Department acted on a tip-off that an abandoned house in the Darwin's Landing district of Mercy Island was being used to store large quantities of the street drug known as 'Dyne'. Responding with swift efficency a team led by officer Jessica Black arrived on the scene and investigated.
After performing an initial sweep of the property, Officer Black determined that the situation was a matter of military concern and Arachnos troops were quickly radioed in.
Officer Black had this to say; "Being a police officer in the Isles isn't like being a cop anywhere else. You see a lot of sick things, but that house was something else. The Skulls had set up a base in there and were sorting through the massive supplies of Superadyne, and we even found some Chronodyne in there. But the Skulls were all dead, murdered in a very brutal way. Whatever killed them, it happened recently."
Unconfirmed reports also suggest that a great deal of technological equipment was found. This equipment and the severl varieties of Superadyne found in the house are currently being processed by Arachnos.
Chronodyne was a variation of Superadyne developed by Doctor Edward Me...(Continued Page Seven.)

Mother In City Hall Clash
Dramatic scenes occurred yesterday outside City Hall as an impassioned mother pleaded for the life of her child. Lauren Reinhart, 29 of Cotton Terrace, Kings Row, held a press conference appealing for help in tracing her missing child in the Etoile Isles. Skye Reinhart, aged 6, was last seen two months ago during a raid on Talos Island bank by Arachnos forces. Her mother, hiding them from the battle scenes outside, lost track of where her daughter was.
There was the sound of gunfire outside, windows were being smashed and we hid until the spiders were fought off, says Ms Reinhart. When they stopped, I looked up and Skye was gone.
Since then, Ms Reinhart has been relentless in trying to track her missing daughter. The heroes present on the day of the raid have all been questioned and no trace of the child has been found. Ms Reinhart today petitioned City Hall to send a delegation to the Etoile Isles to begin investigations over there.
There has been no sign of Skye in two months, she stated, I can only conclude that she was either taken by Arachnos forces or by one of the street gangs in the area. I call upon City Hall and Lord Recluse himself to help me to find my child.
So far, no official word has been received from the Island state. City Hall refused to comment on the matter.

Minute by minute news from the "City of Heroes"
NATIONAL CRISIS AVERTED AS PARAGON HEROES SAVE PRESIDENT'S LIFE
Exclusive Report by Amelia Ray
AN ATTEMPT to blow up the President and the Joint Chiefs of Staff was foiled by the Paragon-based supergroup The Hyperion Watchmen.
Details have just been released about the foiled assassination during a high level meeting at the Pentagon, Washington DC, to discuss national security. A Whitehouse insider said that if the attempt, which is believed to have involved a number of explosive devices, had been successful the security of the United States would have been severely compromised.
An investigation has been launched, but it is understood that former Government security advisor Theodore Roget and several operatives of the paramilitary group The Council were arrested after being captured and subdued by the Hyperion Watchmen. The Watchmen also exposed several hidden Council bases in Brickstown and Striga Island in the hours prior to the Washington drama.
Until today, the Watchmen were a relatively secretive supergroup. There are records of the group assisting Paragon Police Department and other heroes. However, they had always seemed to shun the spotlight outside of brief public statements made by lieutenant White Vampyr, better known as Suzi White-Mitchell, the former rock singer who recently married Eric "Britanic" Mitchell. But with this highest of profile successes, that looks set to change.
White Vampyr said: "My colleagues of the Hyperion Watchmen and I are simply trying to put our unasked-for talents to good use for the world we live in. We are grateful for the praise and recognition we have received today, but we dedicate it all to two forgotten heroes: Hyperion Star and Comette".
Hyperion Watchmen, codenamed Bastinado, White Vampyr, Dr. Furnace, High Burn, White Nightingale, Abyssa, Boneblade, Big Daddy and Tenro, were awarded Bronze Stars for valour at a behind closed doors ceremony this week. The group was also collectively awarded a unit citation and a Silver Star.
Perhaps the most surprising revelation is that the group's leader Captain David Reuther, codename Bastinado, was an escaped prisoner. Captain Reuther had been court martialed and jailed immediately after being evacuated from an Asian prison three years ago. Reuther was to be granted a Presidential Pardon, but yesterday a brief statement from the Whitehouse said that his conviction, the details of which remain classified, had been overturned.
Army spokesman, Col. Paul House said: "Over the years those of us who new Captain Reuther believed in him and his innocence. Regrettably, I cannot go into the circumstances into his wrongful detainment other than to confirm that a number of Army and CIA officers have been dismissed while an inquiry is undertaken.
"Captain Reuther is a proud American and the people of this country will never know the debt they owe to him and others who defend the security of our great nation in secret while they sleep. Actions like that which saved the lives of the President and the Joint Chiefs suggest that the Army's loss is Paragon City's gain."

TERRA LIBERATION FRONT CLAIMS PRESIDENTIAL ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT
By Jack Jones
LAST NIGHT a video of famed Super-Villain Doppleganger The "Hatesman" appeared on a website, in which he claimed responsibility for the recently failed attempt on the presidents life.
The wanted leader of the Terra Liberation Front, and Statesman Look-a-Like, appeared urging viewers to rise up against the "tyranny of Democratic Government" and attempt yet further attacks against "a White House that is shocked, weak and confused".
The Hatesman is leader of a prolific Terrorist Cell known as the Terra Liberation Front, whose public mission claims that they will bring down democracy, law and order in hopes of raising a 'Utopian Anarchy' in its place where the weak will be weeded out by the strong.
The Hatesman also makes it clear that his message is not intended for normal people, but rather 'those who possess the power' meaning Meta-Humans. Among his record of federal offences Hatesman is accused of insighting hatred between Super-Powered and Non-Super-Powered communities.
At this time it's unclear as to how the Terra Liberation Front could have been behind the attack, that was thwarted by The Hyperion Watchmen, raising fears and suspicions that the TLF and Council are now working together in a campaign against the President.
The White House has yet to comment on this story, though the Video has already been removed from its original host site.

Comtessa Moves to remote Island
Comtessa Eliza de Batary, well known for her appearances on high society parties held by Paragon City's rich and famous, is heard renting a place on the remote laying island near Africa called 'Îles de Liberté' or Liberty Island. Hear the revealing scoop right here.
It's sounds a bit out of character. The Comtessa looks a bit uncomfortable for the interview and photoshoot. "I am not used to giving interviews!", she says with a small smile.
For the last two years the Comtessa has been living in an unknown location somewhere in Paragon City. Claiming she needed to have a private life outside the society pages she held that a secret to everyone. But that has changed now... we of 'Capes' have found out that she rented a villa on the 'Îles de Liberté' or Liberty Island at the far side of Africa. What brings a person like her to go and live in such a remote area?
"I only rented it as a vacation resort... I really need the rest!", she declares with a slight French accent. "I looked at lots of places around Paragon, but that just isn't giving me the rest I need. This place is beautiful, and remote enough to really clear my mind."
And we may have to agree with her. Being so close to her it seems her skin is rather pale at some places. Probably because of lack of sleep. This must be the price paid for parties that sometimes go on till late in the morning.
"I am not really moving at all... I will stay away for a few months. After that... who knows." She really looks like a night queen. The Comtessa is wearing an expensive red dress. Her smile beams out to everyone in the room. Although every gossip magazine in the U.S.A. have tried to find out her real age, none has yet find it out. Still looking at her she just can't be older then 31. "I will be back before you know it!"
The villa she bought is called 'Villa Palm'. It has a lovely view over the volcano... a Private road... 5 rooms of which 3 are bedrooms, and an exposure to the South. So what is a party animal like you doing with three bedrooms? "Hahaha... you really want to know that? Actually it's rather boring. I bring along some help and a cook. I am not sure I can take the local food. That was the only possible setback on the place.", she reacts outgoing.
We wish her a good vacation and hope for all rich heroic men in Paragon City that she will be back shortly.

TEMPEST HALT MASSIVE MAURADING MECH
By Babs Lawson
DOWNTOWN Skyway City trembled last night as a giant robot ran amok on the freeway.
The marauding mechs wake of destruction will cost the city millions of dollars to repair. However, the damage was limited and there was no loss of life thanks to the intervention of Silent Tempest and other heroes.
Commuters returning from work on the elevated train watched in amazement as a titanic battle raged across the freeway.
Flying heroes buzzed around the malevolent machine like angry hornets while other heroes fought it at close quarters.
The battered and smouldering remains of the robot are still causing long delays for motorists this morning as the city tries to come up with a way of removing it safely.
The battle marks a surprise return to the spotlight for Silent Tempest who, with the exception of a recent operation in South Africa, have been relatively low key since the death of their leader Andre Coile Kraft.
Leading the Tempest contingent of Star Crusader, Mesoc and Diana Love Angel Bright, was the groups surprising choice of new field commander Dee Dee Diablo.
Among Diablos comments were some words that are printable in a family newspaper.
She said: This is the biggest comeback since Led Zeppelin. Tempest is back and if you do bad stuff were going to take you down, because thats how we roll. Big robots dont faze us; we just came at it like a giants can opener.
And just for the record, all that damage was done by the robot and, in fact, most of it was like that when we got here.
Tempest veteran Diana Bright also had something to say: "It was huge! Well yes, I saw bigger but this one was almost as big! And like just me couldn't handle it even with Xan's help, it was that big!
So then Mister Malcolm came with Dee too, but like they couldn't handle it either! Fortunately some people from Militia came and some other heroes too and finally we were all handling it! When it went down it seemed a lot smaller though, you know?"
The battle is also significant as the first high profile team up between Silent Tempest and the Militia after both groups suffered well-publicised losses and troubles.
Hero watcher Marlon Bledsoe, of the Buzz Around Paragon website, said: Tempest and the Milita have had a stormy love affair for years but, with the losses of Michael Wayne and Andre Kraft, both seemed content to plough their own furrow. But theres nothing like a huge, vibrating piece of machinery to put the spark back in a relationship and who knows if we will see more collaborations in the coming weeks.

For the first time in it's history, Paragon City is to have a rugby union club! Mr. Ellis Web-William, a citizen from Atlas Park put the idea forward to City Hall and last night recived permission and a small tract of land within Galaxy City to develop a pitch and facilities.
Our correspondent, Luke Gaffney, caught up with Mr. Webb-William to ask him a few questions about the club.
LG: So Mr. Webb-William, what gave you the idea to form a rugby club within Paragon?
EWW: Well, Paragon already has a vast variety of sports to offer so I felt that the city could quite easily make room for one more club. I believe that the physical nature and the social aspect of rugby will appeal to a lot of people within the city and also within the city´s hero community.
LG: Are heroes powers going to be limited to make the game fair?
EWW: Of course they'll be limited, we don't want anyone shooting lasers from their eyes or spines from their body in the middle of a game do we? City Hall have agreed to supply the team with the neccesary equipment to supress the powers of any hero who joins the team.
LG: Have any notable heroes signed up yet?
EWW: The hero Crimson Commonwealth has signed up and we've also managed to recruit former Irish international Michael McBride.
LG: Is there any posistions available within the club for those who don't wish to play?
EWW: The club is holding it's first meeting tomorrow in the Pocket D nightclub to appoint committee members such as social secretary and treasurer. The club also needs plenty of supporters!
Paragon City RUFC will hold it's first meeting tomorrow in Pocket D nightclub at 9pm.

Fourth Wall Under New Management
The Fourth Wall, a prestigious club for the heroes of Paragon City, has been open for a scant month and it now appears to have changed hands. In a public announcement, the managers and owners of the club handed the running and management of the club itself to a Creole named Jean-Luc Santeres. The club is currently closed for refurbishment, and will reopen in the near future. (full story on page 5)
