New Level Pact Squad to face the Toughest in CoH

I plan on making another ludicrous team of insanely powerful villains again on Freedom. If there are enough people willing and I get a big pile of money I'm willing to level pact them all. This thread here had all the old info.

I want challenge. I want difficulty. I want to fight the hardest and most ridiculous mission possible. I want all the forces of City of Heroes allied against and then I want to take my army and steam roll them in ludicrous fashion. I don't want to exploit. I want to use intelligence, skill, talent, planning coordination and a love for all things that consist of outrageous fast paced explosive action.

In order to succeed at my goal I want to do the most ludicrously high risk high reward mission I am allowed to do. I plan on being near the top of whatever charts, graphs, data, or whatever that shows them "who's getting the most experience per hour." I plan on being near the top while fighting the most difficult enemies the Developers have created for me to fight.

So my plan is to once again reroll my Thug/Storm army. Perhaps I'll mix in some other toons but the main backbone will be Thug/Storm Mastrmind. I'll be making 5 or 6 toons myself. Then I plan on inviting other players of similar level as my Mastermind's to the team. I plan on rolling with 8 players on the team at all times. First we will be doing Developer Choice arcs. We will do this until I hit level 16 and have Freezing Rain. Once I have Freezing Rain we will move to a custom series of mission in Mission Architect with the theme of "The world's most dangerous enemies allied against us."

We will face an arc full of the most difficult Bosses the developers have created. Examples of such enemies: Fame Nemesis, Gunslinger bosses, Master Illusionists, Vanguard Sorcerers, Tarantula Queens, Ring Mistresses, Rikti Mentalists etc. Each mission will have its own theme and its own singular boss. Thus, the first map might have me fighting Hordes of Fake Nemesis. Then the second map might have me face piles of Ring Mistresses. I plan on taking a world tour of "City of Heroes toughest bosses". I am open to suggestions of other insanely difficult bosses. Then I will bring in my army and absolutely maul the enemies in a fashion many would not believe possible. Our risk will be insanely high and the reward we receive for defeating said foes will incredibly high as well. We will fly through the levels at incredible speed due to the difficulty of the enemies we fight.

I am sure that the NCSoft employees would kindly notify me if such plans are for some reason deemed "not allowed". I am also sure that NCSoft employees would be able to kindly explain to me exactly what part of my plan needs to be corrected. I WILL be fighting the most difficult City of Heroes has to offer me. I will be crushing those enemies in ruthless fashion and I will be receiving an incredible reward for doing so. It's just a matter of determing how high I'm allowed to turn up the difficulty.

If you are interested in possibly level pacting to my toons, or rolling specific archetypes/builds/characters to join me in my quest please let me know. I will begin determining appropriate pricing for level pacting to these toons once I feel ready to defeat the most difficult City of Heroes has to offer.

You, Mr. Bunny are crazy.

I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

Oh and you need to fight a map full of sappers/gunslingers

I would love to join you smurphy. As for difficult missions, I think I got one for you. It may be a bug though, so I need to hear back if it is or not.

Any maps with alot of defendable objects will be very very hard. I'll be on a little later tonight, I'll send you a tell to your @ name with a couple arcs I enjoy running.

So if a lieutenant-only map is harder, but gives less, than a boss-only map... would ya do it?

I'm thinking that Nemesis all-lieuts would be tougher than all-bosses.

On the original topic, I'm thinking that mixed bosses might be harder. The proverbial Rularuu Mix is pretty ugly.

Are you taking applications for custom groups of badguys?

Mini-guides: Force Field Defenders, Blasters, Market Self-Defense, Frankenslotting.

So you think you're a hero, huh.
@Boltcutter in game.

k.

Sorry, should elaborate.
A lot of the regular mobs are cakewalks, even moreso with /Storm secondary combined with Thugs.

Have you considered a JoJo challenge? Do some crazy custom mob missions. Set everything to Extreme with some EBs thrown in.
Try weird combinations. I know /Ninjutsu was borked for a while but they might have fixed it. Look to making the mobs in your missions all set to Extreme/Extreme and combine annoying powersets.

This seems like it would be fun but I'm not one for high-pop servers generally. Let us know how it worked out though.

Questions about the game, either side? /t @Neuronia or @Neuronium, with your queries!
168760: A Death in the Gish. 3 missions, 1-14. Easy to solo.

Champion, Pinnacle, Virtue Heroes

I look foward to reading more about this, and placing my bid.

I can't really fathom spending Inf to pact a toon off my home server. But I might be interested in rolling something truly bizarre if this is happening on a day I'm available.

Post a schedule, and I'll let you know if I'm in.

I will also start a second team with the opposite approach.

I'm going to make a pile of level 1s and level pact them to people. Then I'm going to take my absolutely ridiculous SS/Fire Brute and my Fire/Kin Corruptor and go into all boss maps of enemies who do pure fire damage. I think I can get my level 1s to level 50 in under 10 hours despite being level pacted to logged out toons.

I'm also sure with this approach that NCSoft employees would be willing to kindly explain to me if this behavior is "not allowed." If this behavior is "not allowed" I am sure that these employees would be willing to kindly explain to me exactly which parts of my plan are "not allowed" so that I may adjust my behavior so that I may act in an "allowed" manner.

Yes, because "NcSoft employees" have nothing better to do than to scan the message boards looking for events to approve or disapprove of.

Wow, this is just such an amazing point you are demonstrating.

Though if you are using MA for this, and you really want the "toughest" challange, shouldn't you let users design custom bosses for you?

If the point is that you are going to only face Dev created enemies, then why do it in MA, those enemies exist in the regular game and the missions containing them can be reset just as before MA came along.

So if this is to prove something about fighting the hardest enemies in MA and still being to level at faster than normal speeds, I think the proper challange would be to fight the actual toughest enemies in the game, which are not the ones the Devs have created. (or may be some mix of Dev created and custom)

I'll open the bidding for creating a mission for you to level up through in this manner at 250mil Infamy. You pick the map (so you can have your great big farming map), I design the critters, all leveling has to be done through that map.

Then we'll see if we need any NcSoft employees to slow you down.

Well done.

Its pretty obvious they don't live by their rules and this is the kind of confrontation that will expose it. If the characters do manage to achieve a spectacular leveling speed they will no doubt ban them you simply for forcing them into a bad position

Wow, this sounds really awesome, and just the challenge I've been looking for.

I'm up for making a toon for the steamroll team. Just need more info and a suggestion on what powerset you might need and I'm good to go!

Dang, I would sworn that there were in fact, just some such NCsoft employees to do precisely that very thing...

Oh yea, I remember they're called Mods! *wave*

And in this case, considering they've been all over this sorta thing lately, I'm thinking they would (presumably) read the post/thread - think about it for a second, then *grimace* & possibly /facepalm or /facedesk a couple times.

After that I see them sending a PM, IM, tweat (or whatever) to the appropriate person and/or persons - that will probably be none to pleased with the question posed by this hypothesis.

Or would that be classified as a theory(?) or maybe conjecture... I really don't know? But I wouldn't want to have to answer a question like that - or especially have it hanging over my head this weekend, then possibly have to debate it in the office on Monday or Tuesday = whenever.

I say that because (in theory) something like this could set a "precedent" of sorts, maybe? That really appears to be the goal here (IMHO)...

Props to the Bunny, for an exceptionally clever "stump the Devs" question - Trying to clear away some of the whole wishy-washy B.S. of "if it feels like an exploit don't do it OR they'll either:
1. Pretend to ignore the situation unless or until you tell everyone about it in broadcast & all over the forums.
2. Slap your hand (with a temp ban, or something) = to be determined later - after the fact.
3. 'Pimp-slap' you, your characters, and possibly banning your account(s) into the next room! (or maybe the next game as it were).

Honestly, I stayed away from all the controversial AE stuff and spent a decent chunk of my play-time buying some of the drastically reduced "clearance sale priced" recipes or placing lowball bids for them (and I was pleasantly surprised by some of the bargains I successful snagged ). It was also a pretty sweet time to be selling certain stuffz as well.

And I would never have thought they'd suddenly go all aggro on Level-Pacts - after they've been around in the game now for a fairly decent period of time - that sorta seemed to come outta nowhere...

You've really outdone yourself on this time Smurphy - but its almost an altruistic move there... careful or someone might revoke your "ebil ghetto pass"!

Edited for clarity

I think they will just delete the thread. Lot of that going on lately.

On the bright side, the Marketers don't send fruit baskets, so no red names come here.

If you think that the Mods sit and read every thread then you are way, way, way off base.

They are probably overwhelmed just trying to keep up with the threads that someone has notified them about or cleaning up the tears that threaten to drown the offical threads on the subject.

nice try though.

No, please I beg you, show me the error of my ways.

I mean, all I said was that Mods don't sit there reading every single thread. It doesn't happen. It isn't possible.

Go ahead now, make up some positions that you think I'm staking out. Because my contention in what you quoted above is that the whole concept of a thread just randomly being read by an NcSoft employee that will then notify the OP that their plan is or isn't o.k. with them, is just about as dumb as an assertion as you can make.

Of course, because I don't agree with you, you'll try to paint my position as being something else or try to insinuate that because I don't agree with you that it means I am just agreeing with the Devs to curry their favor. Which is a whole different league of stupid not just the kind of stupid that this thread is.

But please... do continue, you've just been a fount of wisdom regarding ths topic over the last few weeks, I'm sure I could learn so much. If only I would agree with you instead of thinking for myself.

Good luck.
