Anyone notice that each of the "ushers" has that pointy black stuff at their wrists? You can see them well in Whisper's photos.
I played around in the costume creator and discovered that they actually have the "tied" glove option selected under the sleeves instead of bare hands. Sent in a bug report but might as well mention it here.
Is this an accident or a clue to their true nature?

Well at least there's a workaround for that. Set colors linked and change the primary color to what you want for the inside of the veil, then unlink the colors to set everything else.

So what is it about Valentines day and CoX? For the last three years there has been something new introduced that seems specially tailored to annoy people.
This year: a $10 package with very little highly specialised emotes/costumes in it.
Last year: The Valentines day bug (which haunts us still today)
The year before that: Costume options were made avaialble for inviting x number of people to play. (They corrected this misstep last year)

Other than that, it's a V-Day event for your alts.
Edit: the special add for this year's V-Day event is the wedding. The Wedding Pack will be available indefinitely - but it made sense to release it during the romantic season.

True, but I could easily do a cape on my Huge character. None of the Back Options are locked. I have to wonder if that's a bug though. However, it's currently possible to do both a Cape and Tux on Huge or Female characters. But NOT a Cape and a Veil.

Last Valentines, for reasons that has never been explained, The servers began sending 2 to 3 times more infomration than normal. The net result was It would bombard slower connections to death.
The closest they came to even addressing the issue was to stop zombie from wandering around in Dark Astoria This fixed a symptom of the actual problem but failed to address it. After all. Zombies wandered around before valentines day in Dark Astoria.
It's a bug that most people on DSL don't notice unless they look for it. The problem has become increaseingly worse even for some high end users though as more stuff is added. Wentworths, A Rikti Invasion, Scrapyard. All of these can peak 16k incoming if you hit it at the wrong time.
... Never once noticed it, nor do I recall anything about it on the forums... But, whatever.
