AE HAS RUIN THE GAMEPLAY OF CoH/CoV!

Ever sence AE has come out, no one does regular missions, or TFs/SFs anymore, can't even get a team to do the new TF/SF that came out today!! The devs need to make a way that AE doesn't become the end of the rest of the game, because that is what is happening on victory atleast... everyone just sits on there butts in AE all day... granted I do missions in AE sometimes, but not ALL DAY!

Still lots of normal teams out there. All my characters seem to get an even mix of team invites for standard content and AE content, on both Guardian and Freedom, red and blue side.

whenever I try to do TFs allI get are "sorry doing AE".... then when I can't get like lets say a brute on the team... people get pissed off and leave the TF/SF and we can't do it, just becuase people don't wana get off their butts and do something other than AE...

I've done the TF twice and the SF once. I've seen teams advertising for them all day. Maybe you should play on a better server?

Post an "I15 Task force" thread, stating when you want to do it (make sure to specify time zone) and sign people up. Make sure you state if you're going for speed, or actually going through and reading dialog and such. (While I'm not sitting in AE, I don't tend to find speed runs all that fun.)

Try joining one of your servers' globals channels, those are generally far better for forming TF/SFs than spamming people with tells.

If you meant 'gameplay' as the level of skill then I would agree, but I seem to still find regular teams & tfs.

Seriously? Do we really need one more damn thread about how much the AE has broken Cox? These are more frequent than farming threads now. We need to get a Dev to make a AE has Broken CoX thread, like they did with farming.

Please, someone lock this thread and the others like it. This is getting ridiculous.

Uh. I dont see people running around doing AE missions. I see people doing those damned Radio missions over and over and over and over again. Honestly I don't mind doing a few when we first get a group going so we can get into the swing of things but I'd loce to do some other missions once and a while.

Part of the problem with the contact missions hero side is that the missions are spread all over the place. I don't mind going back to the contact but I do prefer the majority of a contacts missions to be in teh same zone. Such as with Villain side. Still there are ways to minimize that. Anywho. I want to see more regular missions to but I don't think what we curretnly have is ruining anything.

Actually, part of the problem is there are two extremes with rewards. Either you want exp or you want merits. If you want merits, your only option is to do TFs. If you want exp, your best option is to do AE, or newspapers because they're short and easy and there's no travel time.

People don't do regular story arcs because they're crappy for both exp and merits.

Plus you don't get any merits. You also don't get bonus exp for finishing an arc or for hunt missions.

I still do regular mission arcs for the stories and the fun. I also do a lot of AE, and even radio missions. I've never really seen the need to be one dimensional. Variety is good.
