As others have said, Horadric Cube. Wonder if it'll work if face planted to make a wakie? I also first thought, because of the obvious comparison to a Horadric Cube, of making higher tier inspirations from multiple low level ones. Well if it allows me to get rid of all those blue ones off of my regen scrapper who has both quick recovery and stamina 3 sloted with lvl 30 IOs and turn them into something useful then great. Some reason I swear the game will drop inspirations you never use more often, of course this is only an perception problem.

OK, not sure about the whole "drag any item" bit? Preview recipes before trading? Can that be done already in the trade window? Well I guess if you aren't standing next to one another it could be useful. Next useful step would be trading via Mail.

Are they going to have it where you can remove enhancements and place them in your tray so you wont have to respec everytime so you wont lose enhancements when you upgrade?

I'd really like a mini-dashboard of all the RES and DEF basics. It really is *amazingly* useful to know when you just got double-hit by Longbow Nullifer sonic grenades that you should move away *from* to get rid of that -60% RES penalty.

This will be incredibly useful on teams, where you want to help out your teammates with a recipe/whatever drop that you don't need. It may also lead to the Request channel being used for actual buying and selling. I do hope that they restrict which channels you can do this with to the Team, Request and maybe SG, Coalition and Global channels too (with appropriate permissions). There's enough spam in channels like Broadcast, Local and Help without folks hawking their wares on them too.

I'm wondering if these 8 trays are taken from the 1-9 trays we already have, or are in addition to those. Only my MMs come close to filling all 9 trays, and that's mostly because I use different trays for different minion command configurations (instead of number-pad binding), so this won't be a problem either way for me, but it could be for others.

I'm already planning on having my toggles in one break-away tray that I can easily monitor, since I activate most of those with binds anyway.

And while it's already been asked, I also want to know if the trays have a fixed number of slots in them, or if you can create a tray with 4 slots (as an example) if you wanted to.

OMFG. This is beautiful. I remember talking to pohsyb about this at the Meet and Greet. (Don't worry, NC lawyers, he didn't say anything about future issues. He was very good. Frustratingly good...heh.) I think they realized that with primary, secondary, epic, accolade, and veteran powers, we're running out of room. Not to even mention temp powers or macros.

All I can say is... ...This is almost too good to be true, if this was being posted by anyone else than a game dev, I would call them a liar and spit on their shoes! I've been wanting almost all of this for ages, issue 12 is going to kick [censored]!

The new power trays are going to be shaped like a PS2 controller for my scrappers, tanks, brutes and blasters... >_>

I thought these improvements looked pretty good, but something immediately sprang to mind when reading them:

"Why hasn't the store purchase GUI been revamped to make it easy to find specific enhancements?"

Sure, it's easy enough if you've been playing this game for a long time. (Well, actually, that's a bit of a lie - even as a 24 mo vet I have trouble skimming the store list for something unusuaul like a run speed enhancement.) Think of how many newbies are alienated by that. That's money right out of the pocket.

A good quick fix would be a check box that greys/filters out everything that isn't appropriate: not usable by your origin, not slotable in your power sets, of appropriate level only (e.g if you're 22 only show 20-25th level). However, a completely revamped store interface that simply allows the player to choose what's being enhanced would probably be optimal. Perhaps even integrate it directly with the powers screen.

Another thought is to perhaps have the Level-Up boost come at 5 bubs (half a level) instead of 10 bubs. Get players excited with a bit of a "half way there" bonus. Change this to every quarter level at 40+.

This is all awesome. Being able to click on someones name in the chat is sweet, u can do that in LoTRO and i used it alot. Its much easier than typin a name in search and still not being able to add to friends and stuff. Also bein able to link enhances and recipes in chat so u can show them to people w/o the trade window is nice. Also for someone who asked earlier in this thread, i think when u lvl up u get all the inspirations applyed to u not placed in ur tray, i think anyway from the way i read it.

I would guess they replace the THREE trays we already have. We don't have 9 trays, we have 9 possible pages of powers in 3 trays. I bet they'd keep the 9 pages and they're just redoing the window layout that puts them on the screen.



I wonder if this will be accompanied by any improvements to the way Respecs trash your tray layouts. For example, /savetray /loadtray commands similar to the way we save keybinds.
