How is it for PvE? I've heard that this was primarily used for PvP, but is it good for PvE?
-
Considering how fun incredibly fun my Traps defender is, a Traps controller would be a blast.
And yes, Ill/Traps sounds delicious and I want one now. -
I love Psi anything and enjoy playing a Corr more than a Defender or Blaster, so I'm hoping that we get Psi blast soon.

At 24 she's a blast to play both solo and in teams. It was a rough ride getting from 1-20, but once I got there she took off. I can't wait until I get Phantasm and the other two Rad debuffs.
I just thought I'd share with all of you.

I have a new ill/rad that I'd love to get some levels for. So far she's been pretty boring.
Global is @Border -
Mirror Spirit or Ghost Widow.
Mirror Spirit for her awesome teleport and coat.
Ghost Widow for MOVING HAIR. -
What are some relatively cheap sets that give AoE Defense, then?
Also, I was planning on just doing TFs frequently and then buy some LoTG +Rech with Merits so I can get ML up more often, I have plenty of vacant slots to put them in. I'm not looking to perma it, though. To be honest, I'm fairly pleased with how often it's up right now. -
I'm stuck on what bonuses I should try getting on my Fort now.
With Mind Link I have 50% Melee, 46% Ranged and 38% AoE Defense. I'm wondering if I should slot for AoE Defense so I can soft cap it, or go for recharge so Mind Link will be up more.
Keep in mind that this is just for general soloing, teaming,SFs and the like, nothing hardcore like AV soloing, and that I don't have a ton of inf to throw around(would like to spend ~70 mil, but can spend more if needed). -
Bringing my favorite villains to Blueside. Namely, my Brute and Widow.
I like Villain powersets better than Hero ones, but I like hero content better than villain content. -
Forts make soloing very, very safe. Between two control powers(or 4, if you take them, but they aren't up very often) and huge amounts of Defense you're pretty much untouchable. The only issues I've ever had with mine were some End issues in the mid-20s, and of course EBs one-shotting me because they got lucky.
Fort's are pretty heavy on ST damage, so bosses shouldn't be a problem.
I can't say anything about a Crab, though. I haven't had the patience to get another SoA up to 24 yet. -
I think MA Booster Pack is a pretty cool guy. eh runs like a ninja and doesnt afraid of anything.
-
I have 3, although one is currently inactive.
I use them for a variety of things, like badges(Mayhem Missions in particular), transfers, dual boxing, the list goes on. -
Generally, when I use Creepers, I'm using them as an opener. They do follow you, but they're not going to take most of the alpha from groups if they do, at least in my experience. They seem to pop out a little later when they're "underground".

Quote:I thought so, thanks.Well if you want to know how they perform, they can solo GMs. And if you always use 2, the tougher enemies will just melt under 2 EFs and the constant -res from sonic blast. the only problem I had with mine is that at the lower lvls endurance is an issue. But I suspect with AM being perma-cycled between the two of you, end problems will be less of a problem. With two of you, I would also reccamend getting assault once you can handle the end on it (it is a higer costing toggle than most in the game), because the +30 from 2 assaults, +20 from each AM, and the -res, you will be cranking out damage.
I say go for it, the set will be powerful with or without both of them playing at the same time.
The main reason for my asking was because of how it's pretty underperfroming in lower levels due to massive endurance use. I just wanted to know if it got better. -
I haven't played a Corr in a while and I'd like to know how this combo would perform. I have it on a Defender and it's really nice, so I'm guessing I'd get similar results with a Corr, but I'm not sure. You know, different playstyles and all that.
Keep in mind that I can have two of them on a team at any given time(double boxing or playing with my brother), too. I'm guessing that when they get to SO levels we'd be able to keep AM on us at all times(one uses it,once it runs out the other one uses it, and so on).
So, what do you think of it? -
I tried a few combination and finally stuck with a Traps/Sonic and a Rad/Sonic.
They basically tear through missions without a scratch on them. The only challenge so far has been when my FFG gets destroyed or I forget to resummon it, which can be dangerous.
Since the winter event started today(well, kind of) I decided to see how we'd do against an EB. Before doing it on them, we did it with the two Elec/WP Brutes(who are only level 25), and it was a little tough, we had orange health when we finished off Snaptooth.
The Defenders took him down in less time than the Brutes did, and with way more health. And the Rad/Sonic is only level 6, and the Traps/Sonic is level 24.
Hahahaha this is great -

Quote:Yeah, my SS/WP Brute is pretty awesome against Rikti.I'll cast a vote toward WP. It has energy defense, psi RES, and all around has high HP and regen. WP also has the bonus of being good at just about any other content in the game, too!
But not Romans. She's terrible with Romans. -
Maybe after the Brutes get to a higher level I'll do a Elec/SD duo. Right now, though, I'd like to play something different.
Psi blast sounds fun, but I thought it was terribad outside of PvP?
And what about Rad blast? The only time I've used it was on my Kin/Rad defender, who is dead now. -
Quote:I've always wanted to make a MA/* Scrapper, but I've heard bad things about it. Would it be fun to play in the long run?Any Scrapper and a */Rad, */Kin or */Cold Controller.
Nothing will stop that duo other than Hamidon or the Rikti ship raids.
Also, the two characters don't have to be different ATs. The person I duo with and I just made two Elec/WP Brutes and we're loving it, despite having exact same slotting/power choices. -
Recently I've been playing Redside to death. I've been trying to get into playing Blueside, but I can't find anything good to play.
So, I need your help with picking something to play. I'll be playing in a duo most of the time.
I want to play something that's good at both soloing and teaming and won't make me grind my teeth while I'm leveling them(end issues, really SLOW leveling, etc).
Like I said, I'll be duoing in most of the time, so two ATs that go well together would be nice, but I don't want one of them to be strictly support. -
I do just fine without Fighting. I did pick up Leadership for Tactics, though, along with Combat Jumping, although that was more for mobility than defense.
Also, I chose Mu for my Patron, simply for Power Sink and Power Surge. They're a good "Oh shi" button.
