What great stories!
I had the pleasure of teaming a friends 5 year old once while playing. Her son wanted to play his Pirate character in our group. I was playing a cute female character wearing a tiny little bikini outfit on my boyfriends account. After we formed the team and met up the 5 year old decided that I was the princess and everyone else in the group was there to protect the princess. Before every fight he would yell (in vent) "WAIT!!!!" It would get quiet and then he would take off into the mobs and yell "GO, GO, GO!!!!" If my character was across the room and taking damage he would come running from a far yelling "I'll save you princess".
Totally fell in love with the that little kid.. I laughed so hard that night and had a blast. -

Here's a costume I put together after watching the Austin Powers trilogy in one sitting. Personally, I think the psych pattern doesn't work well with vivid colours, so I went with dots.

The Psych pattern I see others using is a little to literal IMO. Bright funky colors like this. are good choices for "psychedelic".

I don't understand your logic in saying one thing must mean you do/did the other. Not once did I ever use the clicky missions just to PL a character, I happen to enjoy making sure EVERYTHING in a mission is not moving when I complete the mission and this includes all instanced missions (I play a Stalker as my main Villain). Seeing you point that out though must mean you did use the blinky missions to PL characters, why else would it be your come back/put down unless it's a guilty conscience? See how silly that sounds?
Do not make generalizations about people you know nothing about simply because they disagree with you and have an opinion of their own. -

shhhhhhh!! So far I have found this to be the only effective way to punish my unrulely pet Scrapper when he gets trigger happy. Toss him in the Tower for a few mins to cool his jets and then everything is rosey again.
Not everyone uses the Towers to grief people. I hope the Devs will not remove the ability to port people into the Towers however add a timer on them or something that way people are not just left there to rot. -

Actually you prove my point. As long as people have the attitude that "the best way play is to get 3 friends and find single players low on health and kill them" then you are going to keep the average player out of PvP zones. The only players in PvP zones are going to be other gankers.
While posters say there is nothing wrong with running from battles I still haven't seen one reason WHY. Dieing doesn't cause debt or hurt your PvP stats in this game. Seems to me you're the whiney ones worried about your pride. "I don't want to play if I can't win every time."
As I said most PvPers only want to play if they have an unfair advantage. This is why it doesn't work. Everyone can't have an unfair advantage, it stands to reason.
So if they change the rules, they change the rules. You can still use whatever powers you have to win. You will just have different powers.
The real goal is to make PvP attractive to the mainstream player not to hardcore PvPers, they will play regardless.
The subtext is who cares what gankers think? If your main goal is to ruin other people's game, I see no reason to respect your opinion.

Did you even read the thread much less my reply to you? Not one of my posts says I think it's "ok" to fight 3 on 1. I didn't say it was "not" ok either. If you do not like it then find a team. If you find you are being repeatedly hunted by the same 3 then leave the zone or send a petition for griefing, if none of those are an option for you then by all means feel free to continue your posts that have nothing to do with Stalkers being overpowered.

Like you said here "most" surely by that you did not mean "all". If you just want to complain about the way most people are playing then why do it here in the Stalker forum? -
I am gathering you just do not like much about PvP.
- You mention the whole 3 on 1 battle. I am not worried about whether or not it's 3 heroes or 3 villains on top of 1. Makes no difference who it is playing, there is nothing wrong with running from a battle if your health is in danger.
- Some whine about Scrappers not having holds so I am guessing you skimmed my post rather than actually read it.
Holds, Fears, Debuffs, Travel Powers, any power that will help you win the battle USE IT!

The stalker decides to attack me while I'm fighting a boss, for my SG to get prestiage, and currently they're praised for such tactics. We don't have gms in the zone moderating and dealing with such issues. I can't really expect it though. Bear in mind though that heroes still have to fight wars on two fronts, while most villians have been given powers to exploit heroes from the beginning.

Did you forget you were in a PvP zone and what exactly a PvP zone is? Why on earth would a Dev need to moderate someone attacking someone in a PvP zone?
Not much else to say, seems more like you just do not understand the concept of PvP and PvP zones. -
I think it's a ridiculous idea to supress or eliminate Travel Powers in the PvP zones for any and all AT's. Why? Because that is a very valid tactic when death is hanging over your head, debt or no debt.
Calling people cowards because they opt to run rather than die is just childish and rather pathetic not to mention obnoxious and whiney. Cry to some other player that will actually fall for the reverse psychology trick (I call you a name and you fight me to prove your not said name). If you are doing it in the spirit of PvP while in the game and in the PvP zones then fine but to come here and call those that run cowards (not in the spirit of the game) because you think someone should stand and fight is just plain sorry and ya really need to get over yourself.
If you dont want them to run I suggest you, kill them fast, port them back to you, or use a travel power that will let you keep up. You could also use a power such as a hold, fear, debuff (siphon speed) etc or, just move the hell onto the next target.
If your ego is to hurt and to big to do one of those things then maybe the problem is really you and your playstyle rather than the player that ran? -

I thought the most effective way to combat a Stalker was to interrupt that AS, if you saw it coming; if you did not see it coming then running will not stop the hit. (not sure of the range after AS is in annimation though but might be something the Dev's change)

I wouldn't say it suggests a problem, it does however make it clear who does and doesn't mind a run to the hospital. I said I would die for the bounty but that didn't mean I wouldn't fight for the bounty. If my bounty is set on someone that is standing with a team of Heroes my option is to go for the bounty and risk death which will probably happen or not go for the bounty.
Not sure what the Devs could do to make "everyone" care about death as much as the next person. -

There are so many factors involved in this your logic on MM's being most popular in the game so should be most popular in PvP just doesn't make much sense.
1. Maybe those same MM creators enjoy playing a Stalker in PvP
2. Maybe those same MM creators do not enjoy PvP
3. Maybe those that enjoy Stalkers also enjoy PvP
4. Maybe those that enjoy PvP opted to try Stalkers and like that as well.
5. The game is still new, maybe many Heroes (myself included seeing as I have not logged into my hero since release of CoV) are off playing Villains and just haven't felt like being a Hero?
6. To many factors to say the end result is that AT's are underpowered while the Stalker AT is overpowered.

Maybe you will see this change, no idea. I can remember Fliers and SJ'ers in the Arena being whined about because the SS'ers could not catch them and they were able to do "drive by hits". My solution to that problem then was TP Foe which I picked up on "every single character" (Hero and now Villain) at level 8, 6 on my Stalker.
The difference in Stalkers is, their whole AT is based around "Stealthing". A good Stalker you will not see until you are face down. I dont see the difference in how they get to that point be it walking up to you or tp'ing in.
Dying isn't fun for everyone regardless of how quick the death is. Do you play a Stalker or is this all based off of "Stalker killed me, I dont like Stalkers"?

Running away is the most effective trick for "any" AT in the game when death is looming. I do it on "all" of my characters, this is not a Stalker thing. Maybe the lack of PvP is a Server thing not an AT thing. Last I heard Heroes were ruling the PvP zone on many of the servers so, not sure why the server you play on is lacking in either side. I have also heard that many Stalkers feel like they are not contributing much on teams because of their damage being weak after their initial strike. Seems to go both ways here too. Again, something I am sure the Devs are looking into.

Sure it's related to bounty and choice and option and just about any other reason you can come up with. There are plenty of people in this game that do not mind death and a run to the hospital. Not sure why it shocks you to see it when you can put a decent price tag on that death in the form of infamy and SO's. I would most certainly die for a bounty. Does that make it bad or wrong? No, it simply means I do not care if I die. Doesn't make the death any less than what it was other than it's clear to you as my bounty, that is all you were.
