Looks like I will be there on Saturday. Should be fun. Hopefully they have computers set up like back at gen con a few years ago. Or a PvP competition like e3 05.

Not to detract from Comic Con, but if you live in Atlanta you ought to give Dragoncon a try too. It's not Comic Con but it is pretty fun, pretty big and a heck of a lot closer.

I will be there again. Ever since moving to SD, I have yet to miss a Comic Con. Plus, my friends from LA and my hometown come down every year which is nice since I don't see them much beyond this event. Also, I think this time I should make more of an effort to meet more players.

Welcome to San Diego from a native! Excited for Con, but still a bit in the back of my head. Have some other trips before then.
So we have confirmed:
We are having a Pocket D Party on Saturday night July 26th in San Diego. In order to attend you must have a VIP pass that you can pick up from our booth.
For those folks that have a COH/COV account there is a special item attached to your VIP pass so make sure you stop by early to ensure you get your badge. This event is not limited to only COH/COV players, so bring your friends too!
We will have more finalized details soon, but this much has been confirmed on our end so save Saturday night in your calendar. The first Heroes & Villains at the party will get free drink coupons.
I'll keep you posted as we know more.

Nice, but there is a costume contest around 8-11pm, its the highlight of the convention.
At least you all didnt put 2x weekend during comicon (again)

Masquerade starts at 8:30, but lines start to get in much earlier. Doors open at 7:45.
Yeah I'm wishing it wasn't Saturday night. Lots of folks will be at the masquerade. Personally I'll be attending my parents' 35th wedding aniversary dinner that night, but just about everyone else I know will be at the masquerade.

We know about Masquerade, but we were unable to secure a Friday night venue. Such is life! However this party will still be cooking by the time the contest is over and perhaps it is a perfect follow up.
As far as folks in costume at the party, well it wouldn't be Pocket D if folks weren't dressed up in there.

Yes, this event you must show ID at the door, regardless if you have picked up a ticket.

Thanks for the heads-up that it's a 21+ event. My niece will be bummed, but she's going to the masquerade anyway, so she can't complain too much. Personally I'm looking forward to hanging out with a bunch of CoX folks instead of braving the crowds at the masquerade.
