Gone to the Americans!
Tech Support Rule #1 - They will lie to you. Usually intentionally.
This has got to be the biggest waste of developer time ever. I would rather have them fix bugs and address longstanding problems. I don't really see the thrill in changing the color of the same power animation, yawn.
<QR>
Ya know, they DID change a lot of animations and made a bunch of them similar in duration to each other a while back.
speculation
Maybe normalizing the animation times for several different powers was needed in order for them to even have a glimmer of a chance at giving us the ability to change the animations for some powers without being overly beneficial for some powers and being harmful to others.
/speculation
We'll see when i16 hits just what we get. And just because we MAY NOT get the ability to change animations in i16, doesn't mean we might not get it somewhere down the road.

First, whether or not YOU care, an awful lot of people DO care and have been asking for it for a long time. Second, bugfixes are something done on a continuous basis, not as a special issue. And an issue dedicated to bugfixing would anger most of the playerbase, and leave many of the devs idle anyway.

Which'll also trigger lots of 'you fixed THAT but not THIS?' complaints.

Also - color changing is coming *before* Going Rogue, as in the next issue (Issue 16).
Going Rogue is *not* Issue 16, per Positron. (Linky).
[/ QUOTE ]
Not really. Going Rogue is *not* an issue, it is an expansion. So Going rogue would come in between issues whether it be between i15 and 16 or i16 and 17 or further down the line..
[/ QUOTE ]
Technically, don't all issues come between other issues?

Issue 1?! Or is launch "issue 0"?!?! ZOMG

Also: Confirmation that issues will never end! Issues will continue for all eternity so that no issue is the "last" issue!
Dispari has more than enough credability, and certainly doesn't need to borrow any from you.

Not true.. City of Villians was both an issue and an expansion, though you could not use the issue unless you had purchased the expansion. But now that you don't need both CoH and CoV it can now considered as a true issue, which means that the Going Rogue will be an expansion as well as an issue which won't be required to play unless you purchase it and my eyes just crossed.
more impressive yet is the fact that we are currently on Version 18 of CoH yet are only on Issue 14, where did the other 4 issues disappear too........
And don't give the excuse of COV was so big it required multiple builds. not good enough, I require more content cause after 5 years of playing I should just get more because I want it.
so there.

Issue 6 was Along Came A Spider. More info on ParagonWiki.
No mention at all of being able to be a villain or go to the Rogue Isles. City of Villains was completely separate from Issue 6, and was released 4 days after Issue 6 went live.

I still like this idea of choosing the color of your power. i feel that would really help a lot. Please I am begging anybody to please think about. At least try it.
i hope so that is the best idea i swear it is

Now THAT is a great power customization idea!!!!
I Wants it!
.
Issue 6 was meant to make the existing game compatible with City of Villains, and so players wouldn't be downloading a massive update that they wouldn't even be able to use if they didn't have the expansion. I assume there will be an issue released alongside Going Rogue that, while separate, will compliment GR.
It would be nice to be able to play with graphic scale and intensity, maybe on a slider and nothing to wacky, but just to nuance our mastering of our skills. Nothing in terms of models and such (weps) but things like gravity or even regen seem less than ridiculous candidates for this option.
*edit* scale meaning, 1 = tight to model body, max = 5x larger. Intensity meaning opacity, maybe 1x more saturated, to 5x less.

I think this round it will be color customization, however with color customization down, that means they've figured out some of the hard parts about power customization (from what I remember about BAB's FAQ from a while back) and they should be able to put in the other stuff in there a lot more easily down the road.
[/ QUOTE ]
I remember the same. However doing full animations for all body types and situations takes a lot of time.
Eventually they will be faced with the choice of a new power set or a new set of animations? Remember different people work on the animations (art monkeys) vs those that work on the code (code monkeys). This limits what they can do in either direction. Lots of animations means someone else is sitting on their hands.
So even when they do do this I wouldn't expect 5 different animation choices for every power out of the gate whenever they do it.

You can't please everyone, so lets concentrate on me.
