    I enjoyed rift and would still be playing if I had time to raid but my schedule now just makes it hard to play. If you can not raid you can not get the good gear so their is no point in playing. You really need to raid two times a week and also run some of the 10 man raids when you can to gear up. You can gear up to a degree running 5 mans on armor but you miss out on the weapons you need
  2. Basically NCSoft is the group of liars we thought they where. Integrity my **** the company has previous trust question due to how they handle their business. Funny how people did not trust NCSoft statement and it is confirmed once again NCSoft is once again lying for PR reason which now no one will trust anything they say now it has leaked out.

    Way to go NCSoft just undermine yourself further, just another reason to avoid any project that has your name attached.

    Like I said have fun going bankrupt NCSoft

    I did rift for a year before i came back recently enjoyed the game but schedule changes made it where I could not raid regularly. If you are not able to raid their is no real point in playing the game IMO. The best gear comes from raiding

    No clue I was doing Rift for a year but i can not commit to Raids which makes it pointless if you are not raiding. I came back here because it matched my new schedule run what you can when you can and you can still be powerful.

    As simple as this game was it was also the most complicated because of all the formulas of to hit vs acc vs debuff versus debuff resistance. regen etc.

    Can you help?

    OK here was my build it was updated two things have changed you have a free slot to play with PVP IO etc or modify it if you have rebirth and do not need the heal but you want a heal to fight AV's.

    The change I made right when I got back was I switched out the Touch of death I had in Fire Sword and put the scrapper aito into GFS and moved the Mako set from GFS to firesword. OH and I no longer have 3 slotted HO's for DDR which is why I have a free slot that was nerfed and no longer works.

    That is basically what I ran per-incarnates other wise

    Can you help?

    I will post my pre Incarnate build I used for +4x8 and AV's I took out about 10+ AV's solo including Inferno who has a 50% fire Resistance.

    I had aid self back then if you have rebirth then you probably do not need aidself.

    I took out a pylon with about 230dps I was in the list all this was per-incarnate

    Have to wait until I get home so it will be later tonight
  7. Ok I just came back this last month so I am slow catching up on all the changes after being gone over a year.


    I was not able to test BIO read quite a bit have the rough numbers and stuff from Mids. I want to pair up DM with either WP or BIO (replacing my dm/da and dm/sr I made way back in the pre IO days).

    They both have taunt auras which is a must for me now days.


    Things that are similar
    Layered approach
    S/L Resistance
    Regen
    Non crashing T9's
    Endurance Management is easy
    PSI is not a hole

    WP Pluses
    Steady Regen #'s set and forget
    Skip able powers in Resurg and SOW(not that I would skip SOW)
    Defense debuff resistance (not that it helps much being so small)
    -tohit

    Cons
    Big Burst damage hurts
    No heal
    Taunt aura is weak compared to most


    Bio
    Regen can hit numbers similar or more than WP
    Self Heal
    Damage Aura
    Flexibility in switching between more survival vs more damage etc
    -regen (hey helps on those pesky AV's)

    Cons
    Take all powers and can needs lots of slots
    Clicky set almost a cross between regen & DA
    -tohit can really hurt
    No defensive debuff resistance


    Am I missing anything and what was people impression in Beta of BIO

  8. Have two /sr scrappers from back in the day back when perma elude rocked

    Anyways most the reason where listed why to take it but it still has a psi hole and no heal to help and on scrappers no taunt aura fun.

    The old advantage of a click mezz protection is gone

    Fun set but now days I skip it in favor of other sets
  9. Well no attack vitals for me I hate vengeful slice with a passion.

    The animation just annoys me for some reason. I will test out some stuff here soon I am at 49 and need 4 more purples still for sweeping strike

I have around 4 billion influence to work with now, but making more isn't really an issue. I would prefer not to have to try for PVP IO's however.... I asked on server in the help channel but got mixed responses so I thought it would be best to come here.
    I just came back hear after a year away so i am not sure about the gm spot but with all the new incrante I am sure you can. On the AV front I know shield can hell i did about 10-12 different ones with my fire/shield (have aidself in the build) before incarnates and took down inferno even with 50% fire resistance.

    I also did it with my dm/sr

    Some Katana/wp have done ridiculous stupid things (well Iggy roxor did) yea he ran a master mode ITF solo all before incarnates.


    All four sets built right can solo AV's Super Reflexes, Invulnerability, Willpower, and Energy Aura. No one set can do them all Willpower has the best overall ability to survive more types of Av's because of it's layered survivability. EA has a heal makes life easier, Inv has Dull Pain which can act as a heal and a regen buff. The other three outside WP have big psi holes after playing sets with taut auras I say look at WP. Inv and EA if you go scrapper.

    You could wait and see what Bio armor finished looks like since it will have -regen always nice to have with AV's

    Looks like their will be a floor and they are no longer going to punish you for global recharge (alphas still do)

    So it will be a slight nerf to some but not as bad as the initial one they where looking to implement. Just adds another headache to building out my toons. Now I have to look at my db/ea I am working on

  20. Ok as I work on my 8th level 50 DB/EA this one is to replace my Fire/SD as my main.

    Anyways is overload worth taking or should I skip it for something else. My build will be soft capped with out Energy Cloak on every thing but energy and psi. With Energy cloak it will be 50% to most things except the two listed above. Yes it only has 50% ddr but t does have a heal to help out.

    Just lookign for people that have played EA and what they think of it

    This is totally Hypothetical I am guessing on what they are going to do with the attacks in spines and going of base damage only (from mids no enhancement)

    If barb gets the .83 (they said sub 1s so this makes sense) to put it in line with the other tier 1 attacks like MA, DM, etc it will have a 57.18 dps

    If lunge gets changes I expect which would be Cobra strike/crane kick numbers it will have like a 73dps (The MA attacks are very close in activation times and they said everything increased makes the most logical sense based of that statement)

    Impale unchanged is 49.13dps and throw spines is 49.70 and ripper is 63.38

    So if all the rest stays unchanged the new attack chain will feature Barb, Lunge and Ripper I have not worked out an optimal chain not really my forte maybe one of the dps experts will chime in on my hypothetical changes. My best eyeball guess looks something like this lunge>Barb>Ripper>Barb>lunge or something along that lines wanting lunge and ripper up as often as possible

    This is just a guess but if they make the changes i think they are to Barb Swiped and Lunge Impale would become a dps loss to use in any change unless they shorten the animation time on impale as well.

    I will need to go back and look at the spread sheet to see which attacks had the highest DPS and try and figure out the best chain (not my specialty)

  24. Scrapper stealth has never suppressed auras of any type. Unless they added it for Scrapper sin EA then that would have been new.

    That is something for stalkers not scrappers
  25. Oh great idea that is why I no longer play my spines/da, dm/da, katana/sr db/elec or dm/sr

    After playing shields and having a taunt aura everything else with out one is just frustration to play. In fact since I came back this past few weeks I started my new project this week a DB/EA and guess what taunt aura and it is so much more enjoyable leveling than db/elec. I guess I am lucky I never got into Inv early in my COH playing days.

    yes four of those scrappers where leveled to 50 before IO's
