I just hope I can pre-order on the NCSoft site ... as I live in Australia, the chances of my local game stores actually stocking this is minimal, which means the chances of me pre-ordering are even less.

Guys and gals, we really need to up the maximum character capacity on each server beyond 36. By the end of this year (hell, even before then) it won't be enough character spaces for me!

So I'll just throw in some random speculation in here because I feel like that AND YOU CANNOT STOP ME.

So remember how with, I think Issue 13, missions suddenly got Hero and Villain tags? By now it's pretty obvious they added that for Going Rogue stuffs.

So Paragon City has only heroic and neutral missions, the Rogue Isles have only villainous and neutral missions, the Rikti War Zone has only neutral missions, and if Cimeroa has heroic and villainous missions, I don't remember if they do, they'd be given by Daedalus and Sister Airlia respectively.

In other words, heroes can't do villainous missions, and villains can't do heroic missions. They simply aren't there for them. How would they be able to, anyway? Pick a purse in Paragon City, and the local hero population will send you to the zig whereas doing anything to improve the morale and living conditions in the Rogue Isles will get you the wrath of Arachnos and probably every enterprising villain around.

So my assumption is that in Praetoria, heroes actually CAN do villainous missions, and villains can do heroic missions. There's probably be a meter or something that'll move up and down depending on how the mission is tagged, and if you do enough missions with the opposite tag, you'll eventually lose access to your previous faction while simultaneously gaining access to your new one.

'course, I might be wrong, but it seems plausible given the information at hand.

All I can say with the news released today is that I won't be straying from City of Heroes any time soon. I was just going to give it a test run to see how it went, but didn't imagine leaving for long, if at all. Now I have too many reasons to stay!

Difficulty increases FTW!!!!

Think of this the other way around: If Bettie Page was a villain set in the "City of..." universe wouldn't you more or less -expect- her to be a magic wielding demon dominatrix? I would...

Yes please more slots!

And please increase the size of my global ignore by 100. It has been full for over a year now, and every time I ignore another scumbag RMT spammer, it drops someone else off the list.
*edit* and reason to justify this (if at all ever possible), one of my alts I didn't play for a month, and on login she had 88 RMTs. Most of my alts tend to get 2-5 RMTs per play session.

I'm all for more character slots per server. Bring'm on.

But the idea of getting more global ignore space is self-defeating. What happens when you fill up the extra space they give you? Do you ask for more again? I agree that RMT spam is annoying as heck but worrying about people dropping of the list is effectively pointless. Most of the time the individual characters they use get banned within a day or two and end up appearing as "empty" in our lists anyway. The "empties" dropping off our lists aren't coming back anyway so keeping them around isn't doing any good regardless. *shrugs*

What? Where are the comparisons to Bettie Page coming from? She looks nothing like Bettie Page she lacks the strong square jaw, hourglass figure and the house-wife in pearls appeal Page had.

Desdemona looks a bit chunky in the face too; as if she suffered from obesity as a child.

I can't believe that people actually see Desdemona as "chunky" or "thick". I weep for our society that considers anything more than skin and bones to be chunky or thick.

Just wondering how things will work wrt Going Rogue.

- I assume the other poster was right about having to be in Praetoria (sp) to switch sides.
- If a hero flip in Praetora, can they then return to Rogue Isles, but not Paragon City?
- If your in an SG, and you flip, do you stay in the SG, or do you get booted
- What about the economy? Villains switch to Hero, get their cheap IOs, then switch back. Or will the economies be melded together?

I think it would be better to have two ignore lists, the normal ignore list and the spam ignore list. That way the addition of a spammer's name, which likely has a very short shelf life, won't push off the name of somebody who will need to be ignored in the long term for being annoying.

I seem to recall that Marilyn Monroe is reported to have been the equivalent of today's size 12 (shock & horror!).

I think Desdemona looks curvy, strong & athletic.

As mentioned in the other thread, not everyone who feels this way mean it negatively. Many use the terms as compliments. Certainly makes her have a different visual design in comparison to most other female characters.

At 5'7 and 120 pounds, Desdemona is probably between a size 8 and a 10. She'd be about Pamela Anderson's size minus the latter's experimentation with the chest slider.

Monroe would have been a tad shorter and heavier, but otherwise pretty close.

No, she doesn't look fat. She just has a chunky face, like she used to have obesity problems.

And there are plenty of women that aren't rail-thin that don't have chunky faces. Desdemona looks like she could have done the truffle-shuffle in her youth.

I find it interesting everyone is obsessed with the new female toons looks and weight. Not very classy. All in all I like the character, I don't think she looks "fat". In fact her proportions look pretty normal. Kudo's to NCSoft designers for making a character with curves and a nice full face. Which may be where the Betty Paige references are coming from. She has "real woman" proportions like the old 50's pinups.

Do you know any real women?

That weight and height generally doesn't equate to an 8-10 unless you are talking about how hot she is.

Lol no [censored] bro. 5'7" 120 lbs is like Angelina Jolie. Hardly a size 10. Nice try though.
