This is a repost of one of my comments from another thread that I think works well for this one as well:

I do agree with what you said, but I will repost something here as well that I posted in another thread...

Ya know, they DID change a lot of animations and made a bunch of them similar in duration to each other a while back.
speculation
Maybe normalizing the animation times for several different powers was needed in order for them to even have a glimmer of a chance at giving us the ability to change the animations for some powers without being overly beneficial for some powers and being harmful to others.
/speculation
We'll see when i16 hits just what we get. And just because we MAY NOT get the ability to change animations in i16, doesn't mean we might not get it somewhere down the road.

I think (if indeed we do end up getting the ability to change animations) we MAY be given a choice of animations to chose from based on what power we're wanting to customize. Meaning that we would have to pick from animations of similar length and not pick, say, the animation for Energy Punch to take the place of Shadow Maul.
I also agree it's too early to get our hopes up that the coming customization is anything more than simply colorization. More will be great, but anything is more than we have now, so I won't complain. -

I'm gonna bet against any new AT's in Going Rogue. Not because I don't want any, just because I'm not going to get my hopes up only to have them dashed.
It is possible that Going Rogue could have the Spy AT included. I just won't get my hopes up until AFTER we get more details on GR. Which considering i16 info is due sometime before the end of July, info on GR could be a LOOOONG way off.
Much like the really big hint that Posi dropped about power customization not being in Going Rogue, but in i16. If it even turns out that it IS power customization.
If all power customization ends up being is the ability to change the colors of our primary and secondary powers, I'll be plenty happy with that.
If we can change the colors of individual powers, great, that's a huge bonus. An even bigger bonus would be if we could change the animations or our powers as well. But I am not counting on that.
Err on the side of caution and you (hopefully) won't be disappointed.

Interesting. I have toons that have been logged out on Freedom for 30+ days and when I log them back in, I have no spam e-mails.
Matter of fact, I get so few e-mails that I simply had to see what this thread was about simply because I'd almost forgotten there IS an in-game e-mail system.
Of course one of the very first things I do when I make a new toon is to /hide from everything but global, friends and SG lists. So, when the bloody RMT'ers are searching for victims, I'm simply not listed.
(If I wanna team, I have never had a problem getting them through global channels or simply sending tells to players asking for teammates.) -

$6 to save a 100k file? No thanks.

Gotta go along with this. I don't mind them selling more story slots, but the price is WAY too high. I'd maybe pay $5 for like 10 extra slots, anything more than that is a little ridiculous.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is actually the price scheme suggested by the players who suggested purchasable slots initially... but hey, short memory is short, and entitlement is the word of the day around here so no shock.

Not sure if you were responding to me ($5 for 10 slots) or the other person ($6 for 1 slot).
I never saw any threads where players said how much they'd be willing to spend for more MA story slots. I'm not saying they don't exist, I'm just saying that I've never seen them. Probably because I'm one of those people who could care less about the MA system at this point, as far as from a creative aspect.
I enjoy some of the MArcs that players have made and have tried to make some of my own. I just see that I am one of those people who, while I may have good ideas, can't seem to make my thoughts translate to the MA as well as I'd hoped. I keep trying but after testing my creations I realize that they just aren't all that great. And they are about as "polished" as I can make them.
So be glad at least that some of us (or maybe just me) realize our failings and have decided to forgo clogging the MA system with (at best) mediocre storylines.
So for me, paying for additional story slots is not only not going to happen because I think they are extremely overpriced, but because I wouldn't likely ever take advantage of them.
Whether the pricing scheme is good or bad will ultimately be left to the players. If they think the price is fair and they want the extra slots, they will pay for them. If they don't, they won't.
Beauty (value, in this case) is in the eye of the beholder.
Edit: I do keep trying to create a "better" MArc, so maybe at some point I may create that arc, or even 3, that I feel are good enough to publish for everyone to see and would actually NEED the extra slots if the ideas kept rolling in. I still feel that the pricing is too expensive and would NOT buy extra slots, but that's just me. -

There are quite a few Doms I will be rolling with these changes coming. It just won't be in i15, it'll have to be after Going Rogue. I've grown extremely tired of the Villain content, but that is a debate for another thread.
I can easily see myself rolling up a fire/fire, grav/nrg, mind/psi, plant/thorn and an earth/elec Dom. Mix and match a few powersets and I can't see myself running out of Doms anytime soon. -

I'd like to have a normal option for blasters besides Devices so I would love to see Martial Arts get proliferation to being a blaster secondary. I think it could be a nice compliment for those primary powers that don't have "matching" secondaries like AR and sonic. The powers night have to be tweaked a little but I know it could work.

This would be sweet and very much along the lines I've been thinking. It would allow those people who want Pistols to also have their melee as well.
I doubt many people would frown upon a Pistol/MA blaster as a decent way to make a John Preston clone/homage. Then again people can be fickle.
