Glad you guys had a good time. I have to represent at Comic Con in the morning tomorrow, so it's an early night for me. It was awesome to hang out with so many CoH / CoV players tonight and hear your stories, talk shop and have a great time! As always, the City wouldn't be alive if it weren't for the players!

I have pics of Ex_Libris leading a /e DrumDance routine. Gonna hafta post those tomorrow!

Oh yeah, and there are a lot of good looking people playing this game... either that or a whole lotta people showed up at the wrong party... haha

I really wish I would have been at the party. I had to do the husband thing: Take wife and kids out for dinner, then take wife out to shop for clothes. *sigh... I never get to have fun :P Ah well, get the pics up everyone!

Okay, morning after (or is it afternoon now?)...

So initial thoughts:

1. Ex Libris kicks [censored] like 3:16.
2. So many gamers can't dance, but damn, it's something that can just be fixed with another drink.
3. Uh, where did I park my car?

More elaboration (with pics) later.

I just got back home from San Diego. My legs are still sore from walking everywhere.

The party was great. Thanks Ex and Lighthouse.

If I knew there would be food at the party, I wouldn't of ate at Chive.

Too much good stuff last night. Man my head still hurts a little Get enough drinks in some gamers and it's pretty easy to break the ice

It was great talking to Ex, LH, Blue Steel, and Brian. My small group had a great time socializing and tearing it up on the dance floor too

I'll get the pics on the SG PhotoBucket in the next few days, but we're stoked for October

Oh god yes. It was funny though, cause they did the ingame dance emotes.
I just got back, the Con was a blast. Kevin Smith was hilarious as usual.

The party was pretty fun, it was nice meeting some of the staff and seeing that we do have some good looking people play this game. You know who Im talking about if you went. What was really cool was when the people from the other room wandered into ours. Bunch of gamers mixed in non gamers dressed to impress...good times.

It's na fair, I went to comicon last year, and all I got was a tabula rasa beta key and told "Sorry, no print out, no drawing. No you can't log in with your own account on the demo machines and show the artist." I didn't even need the TR key cause of auto-assault.
This year? Nope, moved 1000 miles further away, no freak costume for me...

Pray I never develop time travel, or suddenly history will be rewritten with a horde of Me's swarming the booth.

Woooo Saturday night was FUUUUUN
I just wish I hadn't stuck my camera in box in my garage =x
Given the full day of comic-con+the aubergine party+a small furry creature at my house that likes to wake up at 5 AM, I was a zombie all day Sunday ^_^;
It was so awesome being able to meet the players and place faces to the various names, even though it seemed there was a virtual cherry-pick of different people from different servers (I swear I met one person from each server, and no one really from my server...though to be honest I'm not surprised LOL)
Kythera doing the sketches of the signature heroes on post-it notes was fun to watch or maybe I'm just easily amused by artists since I lack any discernible talent (even my handwriting sucks :P) Her drawings were still really, REALLY good, though.
Well, since I just turned 21 a few months ago and most of my friends are a little younger than me, this was also the first time I've ever actually been in a REAL bar/nightclub (in the U.S. at least ) so it was a great experience for me in more ways than one. Also it was the first time I ever danced in public...so yeah I sucked but that's not what matters!! FUN IS WHAT MATTERS!!!!

Anywho, good meetin ya'll, hope we can do it again!!

My wife and I made it to the party after watching the costume contest. Apparently the serious party happened BEFORE we got there and we just caught the wind-down. Still very excellent things [I didn't get to applaud the girl in the "metal" costume w/ lacey cape.] Hung out a bit with Ex Libris, Blue Steel, some of us whose names I didn't get and some who I did.

Also hung out at the CoH booth at a couple points. Got to see Blue Steel tank a highly inquisitive player or two, tried to start a rumor [new EAT: The Devoured!] and showed off some of my characters on a very, very pretty setup. (NOVA on... how big WERE those screens?)

Mini-guides: Force Field Defenders, Blasters, Market Self-Defense, Frankenslotting.

So you think you're a hero, huh.
@Boltcutter in game.

had my card to get into the party but ended up getting into an advanced screening of the movie Choke. the movie was good, but sounds like the party was a lot of fun too...

I got back from SDCC yesterday. Despite the huge crowds, I had a good time. It was nice to meet and talk to a few of the behind-the-scenes folks like Ex Libris, Lighthouse and Blue Steel as well as some fellow players.

Alas, I didn't win the fancy-schmancy computer, but I did get a sketch of my character, and I had fun at the party during the brief time I was there. I also got a FREEM shirt, which I shall wear proudly to the quizzical looks of all those around me.

Now that I'm back I'm looking forward to logging on and playing my toons a bit. I'm starting to go into withdrawl from not being able to play them for 6+ days!

Don't feel bad. I live down the street from the convention center and this was the first comic-con I have missed in 10 years. We both got screwed.
