Mr. Minden. I was stunned upon hearing the news that you'd resigned. Trying to keep the forums up and running, the community informed and appeased, and all of the other things you were responsible for is not an easy task, so I've always had a deep appreciation for anyone willing to take on that challenge. To me you always seemed to have a cool head and genuine concern for the community and their personal issues, even when they were driving us a bit nutty.

You're the first person to choose to part ways with us since we were folded into NCSofts arms a little over a year ago. Rationally, I know that losing people is inevetable, but deep down inside there was some small part that our team, this game, and this community was so awesome that anyone lucky enough to join us would never even think about leaving.

Plus, you were foolish enough to give me and Jay a redname. Just thinking about his inuagral post still cracks me up.

I refuse to use 'future endeavors', so I'll just wish you the best of luck in whatever it is you decide to do. I can only hope that we're able to find a replacement with as much passion for this community as you and your predecessors have shown before the groundlings devour us all.

I am just having a hard time buying into this.

There was clearly a disconnect between LH and the other rednames or he would never have been forced to post his PVP retraction statement. Yes, I do believe he was forced and this departure is no coincidence.

If I had to guess I would say that NorCal is in a bit of upheaval right now over the direction the game is taking and we, as a community, are going to suffer from its implosion.

No!!! Lighthouse is leaving yet another game I play. I first knew him as samhayne the producer for planetside and he was also very friendly with the community there.

Sorry to see you going again Alex. When I found out you were the CRM for coh I figured I'd give the game a shot so you kinda recruited a customer to the game without knowing it lol.

Then you're a fool. There's no mistaking the fact that people change jobs regularly, and there's absolutely no need to politicize someone's announcement of resignation as "DOOOOOOM!" There are plenty of Devs in good standing who were able to post their farewells upon resignation including CuppaJo, Alexa, and Gilgamesh. And those who weren't in good standing just left quietly.

I'm sorry, but there's no earthshattering scandal to be found here other than LH is moving on to new opportunities (and now's a good a time as any as new opportunities arise across the nation). I'm sure there was internal communication regarding LH's departure and BAB's was just joining in the public forum's lament.

Now please, be civil and acknowledge LH's resignation with generosity and respect rather than turn it into a JFK MMO conspiracy worthy of the National Enquirer...

Something similar like this happened with Alex when he was the producer of planetside. And they used communist censorship on his good bye post and some other posts before that.

Only he knows the true story here but it was blatantly obvious there.
