My niece was considering it, but she decided to dress up as Ms. Liberty instead. 
Given that my main character right now is an atheletic looking, spiky red-haired, male electric brute, so yeah the prospect of even trying it is frightening to say the least. Even for my other characters, the female ones, I don't think I'd want to go there.
Will the VIP passes be available during preview night? I find it so much easier to get around during that event. Great idea...looking forward to the festivities!

July 23-July 27th members of the City of Heroes team will be at Comic Con to share in the fun. Stop by the NCsoft booth # 5209 to meet up with Lighthouse, Ex Libris, and Blue Steel from the City of Heroes & City of Villains team.
Be sure to ask for your Pocket D VIP Pass *** to gain access to the Pocket D Jubilee** event scheduled for Saturday July 26th. The VIP Pass will also unlock a special in game item that was selected for this show only.

I don't really think that a special item is fair when it is completely unavailable for such a large amount of people.

You guys do know that a lot of people *actually fly to the city* to attend this the biggest of all comic conventions, right?
People from around the world come every year. It's the biggest and best of its kind.
Folks who have taken the time and made the effort to come to the con will get the benefits of the event. It's exactly like ingame earnings - just because one character got some thing on their badge list, doesn't mean all characters do. Sorry if you're not going to attend, but it's called "incentive".
I'll be there with bells on.

Yes, I do know that; however, it is not exactly like any in-game earning, because in-game earning won't cost me hundreds of dollars that I don't have for plane tickets, the actual event, hotel etc.
It isn't like the wedding pack that was a measly $10.
Like I said, I know that no one gives a [censored], but I think that everyone should have access to the same in-game items.

If you're going to advertise that way, why the hell advertise it to the existing player base, most of whom cannot attend? If an exclusive item should go to anyone, it should be to non-current customers.
Consider making the code for new accounts only. I sure as hell do not want to see an elite few flashing their exclusive bling unless it was for a good purpose - like adding to the player base.
If not, then remember this the next time you give out a costume token vet reward. Loyal customers deserve the bling, not a few convention-goers. Just going to Comic Con is reward enough!

Yes, we have booked a club and DJ for the event. We thought a party would be a perfect way to end Comic Con.

I have to agree with Lovelife here. Too me it feels like I'm being punished cause I can't afford a couple thousand dollars to attend the Comic Con. In game events should be for everyone, like they did with the Manticore wedding earlier this year. Not for those select few that can take off work and pay a thousand dollars or more for plane tickets, hotel rooms, meals, etc.
But doing it the way their doing it, is just discriminatory. Thats how I feel, I feel I'm being discriminated against just cause I don't have the money.
Way to go. Giving out exclusive in-game items is a sure fire way to XXXX off your loyal customers who can't attend this event due to whatever circumstances. It's easy for all of you who are going to get on here, and flame those who are complaining about a legitimate issue. I don't see why someone who can dispose of hundreds of dollars to attend a comic convention should get any more perk than someone who's disposed of hundreds of dollars for over 4 years on your product, in fact those that have paid for your game should take precedent over your internet "lollygaggers" If you're smart, what you'll do is offer whatever it is to the rest of your subscriber base, even if it is for a price. At least this way nobody has any legitimate reason to complain. You know with the rising cost of food, gas, and other necessities, when it comes time to renew my subscription, I am finding more and more reasons to not choose to keep this game as part of my entertainment budget.

We aren't doing the in game exclusive item to upset anyone that cannot make the event. We are part of the show and this is part of our giveaway to our supporters that will be at the show.
Someone mentioned the in game wedding, and that by and large was also an exclusive event because not every player got the chance to attend. We will never be able to keep everyone happy, but we do like to take the opportunities that are presented to us to do what we can when we can.
