Discussion: Comic Con - San Diego July 23-27th
I also want to reply here with some additional information to head off some of the inevitable questions that may come up:
First, about the Freakshow Boss special costume codes; we know that not everyone will like that we are doing this. Only 1,000 of these codes will be given out at Comic Con, so as such, not everyone who wants one will be able to get one (not to mention those players whod love to have one but are not able to attend this years Comic Con). However, everyone will have the opportunity to become a Freakshow Boss (and many more costumes) with this years coming Halloween Event.
Secondly, about the FREEM! T-shirts. We know that our current PlayNC Online Store is a digital store only. As such, we dont make physical goods (such as t-shirts) available. We understand that there is a desire for such items and have passed that feedback along.
Lastly, were very excited for this years Comic Con, as well as our presence at the coming Penny Arcade Expo and the City of Heroes Hero Con. Oh, and on the subject of trade shows, we also have heard your previous feedback about the desire for the City of Heroes team to be more available at a wider array of shows (such as shows on the East Coast). Of course, we cant accommodate everyone, but we do want to let you know that weve heard you and passed that feedback along to our management.
As always, thanks very much for your continued interest, patronage and support!

Craft your inventions in AE!!
Play "Crafter's Cafe" - Arc #487283. A 1 mission, NON-COMBAT AE arc with workable invention tables!
Heehee, okay, you win. The Tank costume is nifty, but not upsetting. Works for me.
There are no words for what this community, and the friends I have made here mean to me. Please know that I care for all of you, yes, even you. If you Twitter, I'm MrThan. If you're Unleashed, I'm dumps. I'll try and get registered on the Titan Forums as well. Peace, and thanks for the best nine years anyone could ever ask for.
I love you guys. Im gonna make sure Im in line for the Con an hour or two prior to open Friday to try and get one of them passes.
Save me one you lovely bastards!
Wow that is a lot of sweetness being offered up at the NCsoft booth. Hopefully I'll be able to score a character sketch, one of the in-game costume codes, and a Freem! T-shirt. I'll also be entering the raffle for that computer. I don't know what it has in it, but it's got to be better than what's in mine at home.
My flight leaves in 23 hours!

I find it rather hilarious that the rig shown has AMD and ATI in it, when the game, and these message boards have Intel and NVidia stamped all over it.
Oh, and maybe it should come with a printout of BillZBubba's ATI guide to get it to work with CoH/V.........
[/ QUOTE ]
I find this hilarious as well. But it's not just the boards that are plastered with it, aren't the loading screens also plastered with Intel/nVidia logos? Hmmm....I think someone made an oopsie somewhere while putting together this prize
We'll see....

Hey gang,
In regards to the responses about the ATI/AMD PC, while we have other advertisement for Nvidia, our Director of Business and Marketing had this comment:

Although it is true that we launched City of Villains with NVidia as our official partner in 2005, ATI/AMD has expressed a strong enthusiasm and willingness to work with us. They are huge City of Heroes/Villains fans and we love that. We will be doing our part to promote them as well, and you can expect to see more promotions with them in the future.

I know some of you may have more tech related questions (as to how the game runs on ATI video hardware) but that's the info I have for you on the subject at this time.

I'm a sad ferret, I wish I was closer to Cali....
I'd love to go but it's not possible this year. I want my art, fun, code and Pocket D goodness with devs....
Maybe next year? (hoping you'll go back to comic con next year)
Shoot for miracles - the VALVe email campaign
I'll be there, and look forward to hanging out at the booth. Maybe we'll even bring the booth folk Krispy Kremes! (They seemed to enjoy the muffins we brought them a few cons back...)

Holy crap. They do? They will? They what?
What do we need to do to get ATI to release something that runs CoX?

I was thinking more like "how to run the game on ATI video hardware." The person who winds up with the machine should also be given the cell phone number of a tech support representative.

How about the number for a counselling service when they discover they can't run pretty things like water effects or Depth of Field?
Glad to hear there's possibly more going on with ATI now, though. I can dream of that next to having a Mac client for the game.
See you guys at the booth! Hopefully first thing Friday morning.

Say what?
Does this have anything to do with my ancient ATI thread being suddenly brought back from the dead and restickied?
I've already PMed Positron about this, but if there's more info to share, I'd love to hear it.
Be well, people of CoH.
