I have a new idea for a brand new epic class called Time Manipulator the class can use time powers to control his enemies and also dodge attacksand also the class contact could be called The Time Keeper or such that there is in in balance in the past and to go back and fix it.That is caused current heroes and villains to switch sides.I just thought it might be a good idea because there has not been any time classes yet.

I thought they had announced that there would be 2 or 4 (I can't remember exactly) character slots unlocked with GR, like COV.

I know there has been plently of discussion throughout the boards here on teh Epic powers as well, but as I understand it there is no new epic class. If you start a Corr and choose to be a Hero you will have access to the Hero Ancillary powers, if you stay a villain you gain Patrons.

So.... you'd start the game as a Mender of Ouroboros?

I am pretty sure that you will have two slots unlocked (which does nothing to help people out who already have 36 slots on their favorite server).

Also, doesn't that statement guarantee that there will be "new" Epic/Patron Pools? I mean, there is NO pool at the moment that a Corruptor would get on heroside, seeing as how it isn't a hero AT. Likewise for Patrons. What pool would a Tanker get if he got to 41 and was a Villain? I think this pretty much assures that there will be new collections of Epics and Patrons (though they may or may not have any new powers in them, just a new configuration of existing ones). Besides, for a bit, Stalkers on test had access to Epic Pools when respec-ed, and it was not an existing Epic Pool... I rest my case.

We already know of variations of a lot of Earth prime heroes in Praetorian but what about our villains. I know lord recluse is dead, don't know if he stayed dead :P, but what about others.

I think it's safe to say that Marcus killed Stefan before Stefan drank from the well. Because killing the incarnation of a god is probably more difficult than just snuffing some dude.

It would be cool to have another "swap ammo" option for the Dual Pistols set: holy rounds. Something akin to the holy shotgun shells, the undead slaying axe and the day job purification power that all give a damage bonus versus undead or non-human opponents.

While I'm here...

I've been playing for 6 years, love the game, made friends who mostly play on Virtue. I'm getting a little anxious about the fact that I have only 5 heroes and 7 villains left on Virtue who aren't 50, and all 36 possible slots are occuppied. I have been spending a lot of cash (I don't think saying hundreds of dollars is an exaggeration) to shuttle toons back and forth between servers to create new toons as new power sets and concepts become available, as well as to dust off toons that have been shelved.

I hate that I have outgrown my server and that I have no choice but to banish toons just to try out something new. It's not as simple as just playing on a different server, either. We have long-established super groups on red and blue side alike, and a large community of friends and in-game acquaintances who play on Virtue. It wouldn't be the same, so I'm settling for things as they are.

With the recognition that long-playing subscribers have achieved end-game and the development of post-50 content, is there any consideration being given to increasing the number of toons available per server? I'm not the only player who has outgrown their home server.

While those $10 toon transfers are funding things like booster packs, I'm paying more for those than for my game subscription because of a limitation that is a direct result of the success of the game. I would gladly pay to add more slots to Virtue, which would solve this problem. I can only play one toon at a time, so no worries about over-populating, right?

I'm concerned about my ability to continue to enjoy new things that are introduced into the game if I have to keep giving up the things I already like as a consequence.

Hey all,

Has there been a definitive Red Name answer about how side switching will affect Super/ Villain group membership? I've searched as well as I know how and have come up with nada.

There has not yet been an official and public answer about this subject. There might be one in the beta testing section, but that's neither public nor (yet) official.

I was fairly certain that there was a comment made to the effect that the plan was to make as many people happy as possible. Beyond that, I can't really see how they would let Villains be in SGs and vice-versa. BUT, I don't see a problem with Rogues/Vigilantes being included in VGs/SGs (respectively).

IDK what they're planning on doing, But I do wish they'd have figured this out awhile back - Oh maybe before they had the 'free server transfers' thing.

That's rhetorical really...

I doubt they knew what they were going to do about this back then, and it probably would've changed. IIRC at that point they were still saying they'd keep the markets separate, not allow trading of anything beyond Inspirations between opposite factions characters, keep Influence & Infamy separate at all costs, etc.

Although I really do hope they'll consider another period of (at least a few) free server transfers - sometime after they figure this out & announce it - sometime after GR goes live... Maybe a few weeks later to allow us time to have alts swap factions - as needed.

I have a dozen or more characters on servers where I have 12 (or more) slots filled and all but a couple are them either are Blueside or Redside. Leaving the rest in tiny (often solo) little SGs/VGs, it would be nice to take all these alts and gather them up in more logical/practical manner - on whichever side/faction is more appropriate for them to exist.

If you're spending hundreds of dollars moving characters back and forth... You probably should have just gotten a second account by now. (Yes, I know you have to start building Veteran time from scratch, which kinda sucks. But you can't start sooner than now, and the longer you put it off...)

Honestly, there's a business decision here. There's no physical reason they can't update the UI and let everyone have 48 characters per account. It'll take more database space and there's an incremental cost to that, there's also incremental network cost, because I think you download all your characters every time you log in. Still, the per slot charges should defray most of that.

But the fact is, that enough people who are into the game enough to need more than 36 slots *will* cave and buy a second account. I know I have

NCSoft would much prefer $15/month than a 1-time $48 payment.

We were told that Rogues and Vigilantes can remain in their respective VG's and SG's, but that becoming a villain does mean expulsion from one's SG and vice versa.

I'm not sure if this is where I should post this. If there is a better place please, someone please provide me a link.

I'm disappointed in the dominator electric control. Namely because, as Liliaceae pointed out here http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showt...ctric+Feedback That Static Field and Synaptic Overlord, are not being affected by Domination.

This is most likely because both these powers use secondary invisible spawned pets to function as they do. Domination doesn't carry over to these secondary pets, much like it doesn't carry over to Volcanic Gasses.

This failure to carry over issue is not new or a working as intended as seen with the issue of procs not carrying over to Carrion Creepers (which was fixed) and, if I remember correctly, Chain Induction not carrying brute rage modification over to additional targets (which was also fixed).

Since these are the set's two significant soft control powers, this neuters the set significantly for Dominators who die quickly if bosses are not mezzed with the rest of the spawn. Which means that this set is significantly bugged and needs attention.

Other than this issue, I am extremely happy with this expansion and I can't wait for it to go live.

The official feedback thread on Electric Control would be a MUCH better place. I assume that with the NDA lifted, that folks have access to these boards.

Nope, I don't have access to that thread. So, while I'm in beta testing stuff. I don't actually anywhere proper to post any of my findings. Wonderful how that works out eh?

Seeing as the Ocho, Avatea, and Mod12 have all offered to help with this sort of thing, if folks are stuck or denied access, it strikes me as somewhat amazing. They've all said no to your PMs, huh?

Ya know. They say to ignore trolls. I've said it plenty of times myself. But when it actually comes down to it. It's pretty hard to do.

This isn't an unheard of bug. They've fix similar bugs before so I'm sure this one will get attention eventually. Probably not before release though.

This is kinda sorta related to costumes:

I like the new stances that come with the GR/18 total package. I was thinking it would neat if we could choose a default stance. So were not all standing around like Superman watching over Metropolis. Me, I happen to like the viallain stance 1 (I think) the one where the legs are close together and the arms crossed.

We coudl choose our default stance in the character creator... maybe give us a femine stance as well - girls only of course. ^^

Yes, I think that we should be able to choose a default stance... NO, options should NOT be locked due to gender.

More than likely, this is in the wrong place. Since there are so many places, and I don't want to spend countless hours looking at all of them, I'm placing it here.

If it's totally inappropriate, please forgive me.

As this is an Official Going Rogue Discussion, I'd like to suggest that there be someway to disable GR for some characters on an account. I ran some missions with a PUG, and to my surprise, my hero has taken two steps towards being a vigilante. I never knew I was doing a vigilante mission.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who doesn't read anything about the mission, except for the mission objectives. If they're my missions, I will probably read them, but you've got a group on a mission map, you're sent an invite, and you want to get that end of mission bonus, so you've got to hurry and get on the map. No time to be wasted reading the trite trivial stuff.

I'm smart enough to realize that in the scheme of life, this is a trivial matter to many. But, for now, I'd like some notification that this friend who's invited me to help him is leading my character down an immoral path.

You're doing Vigilante missions, and don't want to be a Vigilante? Firstly, don't do them. I mean, if you're speaking from an RP perspective. Pay attention.

Otherwise, secondly, if you somehow manage to go all the way THROUGH and COMPLETE a morality mission...don't switch sides. There is big red text that warns you. Mechanically speaking, you can't switch sides unless you actually say, "Yes, I want to be a Vigilante."

If the mission text is "trite and trivial" and you can't be bothered to read it... than how can you possibly care what your alignment is?
