Looks like "Earth Assault" is coming for Dominator

Could be a new power. Castle did create two new powers when he "ported" Mental Mastery.

Only if the "new" power didn't require any new animations. Bab's said in this round the only power that required a new animation was broadsword AS.

Earth's Embrace is a really neat idea. Very strong, but lets be honest drain psyche is pretty powerful too in terms of survivability.

So I guess they are saving Illusion(of some type) and electric control as added powersets for later on, oh well maybe next time.

Well, I hope we get something good...Controllers did get /Cold Domination afterall....which is a HUGE boost to their performance in both pve and pvp...all I can say is...Earth Assault better be good.

Actually, looking at the proliferations, it looks like Vills may have been hosed again...I think /Thermal for MM's was the only really good prolif to come of i16, at least as far as pvp is concerned. Heck, Blasters even get Radiation Blast..I mean, Arch/TA is a decent prolif for Corrs, but TA on a Corr is not going to be what TA is on a Defender, and even on a Defender, it aint all that imho. But ah well...we'll see. I hate to cry doom so fast...but I feel a little cheated...which shouldn't surprise me on my villains...oh well...

Can't wait for I16. Power customization, new sets, and the new difficulty settings.

Earth Assault sounds like fun to me, definitely going to try it out. I will also be soloing missions spawned for 4-5 on my Plant/Psi.

This issue is going to be so much fun.

16. Throw Another Rock: this is a ranged attack which, like Blinding Feint or Follow Up, gives you a small +ToHit, +Dam boost if it connects.

So, all together:

1) Throw a Rock
2) Hit Guy with a Rock

The more I read this..the more shocked I am we didn't get dark assault. Earth melee is so slow...and Dominators need fast attacks to build Domination...hmmm.

Stone melee is very fast. Not as fast as it used to be, but faster overall than /elec melee.

It's hurl boulder that has me concerned.

Also opted for the regular Hurl boulder Animation, since the Propel Boulder animation uses the full 3.5 second long propel animation. Now I may be a huge fan of propel for my grav doms/Trollers, but the thought of having 2 versions of it didn't seem too fun.

Ya, gigantic stone hammers and screen shake = way tougher "feeling" than any other doms.

EE would be a really solid choice though, especially for what sounds like a very melee centric assault set.

Rooted is actually status protection and +regen... of course they've modified powers before, so it's possible they could make rooted work like you state.
[edit: I don't think the mobility penalty would be worth extra regen on a Dom..]

Earth Assault excites me; I can't wait to see the full powerlist.
