New pistol Idea
1. This has nothing to do with pistols.
2. There is no point to this thread. The OP already posted this in another forum
had nothing to do with DP,typed in title wrong, my bad, he is just saying that it would be a nice NATURAL secondary for blasters, over the past almost 6 years all we have gottenf or secondaries is MM, and it still had powers ported from another power set... They are suggesting that we get a new, more natural/tech secondary that is unique for blasteres.
Far tooo similar to Devices, and half the powers seem to rely on the user having a certain costume piece on them (i.e. Monocle Scanner).

Note: I am not a numbers cruncher, so forgive me if this seems a little off balanced. Any supportive criticism would be great!
Also, I tried to make this a more "natural" set with a Rambo feel, so those with Assault Rifles, Dual Pistols, ad Archers could have another option other than Devices.
Not saying Devices is a bad set, but this would be a good option for players who still want some kind of gadgets but don't want to set up mines.
Tactical Gear
1) Knife Throw: Your skills in combat have allowed you to tactically throw a knife at an opponents leg, temporarily immobilizing them
Very Similar to most of the other first powers available in a Blasters Secondary, offering a small immobilization
2) Knife Slash: Some battles will force you in close. You slash at your enemy with your knife causing moderate lethal damage
The first melee attack available. Good for when an enemy gets in too close, or for those who just like to Blap.
3) Taser: The Taser is a basically a stun-gun. This small device releases a high-voltage, low-amperage electrical charge that can Disorient most opponents with minimal damage. The Taser has a very short range.
Basically an exact copy of the Devices version. Figured this would be ok, as clones of other powers are throughout the game. Yes I know it is a skippable power, but every set in the game has something not entirely necessary. Also fits in well with the "Tactical Gear" theme
4) Flash Bang grenade: This grenade explodes in a dazzling flash of light and sound. The targets are so blinded that they can hardly see a thing. Most villains will not be able to see past normal melee range, although some may have better perception. If the villains are attacked, they will be alerted to your presence, but will suffer a penalty to chance to hit.
Visually similar to TA's flash arrow, but i imagine its stats would be to that of smoke grenade
5) Monocle Scanner: Activating the monocle scanner allows you to pin point your enemies weaknesses, effectivly increasing your own to-hit and attack power
This is the power that I believe will make this set stand out from the rest. The idea is that this is a toggle similar to that of Targeting Drone. However, instead of only giving a bonus to your to-hit, this would also give a boost to your overall damage.
To keep this a balanced power, the to-hit bonus would have to be lower than that of Targeting Drone, and the boost to damage would not be nearly as extreme as Build Up... maybe just 40% (again, I'm not a numbers cruncher, but I think that a fair balance could be found)
6) Knife Double Slash: You slash at your enemy twice with your knife. This causes more damage than Knife Slash, yet has a longer activation time
Basically just your second available melee attack
7) Camo Fatigues: Your fatigues allow you to blend in any environment, giving you some stealth and partially raising your defense. This comes at a cost however. To not be spotted, you must move slowly, limiting your movement speed. Even when spotted, you still have some defense (movement penalty stays in effect)
I was thinking that this could be a different version of Cloaking Device. Fatigues blending into different environments is something a soldier would definitely have. The main idea was that this would give a little better defense than cloaking device, however for that defense you will receive that movement penalty
8)Adrenaline Shot: In combat, sometimes you need an extra boost. This emergency adrenaline shot temporarily increases your movement speed, recharge rate, and end recovery
I'm afraid this is most vague power I have an idea for. I havent figured out how big of bonus it actually would be, but think that it would make a decent tier 8 ability
9) Master Knife Throw: You throw your knives in a cone in front of you, hitting your enemies vital organs causing heavy damage.
Your last attack available in this set. No other tier nine has a cone, so this would be a nice change. Because of the heavy damage, the cone could be similar to that of Shiver.
So there you go. I don't know if any of these have been thought of before, but all around could make a decent secondary. Let me know what you guys think!
O ya, all knife damage would just be lethal, and maybe DoT as a secondary (representing the enemy bleeding)
