had nothing to do with DP,typed in title wrong, my bad, he is just saying that it would be a nice NATURAL secondary for blasters, over the past almost 6 years all we have gottenf or secondaries is MM, and it still had powers ported from another power set... They are suggesting that we get a new, more natural/tech secondary that is unique for blasteres.

Also, I tried to make this a more "natural" set with a Rambo feel, so those with Assault Rifles, Dual Pistols, ad Archers could have another option other than Devices.
Not saying Devices is a bad set, but this would be a good option for players who still want some kind of gadgets but don't want to set up mines.
Tactical Gear
1) Knife Throw: Your skills in combat have allowed you to tactically throw a knife at an opponents leg, temporarily immobilizing them
Very Similar to most of the other first powers available in a Blasters Secondary, offering a small immobilization
2) Knife Slash: Some battles will force you in close. You slash at your enemy with your knife causing moderate lethal damage
The first melee attack available. Good for when an enemy gets in too close, or for those who just like to Blap.
3) Taser: The Taser is a basically a stun-gun. This small device releases a high-voltage, low-amperage electrical charge that can Disorient most opponents with minimal damage. The Taser has a very short range.
Basically an exact copy of the Devices version. Figured this would be ok, as clones of other powers are throughout the game. Yes I know it is a skippable power, but every set in the game has something not entirely necessary. Also fits in well with the "Tactical Gear" theme
4) Flash Bang grenade: This grenade explodes in a dazzling flash of light and sound. The targets are so blinded that they can hardly see a thing. Most villains will not be able to see past normal melee range, although some may have better perception. If the villains are attacked, they will be alerted to your presence, but will suffer a penalty to chance to hit.
Visually similar to TA's flash arrow, but i imagine its stats would be to that of smoke grenade
5) Monocle Scanner: Activating the monocle scanner allows you to pin point your enemies weaknesses, effectivly increasing your own to-hit and attack power
This is the power that I believe will make this set stand out from the rest. The idea is that this is a toggle similar to that of Targeting Drone. However, instead of only giving a bonus to your to-hit, this would also give a boost to your overall damage.
To keep this a balanced power, the to-hit bonus would have to be lower than that of Targeting Drone, and the boost to damage would not be nearly as extreme as Build Up... maybe just 40% (again, I'm not a numbers cruncher, but I think that a fair balance could be found)
6) Knife Double Slash: You slash at your enemy twice with your knife. This causes more damage than Knife Slash, yet has a longer activation time
Basically just your second available melee attack
7) Camo Fatigues: Your fatigues allow you to blend in any environment, giving you some stealth and partially raising your defense. This comes at a cost however. To not be spotted, you must move slowly, limiting your movement speed. Even when spotted, you still have some defense (movement penalty stays in effect)
I was thinking that this could be a different version of Cloaking Device. Fatigues blending into different environments is something a soldier would definitely have. The main idea was that this would give a little better defense than cloaking device, however for that defense you will receive that movement penalty
8)Adrenaline Shot: In combat, sometimes you need an extra boost. This emergency adrenaline shot temporarily increases your movement speed, recharge rate, and end recovery
I'm afraid this is most vague power I have an idea for. I havent figured out how big of bonus it actually would be, but think that it would make a decent tier 8 ability
9) Master Knife Throw: You throw your knives in a cone in front of you, hitting your enemies vital organs causing heavy damage.
Your last attack available in this set. No other tier nine has a cone, so this would be a nice change. Because of the heavy damage, the cone could be similar to that of Shiver.
So there you go. I don't know if any of these have been thought of before, but all around could make a decent secondary. Let me know what you guys think!
O ya, all knife damage would just be lethal, and maybe DoT as a secondary (representing the enemy bleeding) -
Jump kick isn't ALL bad, atleast it gives you a garenteed knockdown, just the animation is lame as hell. But is a good power to use if your a tanker or scrapper that needs some more utility to your fights. But yeah, flurry blows, good as a stun, but it is one of the worst powers in the game, IMHO

I like this. Seems to fit naturals very well, the redraw would be, meh, but most people would get over it, and would add a brand new concept of playing a blaster in the game. Pluss I just love the idea of throwing knives at people!

you want an AoE beast, pick Archery/Mental, done and done, one of the most powerful AoE blasters there is. It murderes mobs withing seconds and you have 2 nukes that take almost no time at all to recharge if you slot and have IOs that give you mjaor recharge. Massive amouts of dmg as well. I make fire blasters cry when they see me nuke mobs in a matter of seconds, and still have plenty of end to spare.

you don't need CJ SJ or SS...
your a blaster get hover and fly! it is slower yes, but safer and you can get an extra power that would help you out more to -
I am looking for some blasters that would be crazzy enough to do this with me!
Things you need for the TF:
1. Get Shivans! They will help do the last mish alot faster!
2. Get at least two of the nukes from warburg, if not all 3!
3. Try to get Heavies from RWZ and RV if you can, they will help alot to.
4. Try to get warewolves from oro if you can to.
5. Get Phase from warburg as well
Team set up:
Archery/Energy/Force blaster
I need atleatst 2 /mental blasters and a few blasters with leadership to!
I would alos like to have atleast 2 fire blasters, a sonic blaster or 2.a psi blaster an ice/ice blaster
The time of the TF will start at 300 pm (central)
This is not a Master run!

ok I wana run an all blaster STF with my archery/energy blaster tomorrow... anyone got any good team builds taht would help do this TF? was planning on everyone haveing shivans and atleast the debuff nuke and the DMG nuke from warburg before we do this TF. Not going to be a Master Run.
So anyone got any sugestions/ideas? -
I am wanting to do an all blaster STF on victory with my Archery/energy blaster the only problems I have is-
1. How to take out Aeon.
and
2. How to take out Ghost Widow?

I am finishing up my dark/rad def, most fun I have had with a toon sience archery came out for blaters. Major Debuffer, great dmg, for a defender anyways, and just pure awsomeness when I make a rad defender cry.

I created a dark/rad about 2 weeks ago, and he is almost lvl 50, lvl 46 now, and I was seeing if anyone could help me out with a build for him, like for IOs and slotting and all that stuff. He has all but the Black Hole for the dark powers, and all but the cone attack, and the nova attack from the blast set. Could anyone help me make a good build with no Purples please, or maybe just purple procs at the most, no full on purples please, not going to be a full on main toon, got 2 toons purpled out on both their builds and takes to damn long to purple out another.

Dark Blast is cool! You get to do -to hit debuffs with the powers, and it does pretty good dmg, as well as a bit of soft control.

I want dark blast damn it!!! Dark blast is an awsome set, I still can't see why it can't be a blast set for blasters yet!! Yeah, they are going to need to do the -to hit debuff on it, but still!

I think Dual Pistols should be like claws in that the attacks do mostly moderate damage, but use little endurance and have fast cast times and recharge. I think they should get a combo system like Dual Blades to make it more interesting instead of just another lethal damage set. Here's my idea.
I think a combo sysytem for Dual Pistols should only have two attacks per combo. This would accomplish many things. For one, it would make it very easy to give the set at least 8 different combos. With eight combos and eight different effects, you could really customize your playstyle just by controlling the order of your attack chain. At the same time, players who don't want to be bothered by a combo system could just fire away randomly and still get plenty of combo effects.
I'd say make a combo for fire damage, toxic damage, chance for double lethal damage, -def, slow, stun, KB, and build up. With all these options you could really do whatever you want. Consentrate on control, or max damage, or a mix of both.
I listed eight effects because I think the best way to do this would be to have eight attacks, each one equals an effect, no matter what the following attack is you'd always get the combo effect from the first attack. For example...
Attack A = KB
Attack B = Slow effect
Attack C = Toxic DoT
Attack D = Build Up
Attack E = Defense Debuff
Attack F = Fire DoT
Attack G = Stun
Attack H = Chance for Critical Hit
This way, you can always lead with the attacks that have the combo effects you want while using the attacks with unwanted effects as your second filler attack. Your attack chain doesn't have to be the same cookie cutter chain everytime to get the effects you want.
You would also be able to choose a second attack based on what you want to do. If you want to slow an entire mob you'd lead with Attack B (slow effect) followed by a cone or AOE attack. If your fighting a boss you might lead with attack D (chance for build up) or H (chance for crit)followed by a quick animating single target attack to max your single target DPS.
Just my thoughts. I'm sure it would need tweaked, but it should would be fesh and unique....and fun.

Maybe a bit over powered but I LOVE THIS IDEA!!! This way, it is a different playstyle set, like DB is, gives you an interesting way to play, can do all sorts of different types of attack chains with this, and it would just be kick [censored]! -
I am expecting ice,fire,dark and leathal for attacks wish I knew what kind of demons we are dealing with, that would help alot...

I like this idea, gives us something new to try out, and would be very very cool to have all the combos as a blaster... like a Mega combo that will stun them, and then the final attack would be you run in the middile of the mob and take them out dantie style! -

Look here is the point of it... you need to have atleast one toon you did all the work for yourself, that meens doing TFs, doing regular missions, PLAYING THE GAME LIKE IT WAS MENT TO BE PLAYED! If you got alot of 50s, go ahead and farm if you know what the powers do and know what to do with them. I am just saying that the devs need to make it to where people won't spend a major part of the game just doing AE all the time.... I play on victory, a friendly but not so easy shard to find teams on like, say freedom. I just get sick of people that want to do nothing but AE farm all the time. I am good at finding teams, hell I tanked a majority of the TFs in the game with much ease and know what to do on all of them, but for people that just want to do nothing but AE all th time, it gets old! I tried to get the new Vill TF forming and that one you need to ahve a pretty balanced team, atleast one of everything on it, for each of the debuffs and a load of dmg... I couldn't find a good tanking brute, such as a stone, wp or invul... and finnally the team left becuase all the brutes were in AE!!
I am not saying that AE is bad, that isn't it, I love it, but there is MORE to the game than just AE, that is what people need to understand, and some of you I1-I4 people should agree with me on this, becuase I am not the only person from that era that agrees what AE has done for this game! I remeber when LotG 7.5% were about 20-30 mill... now they are over 100mill where I am. People are farming more in AE which have made the prices for everything skyrocket. If people went back to doing regular missions and TFs and got the markets under control again the whole game would be easier on everyone.
Oh and I do use the global channels to find teams as well, and most of them do AE so it doesn't work most of the time. -
I have a thug/dark MM, and I am looking to make a new one, I would like some imput on some nice mix that are not seen regulary but are very very strong. And would like no thug or darks in the mix... any suggestion oh and no PD either, I like to help the team with debuffs and stuff to.

whenever I try to do TFs allI get are "sorry doing AE".... then when I can't get like lets say a brute on the team... people get pissed off and leave the TF/SF and we can't do it, just becuase people don't wana get off their butts and do something other than AE...
