Thanks for this Manoa I was just going to put mine up, I am kinda tired of fighting for this and getting ripped to shreds for it so i think I am done with the boards. I'll just be checking for pm's at this point. Best part of this game was landing on Justice and playing with the best people in this game. Butting heads with people on other areas of the forum has only made this more clear to me. I really got lucky being here (i owe frog for that big time).

All that aside, while it'd be nice if there was a way to help foster communication between the Powers That Be and the player base, I'd personally vote for folks who really are more into the nuts and bolts and numbers and community - like Arcanaville, MIDS, Leandro, etc, rather than myself. Alty I know you to be a nice person and a friend of Smurphys did you try to look past anything about Iggy and read what LHF wrote? Have you poked your head into Smurphys thread on the Market section which he started when i told him what was going on? If so then ignore what i say and continue on I just hate to see someone blindly ignore another based on him referencing someone you have on ignore (probably allot of people have on ignore).

Just a quick note about why Posi is mentioned. He became the "face" of this with his two posts. Regardless of who actually makes those decisions the fact that he posted them put it on him. All anyone wants is a statement regarding this past weeks fiasco and the poor handling of it and some CS changes. Yeah mistakes happen fess up and let us regain trust and mutual respect. (which actually will take time to rebuild sadly)

Way to treat customers like children, many of us aren't and opps we get to take our money elsewhere. Good way to run a business that is based on profit.

Since the complaint has to do with customer service and a semblance of respect for their player base (customers) i am not sure how your analogy works there. But as Smoke said it's your right to have that opinion and while i have not be able to speak mine recently I value when others express theirs.

I would suggest you visit Infinity, and Virtue forums for an idea of how many are leaving. My guess is about 1% of subscribers have unsubed this week alone, since many who are leaving have multiple accounts.

TY for looking and seeing it wasn't my intention. I needed to listen to it because i found the bar graphs a bit confusing as to their set up. I wasn't sure if they were stacked meaning that the little teany bit of "other" which was where cov was that was ontop actual meant that it was just that much more above everything below it. The bar graphs i am used to seeing in science papers are set up differently so it was a bit hard to understand it. I found the more vocal description to be more helpful. I have a science background and no experience with business issues outside of big Pharma.

Edited to include : I never considered you to be one of the "whiner callers" your critiques were always well thought out and seemed to try to convey reason.

I've always wondered peoples thoughts on this.

See, this is where I have a problem with you Philly, see this thread was started innocently enough asking about subscription numbers and since the numbers are no longer being made available for any NCSoft game including their bread and butter Lineage series (and looking back at NCSoft's quarterly and annual reports it looks that they never really reported number of subscriptions, just maximum concurrent users and total number of unique accounts that logged on during that quarter) I came up with a guesstimate. Now instead of turning into the usual DOOM thread about subscription numbers you popped in with the intention of getting this thread locked or deleted while your "heroically" martyr yourself in the name of truth, taking down innocent threads in the process.

Now I spent a while last night catching up on the last couple hundred posts in the MA 2 thread so I now understand the ire that many people feel. However if you know that the mods are locking and deleting threads about that topic, as per their mandate according to the forum rules from day 1 of the forum, thread jacking to "spread the word" before those threads too are deleted is a bit disingenuous to OPs with legitimate questions. A simple link to the first post about the level pact screw-up in the now locked MA 2 thread should be enough to spread the word without it turning into yet another debate how it's the devs fault that people shot themselves because they they left a box of loaded guns in the room with "do not touch" written on the side.

Am I upset with what seemed to have happened, now that I know about it. Yes, it's a screw up of monumental size, much like the low NYC flyover of AF1 simply to update some file photos. The problem is while the ability to send out mass 3 day bans and resetting characters to 0 XP is an easy and automatic process, recovering character data is not. The CS staff isn't large enough to handle the influx of wronged players and the data recovery infrastructure for recovering player data isn't either. The bans are over regardless and the wronged are being handled, slowly.

But going around to other threads, especially in the Player Questions area and thread jacking them with the hope it'll get deleted is simply wrong.

Actually go back to the first page and read my very first post. I came into this post with a very valid reason and valid questions. Unlike the others who immediately called me a whiner i went to each of the sites mentioned and looked at the data. I even listened to the stockholder meeting did you? I had no intention of jacking this thread. I had valid questions and a valid point until i got told otherwise. Yes i will defend myself. I do commend you for actually going and informing yourself however so that you at least know what i am talking about. For that TY. I did get interesting info from this post and if you listen and look linage 2 and aion are the main part of that meeting.

I would suggest, instead, creating a thread in the Suggestion and Ideas forums, then. Where you discuss this policy change.

As it stands you knowingly violate the EULA in a thread that has nothing to do with the issue being discussed. This can and possibly will cause -this- thread to be locked. Far better to openly request a change to policy in the appropriate forum.

As for Gear_Freak. You're proving yourself to be nothing more than one of the many Tweens who fought in the great Console Wars against Sega or Nintendo. You have a moment's pity from me, and then hope that you'll grow out of it.

And Angel? What is right is protecting their jobs, their livelihood, and their families. If this game shuts down that's one massive moneymaker they will not have. 'Right' is, sadly, subjective to the person in questions knowledge of the situation or inference upon.

I'm not directing this at anyone. This is not a negative or cruel thing. I simply wish to ask if Critical Thinking is no longer a part of mainstream curriculum? It was something drilled into my head for the entirety of elementary school. But I did notice that it seemed to drop off in High School. Did they remove it completely?

I didn't argue that i have no freedom of speech hear. I am fully aware of the EULA as i have expressed in many other posts perhaps you should read better. Laxx said look up the definition and i did. See into it what you want I merely posted what Freedom of Speech is for a reference. I will say it again although i have said it before I KNOW I am violating the EULA so get over that argument.
